Hey all!
I would have posted this in the developement section, but I cant since I am a new registration! So please help me!
I just tried to flash my wt19i with the ice mod lite rom. I have a locked bootloader, so no custom kernel. I went through the AROMA installer, and since this is my first time, I was unsure of the entire thing. I think at one point, where I had to specify the device, I didnt. I just clicked next and proceeded to choose the bootloader status. Now, I followed all the previous steps of making a nandroid backup, wiping the dalvic cache and all. Now the phone doesnt boot. I think it might me stuck in a bootloop, as it is stuck at the sony logo. I cant enter CWM recovery. Flashtool doesn't recognise my phone either. How do I proceed?

To those of the 54 who looked here hoping to find a solution or see if there's a fix in case you face this sometime down the line, I fixed the phone with a SUS re-install of the original firmware. Simple and effective.

Have you tried to boot it in fastboot-mode?
Turn it off and hold the volume-up-button while connecting the phone with your pc...
Nice to hear you managed to restart your device
Just read to late you just managed to reinstall the phone...

me also struck with this same problem with WT19i & ST15 if i connect with sus it shows there is no other software for my phone , and i don`t have a "Next" button

my phone shipped with android 2.2.1 and i updated it to 2.2.2
now i wanna root it but nothing is working ! z4root restarts the phone but no changes... gingerbreak just keeps in that loading thingie forever (more than an hour) when i restart the phone no changes are made... superoneclick didn't help either... I found somewhere on the forums that i would need to downgrade to 2.2 but i can't find a way to do that because when i start searching for the original firmware for my country i can't find it... so any help ?

i dno why that link doesnt work, it was a program that downloaded the firmware for you. you simply select ur country.
thanks for the reply, that program just downloaded the v10g version which is 2.2.2 (flashing that wouldn't change anything). so now i need to downgrade... but which version should i use ? i can't find the original firmware for my country, and that really sucks (VERY bad service LG). so which original firmware should i get to flash it to my phone using kdz before rooting ?

oh, thanks for your help, but you didn't understand what i said... what i mean is, i'm going to downgrade, but i can't find the original firmware for my country... if i use another one, australian one let's say, will that brick my phone ? will it be compatible ?

Hmm...I had that issue. It can/may be solved by any other way. But I recommend to try the one I did. You need to type some commands in ADB, and then try rooting. It's a long process....Read my post in my blog here for details:-http://ayushandroidworld.blogspot.com/2011/11/how-to-root-lg-p500-with-gingerbread.html Note that the post is labeled as "for Gingerbread", but it'll work for you...........
Try it and let me know if it worked.

yaaaaaaay that was it ! i just did what that tutorial said and IT WORKED ! THANKS !
i did have some troubles at first but i checked the drivers, installed other ones that worked... and now it's ROOTED
hey guys
so now i have that "superuser" icon in my drawer, so i need to install a custom recovery... I installed ROM MANAGER from the market, flashed clockworkmod recovery (successfully) but when i select "reboot into recovery" it just hard-resets the phone and it boots again and i find it just like it was when i bought it... even tried shutting down the phone and pressing volume_down + power + menu..... is there something wrong ? please help !
Hello ,You still have clockwork (inside). Try Pull battery ,reinstall, press power,At logo press :HOME-VOL DOWN-POWER for about 5 sec.or untill you get into CW home screen.You can now only use the vol up & down to highlite an option and menu to enter/select the highlited option.If your installing a ROM ,install it (ZIP FILE) on your sdcard 1st (before) so you can select it.

I solved the issue... i just installed the rom manager 4.5.0.1 version...Worked as a charm...
Finally, i have cm7 on my phone, gingerbread 2.3.7
now i'm gonna flash the google apps (gapps) cuz it turns out i don't even have a market !

Hi, I am having a strange problem with lg p500.The screen freezes(keys work,but no display(only background light)) atleast 5 times per day and i have to pull the battery out and insert it again to boot it.I tried all possible things such as hard factory reset,sd card unmount issues,etc but nothing seems to work.
I have rooted the phone and having stock ROM 2.3.3 v20c.
please help me out.........?

