You have 9100 or 9100G??
If you want to update you i9100 then you can use Odin and flash a Firmware from SamMobile.They have all ICS Firmwares available.For the apps that dont work in your region and give you annoying messages then download "Titanium Backup" from the Play Store and freeze the app or uninstall it so it wont work and you dont get the message.
Hi I have a Samsung Galaxy SII GT I9100 2.3.5 it I9100XXXK13, and Kernel 2.6.35 7-I9100XXK13-VL577579 [email protected]#2 and has gingerbread.XXK13. It is unrooted. They send it to me from Luxembourg and I live in Greece. Greek samsung and Greek Kies Is updating Jelly bean.4.1.2 but when I connect the mobile it syncronizes it takes a back up but says it there is no firmware update. No techcnisian takes the responsibility because is from another country. I want a sure solution beacause I am psychologist and I have a lot of apps for psychology and psychiatry and some of them paid and for sure I dont want my mobile to lock ,
If you know a sure way to update to Jelly bean 4.1.2 I would appreciated a lot ! And please I really need instruction not just words odin, OTA , because its from another planet for me !
thank you very much
I bought a galaxy s3 neo + (model GT I9300I) in China, which came with a chinese version of android without any of the google services (as google is censored over there).
I'm now living in the UK and would like to flash my phone using an official samsung android 4.4.2 ROM (found on the live samsung updates websiet) so I can get access to the google services. The problem is that in that list there are only countries like Russia, China, India... Can I just use one of them and set the language to english? Should I use another ROM?
Thanks!
I have a Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5 (SM-T800). I currently have CyanogenMod 12 installed, but i want to go back to my stock firmware.
when i search my device on the SamMobile firmware site, it gives a bunch of firmwares for different countries, but it does not give one for the United States, where i am living
Does it matter which firmware i use? Will i still receive OTA updates if i choose a random firmware?

Does it matter which firmware i use? - it does, don't flash wrong firmware, or you will soft-brick your tablet
if you still have orginal box or receipt, it should says something like this;
PDA: T800XXU1ANH1
CSC: T800UVS1ANG2
MODEM: T800XXU1ANH1
Notice the H1, G2, H1 at ends....which defines which country code region tablet belongs to..
Just give you an idea, for example my Galaxy TabPro 8.4 WiFI has "T320UEU1ANG1", which I bought it here in USA (bestbuy), and if I check sammobile, it shows as Cellular south, so means that's my offical firmware for my tablet that come with it.
So in your case, I believe yours is T800XXU1ANK1
