Hello guys, I am running on my Samsung S3 Sotmax Ultimate Stock ROM v13 (XXELLA) with Yank555 v3 kernel. My phone was charget up to 68% when I went to sleep. I had about 9 hour sleep, and in the morning my battery level droped to 38%. Phone was runnunig SetCPU from 00:00-06:00 on 200MHz because I was at sleep. So I wanted to reduce power drain by pushing my CPU speed down. Even without SetCPU my battery drain is hudge. Before with my stock ROM after sleeping in morning I only had 12% drain over night but not 30% drain!!! Can any one help me???

You answer your own question.

Stock 12% go back to stock and or run Better Battery Stats . See multiple same battery drain posts .

Run Better Battery Stats and see kernel wakelock to find the app causing this drain.

Hi guys,
I'm using GingerMod v0.3 with the default kernel (ninphetamine 2.1.3).
My battery was at 100% when i went to sleep. After about 8 hours when i woke up, it dropped to 92%. Is that normal?
I have turned off automatic sync as well as gps. Even "Back up my data" and "Automatic restore" was off. Display was at a minimum 3%. Most of the battery % was used up by Android OS.
given the percentage of the draining 8% over 8 hours i quess is pretty good. I quess different rom + kernel produce different effects. Yours is considered ok.
ya the drain is quite normal

1% an hour during sleep mode is considered good? i had the impression that it would only drop 3-4% during sleep.

More than good I'd say. And you never can have a constant rate, one night it will be 3-4%, other night it will be 9-10%, depends on the processes running at that period. If you have Better Battery Stats installed then you will be able to see what had cost that extra drainage under Partial Wakelocks section.
I normally have 3-4% drain in an overnight period of 8-9 hours, but yesterday it was 15%. Then I saw it was Camera360 Ultimate which was running and searching for GPS!
Regards.
That's about similar to what i get on standby with data enabled so yeah good battery there/
Thats good ? Mine drops 1 percent overnight (+-10 hours) with original battery Or stays at 100 until morning when I wake up with 2000mah bat... Data and wifi turned off.
But I presume thats just me being battery friendly user
I tried better battery stats and it seems the Email app is consuming the most resources during sleep. hmm...
bought I9300 phone yesterday, and it drains battery like 15% per hour of normal usage.
so i rooted the phone to undervolt, and even undervolting im having same issue. it does not drain battery in idle mode,
but as long as the screen is turned on, the battery drains very quickly and also the phones temp goes up to almost 40 degrees.
u can see in the picture that batt drainage per hr is around 15%+ when in use and when its idel its only 2%+
its stock rom and stock kernel, can some one help me?

Not quite sure how you are undervolting with a stock kernel...
But if I am understanding you correctly, you are losing 15% per hour of usage? Meaning with the screen on you are losing 15%/hr? If that is the case you are looking between 6-7hrs of screen time per charge... and that is average to above average for screen on time for the phone.
If you do actually undervoltm it should help with the heating problems... Mine barly registers as warm now at -75mv even when playing a game...

I solved mine....
Drain your battery till it gets empty....
Then charge phone without turning it on....
Exactly 2hours 10 minutes it will be fully charged...
Then turn on phone..
Works for me.

hmmm really? its weird that this is suppos to be normal. before i had my pebble blue Tmobile version phone before, and that it only drains less than 10% with screen on, so it feels like this new phone is draining so much power.
i did undervolt with stock kernel with tegrak ultimate however its same temp with same usage i think

You could always try another kernel to attempt undervolting your phone to see if there is an effect.
I do agree that 40C is far to high for standard running temp..
Screen Brightness settings the same with your old TMobile version?
Power Saving Mode Enabled?

so if i undervolt using kernel... is it possible to re-install the stock back?
and which kernel should i use?
the tmobile one im using same setting as that.. and i dont power save.
Uninstall those korean bugged apps. Use BBS to check wakelocks and CPU states.
Than report here
okay this is my stats and I dont know whats wrong, nearly no wakelocks but 3G is draining this battery like a maniac
2:30 screentime
30 music player
anyone knows how to solve this drainage ?????
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda app-developers app
I flashed my SIII with Omega ROM v49 yesterday and noticing high battery drainage.
E..g. It came from 100 % to 85 % in 2h 22m in which i was in a phone call for 25 min and nothing else.
I have my data connection off, power saver on, wifi off most of the time, smart stay off, gps off. Screen was off maximum time.
Yesterday the battery drained in less than 12 hrs.
I use Battery Calibrator to calibrate my battery today too.
Is this a bug with v49? Because I used to have Samsung stock ROM which has a consistent battery for 36 hrs which include 3.5 hrs call time.
Need help here. Is it the problem with the ROM or something might be wrong in the device settings.

:good:
So I'm having some trouble with all the cm12.1 builds for togari so far,
they drain the battery so fast that the phone is nearly unusable.
I've done some looking around and it seams like the problems I'm seeing are "kernel wakelocks",
so can I solve it somehow or do I have to wait for cyanogen devs to find a fix?
CPU stats from system monitor:
Wifi vs No Wifi
Deep sleep 55% vs 88%
2,2GHz 37% vs 3,4%
Discharge sph 8% vs 1%
Kernel wakelocks on wifi(source: BetterBattertStats):
PowerManagerService.Wakelocks 15,2%
qcom_rx_wakelock 9,4%
event1-786 8,8%
event0-786 8,7%

Same here, drains about 30-40% of battery in 1 hour. Gets really hot. Im on SlimLP 5.1.1 by omar.
got it to work by wiping cache and dalvik. But still drains more than normal.
Charging the battery is slow, 5% in 1h with 1,4A 4,95v charging current.
Have you tried a wakelock detector app to research what's keeping it awake?
Hello guys, I have around 8% battery drain overnight on LineageOS 16 official stock kernel. Do you know how to fix this because it takes a lot of my sot?

force stop all apps.
airplane mode on overnight.
i think try malakas kernel and open fk manager close 4/8 cores
I'm also having this problem. Idle Battery drain is very big.
I'm using Franco kernel and kernel manager shows about 1% per hour idle drain.
I think this problem is related to the ROM.

I fix this by updating LineageOS through the updater in the settings. SoT and battery life is amazing now. Only 3% battery drain overnight.
