I had a working xperia mini pro running cm9, But after awhile I noticed the buttons' and screen's backlights are blinking. I also tried to slide the keyboard and the whole thing turns into a blinking frenzy. I went on xda to find help and came across this thread and decided to try it out. When I flashed the zip from cwm not only the backlight issue wasn't fixed, but my screen went totally blank. Sometimes the top-left LED will flash a purple color and the back/menu button will lit up but not the screen.
I tried flashing a stock rom hoping it would bring back my screen but it didn't work. Now I'm stuck with a black screened unrooted stock gingerbread.
I have my bootloader unlocked, tried custom kernel, stock kernel from other models, anything I could with flashtool and nothing's working. Can't root my phone using this pseudo-kernel method and nobody in xda had the same problem as mine.
If anyone could at least tell me what I did wrong or even help me work around it, I'd really appreciate it. Thanks guys.

It seems to be a hardware problem. Anyway, try to flash a compatible kernel via fastboot and then flash a rooted stock ROM via CWM. I'm not sure where to find the pre-rooted stock ROM cause I have a st15i (Mini) but there are similar devices so it's almost certain that there is one for Mini Pro too. If it doesn't work, take it to service.

Please tell me the Android version of your Xperia Mini (GB - ICS - JB - CM9 - CM10 - CM10.1) so I can give you the right links. I'll be near my PC for about 3 hours. Then, I will be on vacations for the next 3 days.

Hello
I installed MIUI and by mistake activated touch calibration and that messet up my touch totally, its all unresponsive now, fastboot new kernel and a clean install does not help at all.
What can be done ? cant unlock phone, (possible via ADB?) and my thought is to start some calibration-software via adb + am.
Any suggestions? Experia Active. all unresponsive touch screen, not even the back / home / menu buttons work..
Please help!
First of all this isnt a Q&A section.
Second of all, reinstall MIUI, after you have cleared data.
First - Sorry, I realized the q&a afterwards.
second - does not work, reinstalled cm7 cm9 and stock and touch is still unresponsive.
edit: to be extra clear, The phone starts all fine, but I cannot unlock PIN nor unlock lockscreen because the touch is not responding.
Every Rom has a specific Kerbel that needs to be installed for it to work properly. If I were you, if flashing and wiping didnt work, id restore a stock ftf using flashtool.

Try to flash with the recommended kernel from the rom you choose. Maybe it's a problem from your hardware. I face that kind of situation when using Xperia Mini.

Get back to stock firmware via full .ftf file.
Man i just noticed you installed the miui for live with walkman only from lasan that is a big no no.
If you want miui install the one from expeacer here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1578109 it should work well.
And remember to read the first post and to make sure the rom is compatible with your device.
I managed to fix the problem, I tried the tft stock, but didnt work either, but then I tried tft again the usb-cable got unplugged and boot img got corrupted, after tft again it worked!
Yes, I feel a bit noob installing the wrong rom...
Thanks for the help! keep up the good work!!

But the roms that I find are for the st18i mine is the st18a, so that means i will get "put simcard and reboot cellphon" message? Because the cellphone will be sim locked?

That won't happen, there's no big difference bewteen st18i and st18a, my Ray was "a" and I flashed an "i" ROM, with no problems.
I'd use Flashtool and a .ftf file. Look for them, search button is your friend
Hi,
I checked the forum and try those and it didnt work.
This is the story. i try to install a custom rom to my friend's xperia x10 mini. I unlocked the bootloader. Rooted and installed a kernel Jelly Bean Mini projects kernel. Also install the apk for CWM. After i flash the JB Mini Kernel i stuck at the JB Mini logo. Entering the CWM does not worked. Then i paniced and flashed the custom kernel. Then this time it is not opened only stuck at the SE logo. After that E10i_2.1.1.A.0.6_Sony Ericsson.ftf firmware and flashed via flash tool. This time is stuck in the boot logo loop. It didnt give a chance to flash another kernel again. Opening and resetting again. ALso PC Companion Repair doesnt work because it get disconnect on doing it.
Also i tried home screen and power button to reset and then try to flash mode and it didnt allow me to do it. Do you guys any suggestion. How can i get rid of it and get back to normal.
All helps will be appreciated. Thanks.

