HTC car gps? - HTC Droid DNA

What is this app? When I look in my battery stats app it is causing an odd amount of battery drain but I leave my gps off whenever I'm not using it...

Define hot, with a temperature reading. People who live in Alaska think 70F is hot. Download a battery monitor app and take a look at the battery temp while it's charging. If it's under 45-50c, that's normal. (Albeit at the high end of normal operating temperatures)
The phone has very little in the way of insulation between your hand and the battery (Source of most of the heat). It could be running at the same temp as your old phone, but "Feel" hotter because of the thin back.

Battery and Speed

Day three on the Rom and speed is no longer an issue. However, I am still having issues with the battery draining quicker than stock. Any recommendations, especially from the folks who are getting 15 hours.

Change the performance settings to battery and see if that helps.

I'm sorry, as this rom is new to me, how do I make this change? Will the phone still be peppy? It took a few days for the phone to settle in, and I would hate to lose the performance.

Well I've never tried it so can't say. However do you have a rouge app maybe? Do you have a lot of Widgets on your home screens? Did you turn off background data, gps, etc?? All these play a major roll in battery life. Did you do a fresh install?

Fresh install. Wiped even everything three times. Only widgets are the clock and Google Music. Of course the phone lists the screen as 70% of the usage.

I'm going on 24 hours with 55 percent remaining.
Some days battery kicks ass, others it drains rather quickly. I'm gonna blame it on network changes.

i would be happy with that battery life. mine is half that and ive tried just about all the roms. Just flashed the newest meanRom to see how that one is.

Battery at 111%

Does anyone else get their battery over 100 % ?
I believe its only a JB thing.
I've seen it on ics as well. Don't know what causes it. Been a while.

It's really odd. Isn't it a problem with calibration? Do you use the original battery?

Happened to me with or without calibration.
With and without calibration, and on the stock battery.

Known issue. Does not appear to impact functionality.
Which ROM are you on?
I'm on cna, and the OP looks like they're on cm10. It drops immediately to 99 when I unplug. Doesn't cause problems or anything.

Suddenly my phone takes up to 20 hours to complete charge. What's the problem? Charger or battery?

Custom rom?
First thing to try is to wipe battery stats when it's fully charged.
If that didn't fix it, ask around and switch chargers with someone.
A new battery is the last option being that it's the most expensive solution and the hardest to test.

Kudos to the Pimp My Rom app

I have a rooted N2 with a stock rom. After installing the pimp my rom app- alpha version from Google Play... I am getting tremendous battery life. 3 days without a charge (moderate to light use).
Sent from my SCH-I605 using xda app-developers app
Pretty sure that is just the phone and large battery . I get two days in one charge and moderate to heavy use without that app. Mind adding some more detail as to what you are doing with that app or what songs you use ?
Sent from my SCH-I605 using Tapatalk 2
I get roughly 4 days of standby and 4 hours screen time between charges.

Exactly. I barely touched my phone today. 38mins of screen time. And that 38mins was CSR on lunch. With the battery on the N2, you dont need any fancy battery saving apps.

Was also at 32%. If I hadn't of charged that little bit, it would have been at around 5-10%.
My intent was to speed up Stock. What I got was both speed and increased battery life. I/O tweaks, Kernel, sysctl, process priorities and much more.
Sent from my SCH-I605 using xda app-developers app
I've gotten 5-6 hours of screen time already on my phone, and I could probably go almost 3 days between charges during the week if I really wanted to.
How is it?

Last time I ran pimp my rom, most of its tweaks were placebo and did absolutely nothing.

A bunch of build.prop edits and init.d scripts, 90% of which are placebos, the other 10% of which are probably already in any ROM or kernel you're running.
