trying to update/flash a Galaxy S3 I9300 but i have got an error.
im using odin, the flash works 100% but when the phone boots into system recovery
im getting this error
E:failed to verify whole-file signature
E:signature verification failed
Installation Aborted
when i turn phone on it just keeps rebooting..
ive tried flashing 3 different roms, all hard reseting each time and its still the same.
Has anyone got a solution to this sick phone?
What exactly are you trying to flash .
Most usual problem is not following instructions .
Odin should not boot to system recovery.

Your issue is you lost your custom recovery. That is from stock recovery which will only flash Samsung signed roms.

First of all thank you for your reply.
Is there a way to change the stock recovery.
Hello,
I am trying to install a rom on my phone but it's not really working out the way I hoped. I got blockworkmod running on my S3 and I tried to install the carbonROM file for my device. This returned the following message after about 20 seconds of installing:
set_metadata_recursive: some changed failed
E: Error in /external_sd/CARBON-KK-NIGHTLY-20141106-1232-i9305.zip
(status 7)
Instalation aborted.
When I tried to install cyanogenmod to the device it didn't do anything, it just imediately returned to the homescreen on clockworkmod.
What can be the problem here and what should I do to be able to use the phone again with any good ROM?
NOTE: I am very new to this stuff, with installing ROMs and rooting my phone.

*coughs*
