Recently I tried using the stock Backup & Restore app on my Xperia P and created a backup. But now I want to delete it because it takes a lot of space (350mb++). How do I delete backups? I can't find it in internal storage.

you will first have to change settings in file explorer to show hidden folders and then you will find the folder mentioned by drsanket_xperia_u from there you can delete the backup created.........

Both GingerXperia v11 and FD Xperience 2.0 have stock x8 keyboard, and it's better than any other keyboard sollution. I tried to backup it using Titanium backup and use with other ROMS for exapmle GingerDX but it didn't work. Has anyone managed to install this keyborad, or have .apk?? Thanks. I tried X8 Chinese keyboard but there is a lot of difference beetwen those two.
Download this file and using xrecovery or CWM flash it. Have fun!!!!

I was asking myself the same...anyway, i'm on GDX18+LDX4 so I have CWM only built in kernel...and it doesn't support Amend scripts. I converted it to Edify: keyboard works, yes, but no dictionary or prediction :-( Any Idea!??!
This is were is was looking for but no dictionary indeed. I found here a topic with this keyboard with dictionary but it's for an X10 and I can't make it work on my X8

This means you installed it but doesn't work? I even can't install 'cause it's amend script and CWM doesn't want to install...even after converting it :-(
I'm trying to simply copy dictionaries from that zip to /system/usr ...let's hope !
So?install it with xrecovery

GDX on LinuxDX kernel...CWM is built-in in linuxDX. Don't know if it's possible to use x-rec
Copying dictionaries from the x10 swipe keyboard didn't the job :-(
Progress !!!
I managed to extract the contents of a backup I did months ago immediatly after restoring my x8...it's a super-clean factory rom. The guide I used is this:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=890508
Then I copied /usr/keyboard-config & /usr/xt9 folders to my SD and from there to internal memory with root explorer.
t9 & dictionaries are ok.
Only text prediction isn't working.
The 2 folders are in the attached .zip file !
I'm a total noob...so if someone can merge this two folders inside the original keyboard's zip script...
I make it to work at me:x

Ok, txt prediction also works...I only has to learn a little what you write generally after a word ;-)
So, I think we did it !
At me it doesn't need to learn, only the new words ,but it's working like in stock rom:x

So is this the way or am I over my head of what you are saying?
I really liked the stock keyboard more than the android keyboard currently in GDX19

I also rebuilt a .zip file including those directories in it, for use with CWM recovery directly, so no need to copy manually any folder. I updated this morning to GDX19 and than I tested the .zip on my phone & seems to work. Now going home from work, later or tomorrow I will upload them.
How you make the update zip?

Adding the two directories inside the usr dir of the original zip file simply did the job. The script copies them recursively. Really easy. I converted it to Edify for CWM 'cause I've that built into kernel!
Winrar does the job to add those dirs.
If you need Amend to Edify conversion, follow the guide I linked some post ago

Yes it will make backup of current state. If you made backup prior to installing mod, restore that.

I have mod vold.fstab i want some people test it
I thinks it work in CM like Stock JB
I hope CM10 have more storage like JB from SAMSUNG (some gamer prefer this because some game data up to 1GB or more)
Tutorials:
0.Backup first before test
1.Rename file mod into vold.fstab:laugh:
2.Copy to Sdcard and put it to system/etc or /etc:victory:
3. Replace old file and set permission rw-r--r--:silly:
4.Reboot, Enjoy
Vold.fstab old
Vold.fstab edited
p/s: I want try mod i (may be not work) i thinks file mod from stock JB cannot work. I thinks file mod can work with CM10 official. If have people posted it please mod delete my topic:victory:. Thanks for tested
If after test your phone cannot boot you flash this file via Recovery
RESET
EDIT: I listen some people said file mod work fine you can download and install it
EDIT 2: I have a people vote it not work if not work please comment my topic say why not work help me can edit the file in order to files work fine on our phone
EDIT 3: I retry modified vold.fstab like source from SakuraDroid soucre And i want people test it, i want external storage into USB storage. I can see vold.fstab from CM like JB from SAMSUNG :cyclops:

For me it works.... kind of.
I see my micro sd as internal and I can see internal as sd card in total commander but there is no cats in storage info.I use it from beginning and just now I see it's not quite good
Edit: strange, I don't see internal (sd after switching) now, but I didn't do anything that could change it (ok, I screw up installing firmware but restoring backup did the job)

Yes. Use some others custom-settings.xml (search it) and place it in the direction where that thread is mentioned. Search it and follow it. Even it's not for Xperia U, it works like charm.

I couldn't find anything.. Can you post a link to any tutorial, please?
http://www.mediafire.com/?n5t7eq990afb0va
Download it and place it on your storage.
Go to "/system/etc/customization/settings/com/android" with "Root Explorer"
Create folder named "phone"
Place the downloaded xml without renaming anything. (Just be custom-settings.xml)
Change permissions to rw-r--r--
Reboot and you're done.
