It was simply unusable. The only solution was restarting. Even after a factory reset wasn't helpfull. Now I have a new device. Until now all is ok. Fingers crossed!

That's if it's truly a hard brick and not a soft brick. Sometimes they can be misconstrued or you can just unlock it and it should fix everything.

Hey guys. I was trying to unlock my Galaxy Note and in the process I put a ICS kernel on the Gingerbread Stock rom. The phone will do nothing. I made and tried using a USB Jib. Nothing happened. The jig works because I tried it on another phone. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Thank you for replying.. No I can't even get into download mode. I've tried several times.. And I'm 100% its not the jig . I used the 4th and 5th connectors and it works on my Galaxy S2 but not the Note.
You will need to send it off to someone with a JTAG device. It costs less than $50 and takes about ten days.
Wrong kernel == hard brick
you must have flashed an n700 note rom ..yup its a hard brick. need to send it to mobiletechvideos for the jtag. and dont flash anymore international note stuff

Again, brick = JTAG. Jig is used if your phone has signs of life like battery indicator when charging or in a bootloop and you can't get to download mode or recovery.
I flashed the LQ6 Modem through CWM. It flashed successfully and I rebooted but the phone got stuck at the Siyah load screen. So I hard rebooted. Screen went black and now absolutely nothing works. Screen stays black no matter what. Computer doesn't pick it up at all. USB jig does nothing. :/
So unless there's someway I can revive it from here I guess JTAG is my only option.
My friend might be able to get me access to a JTAG box. How exactly do I go about unbricking?
Btw, does anyone know of someone in the San Diego area that does JTAG service? Thanks.

How come nobody is shocked that these things are happening every day? How is it even possible that the phone is bricked if he is using safe kernel such as Siyah 4.x? Is there any expert that knows what the hell is happening?

There was only 1 siyah release that did it and the developer pulled it just after an hour, and siyah has been safe since then. Due to that incident, most custom kernels are safe now since the developers are aware. Only Samsung stock is unsafe.

Something else must have gone wrong because his case doesn't look like a typical emmc brick bug issue.

I have Anker batteries with the external charger so I know the battery is charged.
Yup, I was running Siyah 4.1.2 and a CM10 nightly. Worked fine until I flashed LQ6 and rebooted. I don't think it's emmc - at this point I'm chalking it up to a bad zip.

I was thinking the same thing too.
So does anyone know if I can use the RIFF software with a different JTAG box (not the RIFF box)?
Or anyone know of a reliable JTAG service in the San Diego area?
Sent my S2 in for JTAG service. Hopefully it comes back good as new!
Btw, I used cell-dr.com. Can't beat their price!

I also bricked my sgs2 i9100. Tried everything, nothing worked. Finally came across MobileTechVideos.com for JTAG Service and send my phone to them. They really did a great job . I am able to see my phone working again and surprisingly all my data were there. I think you should definitely give it a try if your phone is completely unresponsive. :good::good::good: to MobileTechVideos.com

You flashed the incorrect version. Several other people have made the same mistake with the same ROM. So you're not alone. Your only option is JTAG service at mobiletechvideos.com for about $50.

I have 2 questions about this:
1. is the USB jig the same for Samsung Galaxy S because I have one for that phone and it works for that one
2. What do I do when the phone shows up in download mode, what then?
Thanks for all your replys
USB jig is unusable on the galaxy note....
And if the phone arrives from a JTAG repair in download mode, then you are forced to push a stock rom to the device via Odin once you receive it.
I would be very surprised if the device comes back that way. All of the JTAG service users I'm aware of, received their devices back with a factory GB image....g