Make sure you're talking about the right model phone, the Xperia Mini and Xperia x10 Mini are different phones. If you have the x10 Mini, then fastboot won't work at all.
Yes, CWM is available by repeatedly pressing the back-button when the kernel-logo shows, and it is included in ALL custom kernels for the x10 mini, just not on stock, so if you flash a custom kernel it is already available without any further action on your part.

Hi,
U really.have my attention there. My friend have xperia x10 mini. I tried to install a custom rom on her device. But I messed things up. Unlocked the bootloader and installed jb mini.kernel and stucked on boot.logo. Then I flash custom kernel again now its stuck.on.boot logo like a loop. Seus repair wont work because it disconnects simultaneously. Also flashing a kernel didint work either. I hope somebody helps me to recovery the device. After that somehow I can install custom rom.
Thanks. I really appreciated.

Yes, the JB kernel requires you to format the /system, /data and /cache partitions in CWM on first boot, otherwise you get stuck, and you'll be unable to install the JB ROM. (Mind you, if it's version 4 of Stelios97's JB Kernel, that's been reported as not working at all)
(Not sure if you're doing your friend a favour with JB just yet, not if she wants to use her phone like she does now, you might be better off with MiniCM7)
Make sure your batter has a decent amount of charge in it, and try to flash this with flashtool, it's stock firmware that should get the phone back working properly.
After that, you can try again with the custom kernel and ROM.

Hi everyone
a few days ago i have unlocked the bootloader on my xperia p following the official sony instructions.
After that i downloaded and flashed the sliding xp v5 kernel
Everything worked perfect and i wanted to install a custom rom, and i thought that the vision rom would be perfect.
I installed the vision rom v2 in cwm recovery and everything seemed perfect, i like the rom and everything is good but i have a few problems :-/
First i had the problem that sometimes when the screen locks and turns off, when i press the unlock button the screen wont turn on,i can hear that the phone works when i try to take a ss i hear the soind, but the screen wont turn on until i hard restart the phone :-/
The second problem is that the phone just restarts itself randomly sometimes :-/
And the last thin is that when i go in the dialer to call someone it happebs alot of times that the phone lags a lot there and it happens often that when someobe is calling me or when i call someone that it lags and the phone freezes :-/
Can someone tell me why is this happening, because of the kernel or the rom?
and what should i do to fix it,if possible i would like to keep all the settings which i made because i allready personalized it much....
Thanks to everyone in advance

First that came in my mind is that this kernel and the rom are not for eachother - so try to flash munjeni's kernel and the rom again and try it.
Before that flash stock rom via flash tool to make clean install.

First of all the flash stock rom you need to put the ftf file in Flashtool/firmwares
Then connect the device in flashmode and flash rom (device switched off and to enter flashmode just do vol- and put usb in).
When flashing official stock rom as much as i know you will lose data, and its better to have clean install.
If you flash munjeni's kernel and the rom you want, and if you restore the back up that will flash the old boot.image too, i mean the old kernel and that is not wanted.

Hello i just want to say that i fixed my phone after 4 day of trouble. I used this metod:
Fix 4: By Flashing Hybrom_v10: (Credits: javad01; here)
1. Flash your device's stock gingerbread rom (4.0.2.A.0.62) with flashtool
2. Flash a custom kernel with cwm you like (e.g. rage kernel)
3. Flash Hybrom v10 for mini pro
4. Boot the rom
5. If it's not booting and having a bootloop pull battery
6. Flash stock rom again with flashtool
When i first tried it it didn't work, but i kept trying and it finally worked!
