I finally got NFC up and running on JB roms. OBVIOUSLY this mod is only for peoples devices who support NFC. If it doesn't support it normally, DO NOT EXPECT it to support it now. Bluetooth issue fixed in V3.
UPDATE: if you don't want NFC or are having issues with previous patches, there is a NFC remover script at the bottom of this post. Also during first install, after first startup, REBOOT! Then toggle away

Devices Confirmed Working On:
-I777
-M250k/M250s
-I9100p (after mounting system )
-i9210
-i9250
-T989
....IDK you tell me!
Devices this should work on:
i9100 = NO
i9100P = YES (it's an i9100 exactly, but with NFC. ROMs for i9100 will work, but need to be modified to show NFC settings, otherwise no NFC options will show)
i9100G = NO, it's completely different from the i9100 hardware (TI-OMAP instead of Exynos). ROMs from i9100/P don't work.
T989 (T-Mobile GS2) = YES, but it's completely different from the i9100 hardware (Snapdragon S3 instead of Exynos). ROMs from i9100/P don't work.
i777 (AT&T GS2) = YES, AOSP based roms have it but i9100 hellraised roms are missing it(due to NFC not being a feature of the i9100)
D710 (Sprint GS2) = NO
This list was provided by Product F(RED)
Changelog
1/23 - Added NFC Polling mode.... hopefully! Some other small changes. We'll see how things go. Ignore the updater-script, it still says V5. Got a little lazy at school
1/8 - Small changes I put together at work. Just reused v5 name because I'm lazy
12/20 -Finally have some support in V5 for all you 4.2 users!
12/7 - Finally got time to make this damn thing...
*Added set permissions for android.hardware.nfc.xml... forgot to do this months ago... oops , so this may help with some people having issues.
*Added NFC cleaning script as part of JB Enabler v4
*Added standalone NFC cleaner for those who want it
Do me a big favor... Before you Click "No" in the poll or post this doesn't work with your phone, toaster, dog, umbrella, etc. , Check to make sure the battery says "Near Field Communications" on it. Thank you
NFC did show up in the settings. Thanks!

I downloaded your file and compared it to the same files and I already had them all. I know I have read that IF you come from CM9 then it all already works. I didn't test it at first (NFC) when I first flashed CM10 from a fresh install. I did notice that the flashlight in the pulldown menu didn't work. So I restored an older CM9 nandroid backup then reinstalled CM10 on top of my it. Then the flashlight worked. And also NFC worked perfectly as well. Did you grab all the files from CM9?
I mention this since I wasn't aware until your post in the cm10 thread that the files didn't come with it already installed. Great job.

I actually pulled the files from an early build of Cm10 for our phone, set my own permissions, etc. The reason this sits in the ported development section is because none of hellraised Roms have nfc(for the most part). I used the latest versions of Cm10 from i9100 so they have no nfc either so I did this to benefit myself Haha. It just so happen everyone else wanted it.

just wondering if anyone's gone back to ICS? I mean its not like we really need any 'performance boost'.. and with jb, we give up smoothness, and flash.. what do you guys think? that last ics release on omega is stable as **** lol. sometimes I wonder why I always mess with my phone when its working perfectly fine heh. I think the only thing jb brings is a expanded notification bar, and that Google Now thing, which looks cool and I feel all techie using it, but really does nothing for me but getting me all excited thinking i have friends thinking I have a notification ..

multiwindow whaaaa? tell me more
It's pretty cool, on the latest version of jellybean for the s3 you have multi window functionality. Basically I can have 2or more apps open simultaneously for instance browser, gallery and messages.

Omega v33. multiwindow, but custom themes and mods from previous versions wont work (atleast based on the Q&A that indie posted)
EDIT: I'm still on v13.1 since i've been too busy to upgrade to jb to deal with changes at the moment (that and I want to make sure I get my "red" theme)

I'm just about to go back to ICS after weeks of battling with battery life on JB ROMs. I used to have 90% battery left after a day in the office on CheckROM v3.5. Now I'm lucky if I have 70% (with the same apps installed, the same sync/location settings and Google Now disabled). I've tried CheckROM v6, various Wanam Lite releases, AnonoROM, Omega and none can come close to matching the battery life I had with ICS.
Back to CheckROM v3.5 I think....

Like I said it's 70% if I'm lucky, and have used the phone very little during the day. A few calls and I can easily finish with less than 40% to last an entire evening.

alternatively you can try widget locker as well. I used to use that coupled with roynam's lockscreen notification widget.
if you're rooted and dont mind flashing new roms, you can try AOKP, CM10.1 or Liquidsmooth. all are using 4.2.2 and are relatively stable with few bugs(camera flash, etc etc). I personally use the liquidsmooth rom as a daily driver with few issues
The bug with camera flash on CM10.1 is resolved with latest nightly (23rd March). :good:
