I have a MT6577 Android ICS device. I want to update it to Jelly Bean. How would I do that.

Most probably you will end up needing to build from sources. Go to Chef Central section of XDA, and you'll get tons of Tutorials for doing the same.

First: you need to find a firmware compatible with your device, if it exists...
Second: your device should have a mode which you can flash the firmware with some compatible program.

i have Ampe Table A78 with 4.0.4 android software, and i want to use this with Jelly bean 4.2 or 4.3.

So probbably this had been asked before a lot of times but i couldn't find something to help me- I am relatively new to Android and I have a Boxchip A13 1.2GHz Cortex-A8 Processor Chineese tablet- Jetway ALfar 781-8g. So it came with ICS 4.0 and I want to install Jelly Bean on it somehow. So is there any way I can achieve this? I don't mind rooting it or stuff like this I just want to know if I can run Jelly Bean on it. So I will really appreciate if someone give me a good answer to this and tnx in advice
hey guys i was just trying to port my first rom, from MTK6577 device GooPhone i5 which is a iphone rom... but unfortunately i realised that it is a 4.1.2. so i do know that we cannot port 4.2.1 to 4.1.2 but can we do it the other way?

If you are porting 4.1.2 ROM then take 4.1.2 as base not 4.2 ROM as it will not boot
