Hi everyone
I have been using dell streak 5 for the past 2 years.
Recently I have changed my mobile number and put the new sim into my Dell streak 5.
My new sim has a 3G connection.
Now my gmail, whatsapp and other android apps are not able to use this 3G connection. When i try to use whatsapp, gmail, uptodate and other apps it says that there is no active internet connection. However i am able to use these apps through WIFI.
However I am able to use 3G with opera browser freely. I could open opera and browse internet and download everything.
Only these apps are not able to use the 3G connection.
Furthermore, when i connect my dell streak 5 to PC with USB, it is showing a message that my USB is not recognized and the streak is not opening.
I have tried factory reset, but still the same problem continues.
Please help me out with my problem.
Thanks in advance.

I am trying to get onto market app via my phone to see if I can download any apps. I have created a google account and am trying to sign in via this market app but am unsuccessful and my phone screen is showing can't establish a reliable data connection to the server. This could be a temporary problem or your sim card may not be provisioned for data services.
Please help.....
does your internet connection work, for example when browsing the web?
Hello All,
My Market App is not downloading all the free apps (like facebook, espn, etc) on my Samsung Vibrant phone using my home WiFi connection. I go into the market app, use the search to find the app, click and scroll down to the app where it stays install. when i click install it says "starting download" and thats it.
I can browse the web, check my gmail and use pre-existing apps from my Vibrant using my home WiFi, however downloading new apps through Market app is still a problem.
I have read some forums and did Force Stop on Market Apps and Download Manager, and that did not resolve the issue; also tried rebooting. Also it downloaded some apps using another WiFi connection. I don't think its my WiFi at home, because my Laptop, iphone and iTouch all work fine in my home WiFi connection.
How can I download apps using WiFi connection at home? Is there another way to download apps, such as connecting the phone's USB cord to my Windows Desktop PC and downloading apps into the computer. Please help me out, I would highly appreciate it. Thanks!
Sincerely,
Moe

Hey there,
I'm new to this forum, and to this phone for that matter, but I think/guess your problem is not actually related to the actual android Market application but to your actual network connection (internet connection).
You must have an Internet connection set up on your phone, that means either Wireless Network, either Mobile Network (from your network operator).
First, check that you have a proper Internet connection set up (you can try with Browser app to connect to Google.com or something), and than try again the android Market.
Oh, and I also think that you must have a Google account in order to access the Market application.
Hope this helps
Two things you should check , first that you have good internet connection try opening the internet explorer , second you should have a google account this can be set by the wizard first time you run the google market
Sent from my LG-P500 using XDA App
my internet connection is smooth.... i tried login into google usin the browser and it comes....but only the android market , gtalk nd gmail apps don work....
Are you not able to open, log in and sync ur Gmail application in the phone?
If you are not able to do it , then just do a factory reset.
Hello all,
This is my first android phone, but my brother have a HTC Desire for some months and I have familiarized with android.
Have used the SGSII for 1 month now and all is going great except for the batery OS usage, but no big deal there, but since yesterday I'm having a problem with my exchange connection. Everytime I go to the email app it try's to connect and it says invalid username/account and I enter the correct data and it always say the same thing!
This problem only happens while using 3G data connectivity, because in wireless mode it works fine and I receive/send emails. In 3G it also receive data in other apps like google maps, browser etc. but it looks like in the email app for exchange it's not connecting while using 3g connection!
Anyone knows what could be happening and what can I do to solve this problem?
Thanks

what happen with my cell phone? TKS.
Check ur access point they might have proxy enabled! Also check if background data is enabled!
Hi Galvic, my access point dont have proxy on enable. my phone working fine when i used wirelress connection. the problem is when I use the data plan or 3G. Only I can use the browser but I can't use any app(eg facebook, market).
Have you checked that data services are allowed in the settings?
