Have you bothered to search? You can't unlock the AT&T L920 yet so even if it worked, you wouldn't be able to use it on T-Mobile for another 6 months. There's no way to know if it even enables the 1700MHz band unless someone flashes the rogers firmware and then goes to roam on some carrier with 1700MHz with their AT&T SIM card.
you can flash Rogers ROM to the AT&T Lumia 920 and vice versa no problem. those are the only two devices that i know you can flash with any RM-820 ROMs as they have the same device/model ID, RM-820. tried flashing RM-821 ROMs onto my Lumia 920 and it didn't let me. even the developer ROM did not let me flash it. i'm using Rogers Lumia 920 though, but i have an AT&T Lumia 920 ROM as well, and flashed on both.

ATT ROM will let u enable internet sharing in other service provider like telus? ROGERS ROM seems disable this feature in other providers.

Will the rom disable the AWS frenquency or it will keep it?
I was really hoping this would at the very least allow me to use my Rogers sim card in my ATT 920, since the recovery file included a suspicious looking file named something like *Rogers_ATT_FIDO_simlock.bin* or something similar. But flashing the Rogers rom does nothing in terms of unlocking for the ATT Lumia

Well in term of flashing, it won't unlock your phone at all. The unlock mechanism bases on your phone IMEI. Flashing can only debrand your phone to whatever you want. Furthermore, flashing some variant might allow the phone to receive firmware update from that variant which could lead to potential enable some features.
so if you flash this ROM does it debrand all the AT&T crap? Does it also let you use internet sharing properly on another carrier?

Maybe or maybe not. Someone need to try to see. Tethering is just only the software inside WP8, but sometime it depends on the firmware version that allows it to be working properly.
Guys this is HUGE and as I will explain bellow, is exactly what we were waiting for.
The method reminds me a lot of what we used to do with Nokia Symbian devices, we were able to change the device product code, product codes were broken down per countries and regions and then re-flash the device with the country specific firmware. This is how we use to debrand and add local languages to the Nokia Symbian Devices.
Now assuming that the German Guide is accurate and we can successfully flash the Rogers firmware to the AT&T Lumia 920 and the opposite, since this is the exact same hardware here are some key points:
1. First and to answer creamhackered question. NO by flashing AT&T phone with Rogers firmware, even thought it will take off the AT&T crapware, it will put in the Rogers branding. Rogers firmware though it only contains the Rogers Logo on startup screen and the Rogers my account App pre-install, which you can uninstall manually, nothing major but its still Rogers Branded.
2. Now this is the HUGE point and as of now I didn't saw anyone speaking or realizing it. There is a third Lumia 920 based on the same hardware and this is the Developer Edition which includes a pure/clean Firmware completely unbranded. Even thought the Developer Edition firmware is not yet available to the server yet, its only a matter of time until it pops up to the Nokia Update servers, I personally expect that to happen with the first major Windows Pone update. In other words if that happens and if that German Guide works, then we will be able to completely debrand the American variant of the Lumia 920 by flashing on them the Developers Edition Firmware! Especially the Rogers models that does not contain a carrier logo on the phone, will be exactly the same as the unlocked Lumias they sell in Europe, with the American Bands!!
Finally, assuming that the AT&T models will be lock for a couple of months (remember branded and locked devices are different things) the only negative aspect is that the Rogers Lumia 920 (which is unlockable(!)) only comes in Black for now, the Yellow color is rumored to also be available soon, but that's about it.
Again this is HUGE!!
i just flash rogers rom and firmware to my att lumia 920

Can you please tell me if you are getting the Rogers Logo when you turn the phone ON now?
And also did you used Nokia Care Software to make the switch? The firmware for the Developer edition is not available right? Only AT&T and Rogers?
Yep I get the Rogers logo and I use Nokia care software and I didn't see the firmware for developers

Try tethering to see if it will work with AT&T phone. Now if AT&T 920 can be unlocked, we could see if the Rogers firmware could enable the AWS band or not.
No , I got a message that said, you have no cellular connection check your connection and try again , everything works very good on my Lumia 920 ,mms , internet , but I don't know why a can not turn on internet sharing but i really don't use it

That because the Rogers firmware might block the tethering. There is a way to work around that has been posted in xda. It involves the process of adding another keyboard to trigger update and then tethering will work. Not really sure if it will work on Rogers firmware or not, but it works on dev firmware.
I already tried that trick with no luck and change my apn setting to see if it work but nothing happen ( this is the apn that I have, apn is only the word "phone" ) and my internet work great , one thing that I notice is that I have the option to choose 2g,3g and lte with Rogers rom

So the internet sharing does not work even though you flashed the Rogers rom to ATT's Lumia 920 device? That's a bad news= =. I really want to use internet sharing with 3GB data plan. 5GB is too much. Let me know if you figure out a way to make it work. Thank you!
Nop , now when I try to turn on internet sharing the message to contact att to enable this feature shows

The Rodgers ROM disables tethering when unlocked somehow. If anyone has a technical explanation of how this is possible please explain!
So I bought a Dev Lumia 920 used off eBay since I'm using T-Mobile and need the 1700mhz band.
I turned it on today for the first time (again, the phone is used so this is the first time for me) and briefly the AT&T logo appears...
The phone has AT&T live tiles too so now I'm starting to think I was bait-n-switched...
However the IMEI number in device settings matches the IMEI on the Dev box and the phone is missing the AT&T logo at the top left. I can prove it with pictures, lol.
So anyone know what's going on with this phone? Looks Like I have Dev hardware but AT&T software?
I've done a hard reset and the AT&T software stays... am i stuck with AT&T software?
With a T-Mobile SIM the phone makes calls, but only lets me access EDGE speeds...
Any insight is appreciated!

