Hey guys, as we all have probably seen the epic new pie feature on ParanoidAndroid and been jealous, questioning, "why didn't i just get a nexus 4". well guess what, you don't need one. This launcher runs in the background and gives you the options for gestures and pie control, ALL ON SENSE (or any other rom). You can change the colors of pie, the position and it's amazing imo. This is not my work just wanted to let other people know about it in case they also have been very jealous of this feature. Here is a link to the thread. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1330150

Must say I was a bit skeptical, but this works very well from my experience so far. Plus it has a metric s**t-ton of options. I love options.
It is a nice app but is too difficult to set up for me. I am now using Button Savior Non Root for now. It doesn't require root to run and is easier to setup up IMO.

But does it have pie? Didn't think so!

Why would this require root ? There's apps that do something like this and doesn't require root...hopefully they update it

Want to just drop by and add another happy voice to this apk. Works great on DNA!

It worked right away for me... you have to slide your finger in from the edge of the display, like in the pie feature from the labs for the browser app, or Windows 8.

Maybe I just dont have enough experience with this app ut it looked like the pie stuff was on the lock screen. How do you enable that?
I dusted off my G-NEX and loaded up PA to check out the pie. The pie is cool but I didn't really like that it removes the notification bar too.
I've loved LMT on the DNA though. It's been pretty slick so far.

Found the APK. Seems small for an app and does not install. I havent tried to push it with adb. Anyone wanna try and get this to work on the Bionic?
I'm also interested in this also. I will try a few things on my side. OP I will report back.

that's a really clever app..can't wait to try that out!
When I went to install this on the DX2 using droid explorer, I saw it required 2.3.5 Android. Bout to upgrade to that one and see what happens

Didn't work on 2.3.5 leak for the DX2. I'll have to try to install it again using Droid Explorer to get the permissions list again
Didnt work on stock rooted 2.3.5 either. I permission is important info we will need. Im going try it on a WIP PORT ROM of Droid X.

I doubt it will work on anything except the Razr... MAYBE the Bionic
Doesn't work on rooted bionic either, confirmed.
There is probably some other files needed other than just the apk.
probably because it needs more than just the apk to work, Ill look through my razr and see if there is anything you need
Would love to get this app on my Galaxy Nexus when I get one!
Anyone currently working to port this app still?
Honestly... i have the razr and obviously it came with smart actions.... if you are really wanting to make your phone a Smart Phone... get Tasker.... way more sophisticated and a thousand times more customizable than smart actions... although it will take a bit to get use to.... but the sky and your imagination is the limit to what you can do with tasker.... Good luck
Smart Actions likely has libraries associated with it. if not also integrated with framework
Smart Action App Bug
I use smart action app to change my wallpaper when i go home, and everytime I revert to my original wallpaper, it is degraded. Each time it gets worse. Not sure if this happens with launchers other than Go Launcher. I'll post 3 screen shots. Original Wallpaper, one after 5 smart action app changes, and one after 10 smart action app changes. File size also jumps significantly.

Is there any app out there similar to the ICS app folder on the Nexus? I like how you can group everything and how it shows several icons at once. Anything similar to that in the Market?

We will have it stock when ICS drops.

Try this:
https://market.android.com/details?...wiY29tLmF5ZWxlY3Ryb25pY3MuQXBwRm9sZGVyUHJvIl0.
I came from ICS with the Galaxy Nexus, the functionality is almost identical. Worth the 1.99 IMO.
I really liked the ics keyboard on the Nexus and the speech to text function with it. It was extremely fast and you could continue talking without having to stop and pressing enter all the time. What's the closest keyboard in the market that I could use to mimic the ics keyboard? Also is there a way to get that speech to text ics functionality on the Rezound?

I had the exact same question...
Thank God for forums (and the dudes that invented it). I had the same exact question after reverting back to GB from ICS and didn't realize how much I missed that feature again until recently (I also was an iPhone user for a few years ). I'm surprised HTC's folder "widget" is so limited..
There were good suggestions here, but ultimately seems like Folder Organizer is the best app for this particular job for me. Has more settings and options than I was looking for, but the main function works well and it's very fast, unlike other apps like SiMi.
Thanks to all those that posted their recommendations.
Anyone else catch this?

You wanna see a real easter egg? Go into the About settings of the phone and keep hitting the Android version. You get a Nyan cat animation with Ice-Cream-Sandwich style droid bots. Keep holding your finger down on the bot when he appears.
This works on my Galaxy Nexus, not sure if HTC took it out or not.

It does give you options in the notifications, but he wants to have the options on the lockscreen (I assume because you can't pull down the notification if your phone is locked by methods that are more secure than swipe to lock).

Actually, I have the standard lockscreen. But, it doesn't do it from the lock screen. It only does it when I'm using the phone with another app, not from unlocking the phone.
Ok first things first, I have a AT&T Samsung GS2 Skyrocket (US). Updated it a few months ago to the long awaited but crappier ICS; left lots of GB crumbs........ Anyways, may or may not work on other devices, but tried on Samsung Galaxy S3 and it worked also (both of which are on the ICS boat):
* Pull down the notification bar. Double-tap your regular ol' analog clock on the top right. *
BOOM - World clock pop-up like the one you'd find on Android's new tablets! Somewhat irrelevant use for me, but still a new Android Easter Egg!!!!
I might be coming late to the party & I've just never heard of this, or I might of just discovered something new. But I have to give thanks to the 3 yr old who managed to make it appear and who, ultimately, managed to make my jaw drop... SMH kids these days
