I'm having problems viewing streaming media in Dropbox and via Plex Media server. The picture seems distorted. See attached picture.
Watching local videos goes well... Using stock player or mxplayer...
I'm running stock cm10.1 nightly 25 januari.
Any ideas?

Is there any app to keep streaming the video when minimized it cause the YouTube app stops buffering as soon as the screen is off. I tried nextvid but it doesn't load player even though flash is installed.

I got my S3 today.
I have a strange problem.
When I stream any video with stock video player, mx player or from browser (HTML5), I get only sound. See no video.
Only Vplayer displays video, but this does not solve my problem cause I watch online movies from HTML5.
I didn't have this problem with my previous HTC One X. So I'm sure the sites I watch movies from are compatible with Android.
Anyone had this problem? Any solutions?
BTW, if I stream with stock video player it displays a message saying "Playind audio data only"
Any help will be appreciated
My device is not unlocked, I'm on stock ROM.

BS PLAYER works great.
Mx player, and vlc. It depends on how they were encoded though.

I third that. Mx all the way!
I cant get 1080p mkvs to play smoothly and ive tried everything. These are blu ray rips using makemkv.com software. its slight stuttering around characters facial ffeatures in fast scenes. I gave up and reencode now. Dissapointed because my s3 played back the same files flawlessly.
I use dice player and haven't had any issues.
I uploaded directly to YouTube from my S5, and it looks awful. In gallery, it looks great. I recorded it in 1080P. I made sure HD was on in YouTube, and I searched the settings high and low for a quality setting, but nothing. What gives??

How horrible? It won't look as good as on your phone because YouTube compresses everything and is limited to 30 fps

There's definitely a big difference. I played it back on my phone and TV and it's not nearly as good as the original quality

I uploaded a video on Facebook that looked like crap.

Idk about other places but I do believe you have to wait for HD when uploading to youtube. Since they process every video so it can play in 240p all the way up to whatever resolution you upload at.