It looks like your best bet is to flash it!
So download Nokia Care Suite and navifirm+ 1.7
You're looking for the following:
Products: Nokia Lumia 920 (RM-821)
Releases: 1232.2110.1244.3002
Variants: RM-821_ROW_DeveloperDevice_VAR251040_Black_v2_Black (059R4H6)
Then find online how to flash it, and it SHOULD work. Not putting any promises though as I have got an EE-Locked Lumia 920

I think he probably has a North American version (RM-820) so I guess that flashing the RM-821 firmware would just brick the device (meaning that it would have to be re-flashed with a RM-820 firmware then in order to un-brick it)
But if your phone is a RM-820 I guess you should be able to flash it to the Rogers Canada firmware. And since the Rogers version of the phone does support the 1700 MHz band I think that this might unlock that band on your phone too.
But first thing I would do if I were you is to check your phone's product code (you can do that using the "Product Support Tool For Store 5.0" in the Nokia Care Suite) and then try to download & flash the firmware matching that product code first.
Only if that doesn't work I would try flashing the Rogers firmware (only if your device is a RM-820 though because flashing an RM-821 with the Rogers firmware would probably brick it too)
Thanks guys, I definitely have a Dev phone... So it is 820 or 821? I'll run Nokia Care Suite and see what it comes up with.
Update:
I can't find the original RM-820_nam_canada_246 anywhere.
I tried to flash to RM-821_ROW_DeveloperDevice_VAR251040_Black_V2_Black but that won't work because the device is RM-820.
Then I tried an RM-820_Rogers_Canada flash and it worked to get the phone started but still no T-Mobile 3G.
Damn, lol.
Just wondering if there are any guides out there that I can use to flash my new Vodafone UK branded Lumia 920 to either Telstra or unbranded?
I am with Telstra and the phone correctly supports the 3G and LTE network, but I just want to change it from Vodafone branding
.
Is it the same process as flashing a Lumia 800? Using Nokia CareSuite and if so can someone please post the links to all the software needed?
I would greatly appreciate any feedback. Thanks in advance.

Are you sure you have a Lumia 920? The reason I ask is because a Vodafone UK variant of the 920 doesn't actually exist. The only networks that are selling the 920 in the UK are EE, Orange and T-Mobile.
I'll vouch for it being a 920. I saw the Vodafone Lumia 920 red models on Mobicity a few days ago. I imagine that's what this person got.

Mobicity only sell unlocked and unbranded phones. They don't sell network branded phones or act as a middleman selling contracts for the networks. They 920 they are selling is a SIM free unbranded one for £599.95. As it is at the moment the only networks allowed to sell the 920 in the UK are EE, T-Mobile and Orange.
Because I'm a layman, I believe a little backstory for all of the other laymen helps to understand the issue.
I bought a new Lumia 920 unlocked with the RM-821 firmware from Best Buy. So I when it arrived, I threw my AT&T Lumia 900's SIM into the 920, called up AT&T to make the swap and it was working. The problem I have since discovered is the RM-821 variant does not use the same bands as an AT&T-branded 920 running RM-820 firmware, which means I cannot get LTE on my new unlocked, unbranded 920. Neither do i travel the world nor live outside of North America, so it's stupid for me to be running a ROM that cannot access my carriers LTE bands.
I've read through several threads on here and elsewhere researching the topic. Other than failed attempts to revert back to RM-820 from an RM-820 AT&T device after converting to RM-821, I have not found any definitive answers .
Is it possible to go from a factory flashed RM-821 Lumia 920 to RM-820 AT&T firmware? Thanks to everyone ahead of time for your responses.

The only ATT (i.e. RM-820) I've been able to load back onto my phone after loading a rogers ROM is the ATT Dev Rom.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2425722
that's a little more involved than what I did, but I can confirm I have the ATT Dev ROM, and was not able to load standard 820 roms
Any other thoughts?
I'd like to know if anyone has experience going to 821 to 820 on an unbranded phone.
Ok, this might seem obvious to some, but I am somewhat confused right now.
I bought my S6 Edge in Germany, T-Mobile.
Since I am currently staying in the US, I got an AT&T sim card.
With the (apparant) Marshmallow-rollout, which variant do I need?
Do the carrier variants simply bring some specific bloatware with them, or are they essentially different in their functionality?
I think I want to get the German T-Mobile variant (unless there is an unbranded one available, obviously), but could that interfere with the AT&T network in the US, as in lack of functionality in some respect?
Thanks in advance and sorry if this seems like a weird question.
There are internation versions you can buy from samsung's website. They are getting the update now and they work on all networks.

Also bloatware free unless you consider gapps and samsung apps bloatware

Hey, thanks for the reply.
I think you misunderstood me though.
I do own the (Germany bought, T-Mobile) S6.
For my stay in the US, I only got an AT&T Sim-Card which I put into my phone.
It does work flawlessly, so I guess the phone itself is unbranded anyway.
I am just wondering if I should get the update for AT&T-variants while I am here, or rather go with the T-Mobile one.
Also, I have no idea if the carrier-variants differ worldwide, e.g. German T-Mobile offering different FW than US T-Mobile.
G'mornin,
Your phones always updated from the repository the current firmware is.
My S6 edge is with Vodafone firmware is unlocked and I use in T-Mobile network.
The Updates I got, were all from Vodafone.
---> You will get the T-Mobile update, if your phone uses the T-Mobile firmware. If you use DBT firmware, your phone will get the DBT update.
I'm in a similar situation. My phone is from Three UK, I'm currently in the US and I'm using an AT&T sim in my phone. I received an update (from Three), downloaded & installed without any issues when I received a security update in January. No matter what sim you are using, the phone will update from it's origin (unless you flashed, in which case it should update from that origin). Hope this helps.
