Well if your on JB or GB then the pressing power button and home button at same time should do the thing...
But on ICS it didn't work that way for me...
ICS: Press the volume down button and the power button at (almost) same time and hold them together for around 1-2 second.

Here's i made a flashable zip to change search button as back key and vice versa.
If your using Gingerbread based os
Flash this
(Tested on cm7)

It means that your search key will behave as back button and back key works as search button.

Not working.. when i touch the palm on the screen the application opens
Are you on stock firmware? You need to hold them down simultaneously and keep them there for like 2 seconds

Hold power button and volume down at the same time (approx 2-3 sec). If it didn't work, restart your phone and try it again.
On a side note, because its funny, my mum actually has pictures of here laptop and phone screen because she wanted to save the pictures but didn't know how to on either. Lol

make sure you're pressing them both at the exact same time. just tried it again and it worked...

Nvm lol I figured it out so you dont press power button+home button instead you hold the buttons home+power together for 3sec. Must hold the buttons not just press them but thank you alot