I think problem in rom, try all methods u find appropriate if none working then
flash the rom (note if flashing all the dta will be erased , copy all contacts and important info from phone to any other storage)
flash by kdz updater (search xda)
or lgmdp method 1 (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=19006040#post19006040)
or lgmdp method 2 (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1324105)
or flash custom recovery (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1318750) and flash rom in zip format (serach xda development section)

Did you overclock your phone?if yes than lower your frequency.this may be kernel panic.

Its bcos your clocking is very low.. have u set minimum 122 MHz? If yes try increasing it ..

I had this problem with my p500 after rooting,
I installed MAY12|ROM|Moto RAZR-UI Revolution V6 rom

And now its working great! Once customised.
I accentually wiped my sim card tho, (my fault)
But is stable, great options and completely locks!

Don't be an jerk. No one is impressed by your insults and it just hurts the rest of the community. You did nothing to help with the problem, so keep your comments to yourself.
To OP: Best bet is a reflash of your ROM, and try a different rooting method.
I would say that you should try to leave your cell on the fastboot / recovery for a day and check if you can still reproduce this error.
I had this error when my phone was overheating (like left on a car dashboard for few hours with a direct sun).
U will have to reflash v20x firmware on you phone because it may not have fladhed properly last time when u flashed.i am not saying yo fladh rom i m saying about whole firmware
search it on google ie. official gb on p500 ul get the results
u will find many guides
flash it via kdz updater
if still problem is there that means ur hardware is faulty thrn take it to lg in stock condition

obviously coz he has stopped replying to ppl
If you have 62 firmware and locked bootloader it will be pretty hard to root your phone put CWM on and find a decent rom
In this thread i try to gather all information (links) needed with a simple guide to root your phone put cwm on and have a good rom.
I do this because i find it so hard looking for everything i need to root a locked bootloader xperia neo, so with people help we will bring all the stuff we need on one thread for LOCKED BOOTLOADER 62 FIRMWARE 2.3.4 XPERIA NEO.
Please if you find rom that work with lock bootloader please post on here.

i was going to get all info and links and post a easy 123 step method for locked bootloader 2.3.4 neo with 62 fw.
like this. (just example idk what comes first or what to do yet)
1) download this (*****)
2) download that (*****)
3)put (***) in the folder named (*****)
4) connect phone in flash mode
5)flash this and that
6) done. you can now put roms on and you have full root access..
i suggest use pandemics answer thank him and grant him best wishes with his work maybe donate him.
i will also post a list of roms that work with locked bootloader, maybe an ics version or 2
Basically i make this for simple instructions to get root cwm and rom. i will work hard to try make this good very very noob guide,

It's not hard to understand, but just you are lazy to try understand.
How can: flash .42, root, OTA (optionally flash .62 kernel) be hard to understand? What can be more simpler/noob prof than this?
Things aren't complicated, it just need to take some free time to TRY understanding them.
If all this is to complicated, only 1,2,3 which I can suggest is:
1)turn on phone
2)use it stock
3)turn it off

don't be lazy, go trough dev section and check yourself what rom's are for locked BL's.
it's not hard, actually most of them have word locked or unlocked in their title.
This is not for me i know this. i root my old phone, i am experience enough to cook my own rom on my old phone i also rite simple android apps so i know this. i do this for someone who not had android before i want nice simple instruction for them without the corporate mumbo jumbo

I don't know your earlier experience and knowledge, but based on your questions in this thread, you don't know how to do it, or it's hard for you to understand. (to lazy to quote each of your sentence with question). Maybe I'm wrong, but I just reply on your posts.
Also, making instruction even more simplified(then the one on Pandemic link) we are making zoombies out of people, who don't use their heads to think and try to understand something. People becoming to lazy these days.

