I have recently found the way to have root on the secondary user in my N7, which means that now I can use TiBu with only one problem... when I restore the Data of an App, I think TiBu it's not sending it to data/user/10 (the data folder of the second user)...
Is there a way I can change it?

Im trying to transfer apps from nt 1.40 (rooted) and am unable to restore on cm7sd. Selecting the directory where the nt backup was copied results in the apps listed (with a strikethrough), but the button to restore will not show. Is there a specific way that they need to be saved under nt, or some other trick?
Nobody has tried restoring from a rooted nook on cm7sd?
I just tried a restore from Titanium Backup and it worked fine. I restored Astro, which I had previously deleted. For some dumb reason it even works now.

Did you save with system data, or just the app?

I obtained my new Galaxy S III yesterday, yet I cannot recover application data, nor the actual themselves via Titanium Backup.
I am transferring from the T-Mobile G2(HTC Vision). The titanium backup data is from there.
I rooted the Galaxy S III, installed the "Omega v.28" ROM, and installed Titanium Backup from the Google Play Store. However, Titanium Backup can no longer detect the data from my former phone. My query is that must I begin anew, or is there a method by which I may recover the application data.

I am not sure in how far titanium can restore data from different phones whereas did you set your backup folder to the correct folder? otherwise the apps do not show up in the restore menu. In addition take into account that restoring system app data is not advised.
I never modified the folder location. I simply removed the SD card from one phone and attached it to the other. Aside from which, I do not require former system application, and I am aware of the hazards of ignorant restoration.
Go to preferences and find the backup location just in case the location is wrong.
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda app-developers app
The data layout is different in a different phone .

I think it's just a matter of backup location change, denomination of sdcard changes among Rom.
Concerning the application data the backup format is the same in every room as it's done by titanium. As long as he doesn't want to restore system data there is no problem, I've already transferred apps + data without problem from my phone to my tablet, and from my LG p990 to the sgs3.
Go to TB settings, and show choose the existing backup location...
I just flashed a new ROM on my phone but when I tried to restore my apps with Titanium, only 1 app is showing. A few days ago I had also made a copy of the Titanium Backup folder in my computer but I don't know how to (if) I can restore my apps with only the folder.
Any help?
Did you get some kind of error message? Did you reboot? Maybe the apps are there but just not showing up in your app drawer?
To use the backup on your computer just copy the data back on to your phone then restore them. Since the backup on your phone is bad I would delete everything in the backup folder then copy the data from the backup folder on your computer into the same directory so you don't need to change the backup folder settings in TiBU.
Hi. I did try that. I tried using both folders from my phone, but even though they're both the same size (about 1GB), only one app was restore. And even the data for that app wasn't. I tried using Restore>Restore apps+data. So I wanted to know if there was another way.

Instead of doing a batch restore try to manually restore an individual app and see if that works.
Check your titanium backup location. It probably changed after the rom install.
Hi All,
Quick question - on my current HOX I've saved all my apps plus user settings. I copied the Titanium Backup folder contents to my PC. Can I simply copy from my PC to my new HOX+ and then run Titanium restore? I assume I can't copy over user system settings but would like to keep all my app settings.
One more question - do I need to run AT&T setup to enable my phone?
Thanks!
when i moved my TB from the one v to the X+ it worked fine

That's exactly what I did (HOX->PC->HOX+ Titanium Restore). However, I didn't restore the data. The major item that has user data is email, and I've never found that restores properly. So I just re-synched everything. I guess if you have game saves, then just restore the games with user data. I would be careful with any system type apps, in restoring the data, since you are also over-writing or duplicating the system app itself.
Your phone should run fine without running the AT&T setup (what exactly is that anyway? I don't seem to remember having that pop up on my phone...). And yes, as others have said, you should be pretty safe restoring apps and data except for system apps. If you really want to, I suppose you can try restoring just the data for system apps, and if you start to have problems you can Clear Data for the problematic apps.
Hello gang,
I'm new to the S4, I used to have and Incredible 2 and I have some questions about using TiBu to backup system apps and data. It seemed like on the S4 there are way more system apps and data than on the Inc 2. According to Tibu there are currently 287 entries (on my phone) that can be backed up by running Backup all system data. Some are apps like Gmail and Amazon and most are other Samsung/Android entries. So my question is, how do you handle backing up system data? Do you use labels, do you just back up everything, something else? Also, do the Redo backups for modified data and Redo backups for newer app versions apply to system apps and data too (I know this is strickly a TiBu question).
Thanks. :good:
