hey man, first make sure if the rom only opens the keyboard lights in dark places because some roms make that happen to save battery.
Second, a trick that i use and find out myself ( so i don't know if it will work for you ) without any app is this: with screen blocked, slide the keyboard, the lights will open, after that the lights will always open when you slide the keyboard .
If i helped press thanks , good luck .

It doesn't work. It doesn't on even in the dark or night..But thanks for answering.
Other solutions??
yes yes yes, you should take care of your flex. just here on a thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1935124
And about the lights, on some rom the KbFix isn't working. try it to MiniCM10 and the lights will work properly without the KbFix.
Well, i think that you could try: search files ( in the winrar of the rom ) in the other roms that are working and put those files on your rom, if that doesn't work you only have 2 choices: a Fix ( but like you say, it's more battery draining ), or install a rom that is working on that, stark v3 is working on that so give it a try .

It`s true. Firstly my proxymity sensor stoped working. After that display was in 2 partions. Status-bar was at the bottom of the screen. Also my phone was unable to boot. It was always rebooting at the start. after disassembly i saw broken flex cable. now i am waiting for replacement parts.

Good point. That or ..
Original Eclair dialer would make this phone much better..
Would be great to disable this damn light sensor. I don't understand why can't we disable it to the hell out??
The light sensor seams to be OAM apk, so maybe removing them would disable light sensor... I didn't try yet, so if someone try, let us know if it works.
Where is it?
I did a misstake : it's not OAM but OMA.
And i think to remember that there were 2 OMA apk in system/app folder

5 - reboot the phone
Thats all, you don't see work of this sensor.
Ok, it works at 100%. But... Ekhm... brightness is just crazy now xd I think I prefered old settings ;p. I'll try it tommorow.

new version of Light Sensor Disable
i made a new version. it's got a normal bright and decrease a power consumption (i hope)
Can you write a small description on those changes, what does what ?
i write it in my post
Hi, all.
Could someone enlighten me a bit, what exactly do the light sensor do, and what would be the advantage (and disadvantage) of turning it off?
Cheers.
The light sensor is what detects ambient light around the phone and automatically adjusts screen brightness to torch your eyes out.
Hi! I've an issue on my xperia mini pro.
More than often the back key (which is a touch sensitive key) stops working.
I can't resolve this definitely. Things I tried:
- reset settings (does not work)
- total reset (works for a couple of weeks than the problem comes back)
- killing services with android system cleaner (works sometimes, I see that maybe is related to the process "Home of sony ericsson" -the stock launcher v2.1.x)
- switched to go launcher ex (worked for a full day, the problem came back)
- prevent various apps and services to startup (did not work)
- remove various apps and services (didn't work)
- update firmware to 2.3.4 (only solved the problem of the black screen that won't unlock)
what in the world should I do to fix this tedious issue?
tnx for answers, forgive me for my spaghetti english

Rom is pre-rooted, you will need to unlock bootloader and flash a different kernel.
Hardware keyboard will not be working, you'll need to get the files from the CM7 stable build for this.
I would not endorse going down this route unless you want to be running CM7 anyway, and there is no guarantee it will help.

thank you! You're right: I don't want to flash the previous version just to set up cm7! Not cause I don't like it but because with the previous version of the stock kernel I was having a much more big problem: the black screen (some others had the same problem).
Maybe I'll go on this way, waiting for ICS hoping it'll fix up everything!

xperia mini pro! not active!
that would be true for the settings key too!
I think is a sort of bug of the rom... I'm getting it very often! damn!
I noticed that sometimes the screen light "shakes", like a vibration, and so the lights behing the touch keys...
the light sensor reacts to reflections of the light and shadows I make when using the phone. This is a minor thing but the back key sometimes makes really hard using the phone!

Hi Guys,
I've been using MiniCMSandwich AOSP Android 4.0.4 RC3 daily since its release and i must say that this is the best ROM i've used so far. I got SE Mini Pro (sk17i).
I've read some complaints about battery drainage but in my case, i must say that my phone can last more than 30 hours with light usage (around 20 hours with normal) (Wifi is turned on with e-mail, gmail, fbook, etc.. syncs on)... Seriously i've never seen more than like 24 hours before with everything even turned off...
There were some compatibility problems with apps such as mobile dialers on RC2 but they seem to be resolved with RC3 as well.
I didn't encounter any random shut offs or anything like that either, although the GSM signal seems to go out momentarily (it happens in an instance) sometimes (at least that's what the signal meter shows) but i don't think it affects anything. (at least i didn't experience any call problems).
There are some cosmetical needs (low priority) like;
- It doesnt show whether you are typing capitalized or numbers (no indication at the top right).
- The world kinda looking button on the HW keyboard which used to change the language you are typing, capitalizes letters instead.
- So the buttons on the HW keyboard;
1- Shift button: Does what it is supposed to
2- World button: Does what shift button does
3- Blue button: Does what it is supposed to (lets you write the blue characters on the keyboard) but this was also being used as Caps lock and Number lock which is not the case anymore. It used to loop as No Caps, First letter capped, All caps, first entry number then letters, number lock...
So if you have a SE Mini Pro i'd say give this ROM a try!!
Kamarush, You are the best!!
Thank you!
what a pity there are something bug, but so beatiful
how can i set the face unlock?
Yeah they have done a nice work.. been using since 2nd day on its release.

Hi, I've been using this rom for 24hrs now, since its the first custom rom I've ever installed Im really really happy with it, it works amazing, yeah it has its minor bugs yet, but what can I say compared to my past stock GB 2.3.4 >.< but there are some things that I miss from the GB, idk if its a bug or what, but the symbols key only displays a few of them, wich none I use xD, I miss older smileys too, plus when you leave pressed a key it shows you the different options you can choose from, for example, i write in spanish and when I press by a short time the "n" key I can choose to put an "ñ" instead and you could continue writing and that letter would be selected automatically, now i have to choose it manually, not that I'm lazy >.< other bug that I found is that on contacts menu when trying to write or modify a contact's number instead of a 1 it appears a 7, or instead of a 2 a 9, but only with physical keyboard, dunno if anyone of u is experiencing this too :/ battery ussage so far so good, but I'll calibrate my batt when it runs out tho (just in case), I've only experienced 2 sudden reboots, my voice calling volume is a little low, nothing to complain about as most of the time when I receive or make calls I'm at home xD
So I really recommend this rom, I'm using a Xperia Mini Pro btw

one more thing, system may not let you save your edited build.prop right away, saying that it is read-only.
Although there may be other methods (no idea);
I just went to terminal and did below;
Code:
su
busybox mount -o rw,remount /dev/block/mmcblk0p1 /system
this removed the read-only from it
Yeah, I managed to change it, I just put mounted as R/O instead of R/W on Rootexplorer, but now Im facing another problem :/ I tried to change the build prop so I could enter msc mode like Kamarush said, but when I rebooted after changing the code now my phone doesn't get detected as usb drive, it only starts charging, but just that, oh, and my signal seems to reset or something when I plug the usb cable :/

miniCMsamwich runs really well. the keyboard isn't perfect, special symbols are a bit weird. also brightness of screen is not always applied, but after lock/unlock it usually applies it.
In general the problems are far less than the advantages of ICS, just so many things got better and easier to use. phone definitely got a lot better with ICS
Hi there, my WT19i behaves a bit odd when concerning to charge while the phone is off. If it's off, when I insert the charger, it turns itself on; if the charger is in whith the phone on, everything works normally; if I turn it off with the charger plugged, it doesn't charge after it turns off. Do you experience the same? Is it the kernel's or the ROM's fault? Cheers.
This is the rom I'm using: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1702952
Overall the best and most bug-free bar the stock rom, but it has that problem and a needs a bit of small fine-tuning in some details (MIUI Weather not working, backlight panel toggle can't be removed and does nothing, no emoticons in SMS, Facebook integration in the contacts doesn't work). Can't wait to be able to post in the development threads :good:
It's within the ROM. I'm using exmiui, and don't have that problem.

Oh, what a pity... I dumped recently ExMIUI for this one because this has a lot less bugs and the development will continue and updates are coming every week, while the development of ExMIUI is a lagging way behind and it's said that will be abandoned. I hope they iron out this bug, then...
About those programs that have no use, such as:
- the MIUI network assistant, that doesn't work with non-chinese providers,
- the Permission Manager, that does nothing, because it's superseeded by the Superuser APK;
- the Notes program that is in chinese and anyway I already have the Myphonexplorer Notes for that;
- the Torch program, that is irrelevant since I can use the flash as a torch by just clicking in the notification area;
- the "Multiling Keyboard" that becomes useless when we can use the standard ICS keyboard;
- the Music program that is superseeded by the Walkman app in this ROM;
- that thing written in chinese that seems some kind of firewall
Can I use Titanium Backup to remove them without breaking the ROM or damaging stability / functionality? Thanks in advance.