here is my story.
i have a SE x10 (or x10i i not sure).
right now its been modded (i used this tutorial http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1305945 )
at one point after modding it wiped out (my friend was playing around with it) and lost all my data and stuff but it was still the modded look
at the moment im having wifi problems with it and have been advised by SE to send it into repair. now obviously i dont want them to know i got unofficial firmware on my phone.
how do i go back to the start, as in as SE gave me the phone no root no mod NOTHING. its a unbranded UK phone
iv read tutorials but not too sure which one i should follow.
and more info need let me know ill be happy to provide it
OKay! Best way to turn back is using pc companion! I guess! Whatever condition you are in... Install it on ur pc and check for repair and follow

download the UK generic file from my firmware collection thread.
flash it through flashtool. here's guide to use flashtool: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=928343
If you had unlocked your bootloader, lock it using flashtool after flashing uk firmware.

I mean bootloader unlocking not sim unlock.
If you havent done bootloader unlock by flashtool, dont worry about it.
No thats not the one, you can flash it but as you want to give it for repairs, it needs the UK generic.

first flash the UK generic firmware in flashtool.
to check if it is locked or unlocked see the last part of this post where it says how to check if it is unlocked or not.I hope its clear. It should be locked

ok so in my modded state i need it locked or unlock in order to go back to stock
at the moment in my modded state its R (which is locked?) so thus i not need to do anything...
i sound like a first time n00b asking all these questions
reason why i ask is im going to do it RIGHT NOW

if it is capital R then its locked. Nothing else to do.
Just flash the UK generic firmware in flashtool and you can just give the phone for repairs

one last question then ill leave u alone lol
i just tried and on the left of flash tools it as options for wipe data
MUST I HAVE IT CHECKED?
i have backed it up anyway just would save time if it didnt delete lol

its your choice but as you are giving for repair, better to wipe data so tick it

your right it did :victory:
but first time i did it it didnt work it kept showing the SE splash screen on repeat (NOT RESTART)
i think it was cuz i didnt wipe my data so i did it anywyas loll

yes might happen sometimes due to data from previous firmware.

hello all i just got this phone from a friend and its from china however i can use it here in the states,im just having a small problem getting the american android market stuff on this phone,a guy at bestbuy said i could force it and than said to come to this site.its the best phone i ever had and am really wanting to work it to its full potential so please help me out all and thanks.

He wasn't rude, he was just trying to tell that you didn't give as much info as it was needed.
About your problem, download flashtool and download .ftf (I suggest Nordic region) and flash it. Everything can be found in dev sections, or in sticky thread in general section.

But don't worry, nobody was born knowing all. Take your time and read a bit. If you are interested in that you will learn fast, as its not hard.
There is even tutorial on how to use flashtool.
See..try..

i tried that before but it said my phone needs to be rooted,that i tried but failed horribly

i managed nothing but to prove i shouldnt be doing this stuff haha nah i can try with enough more information i can try to pull it off see i tried to flash something or another but it just didnt happen i messed up the phone really bad and here i am still unable to do what i was trying to.seems as if something doesnt want me to do this.i wish i could

well im not doing so well again the same thing happened,i need help but just cant get it right.i tried another time but need to do an update to fix the phone.if anyone wants to try to walk me through this you can find me on skype i think my profile has the info on it.if not pm me or just not.thanks for the advice and attempts at it.
What is the filename of the file you are flashing to your phone?
Did flashtool reported any error or everything went well with flashing?

Why are you sending PM's, we have forum, there are smarter people here and will solve your problem faster if more of us discuss about it.

On those instructions I only see how to root your phone, which includes flashing MT11i kernel.
Now hear this. If you said all this info before, you would get your solution by now.
Flashing MT11i kernel on MT15i gives that error. And I would have told you that if you gave all the info you have. And no need to go around the web for instructions, everything you need is here, if you had checked this (sticky) thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1678690 you would noticed that flashing only kernel cause errors.
For start flash your phone with correct fw, to solve your initial question, then go on next exhibitions
And please use forum, it will be faster
