I meant WE shouldn't be looking at this as a race, but rather as a WIN WIN situation.
But the last things are extremely hard to get working, I'm guessing they both get NFC pretty soon, then MAYBE cell data, but wifi and bluetooth are going to be near dang impossible without those drivers.
But seriously, just tried out X's new preview (v3) and man was it smooth! I can't wait for the whole shabang!

Just needs bt, data, gsm, and something else... Not WiFi though... They have that I believe. They also got usb recognition for charging and adb working they other day.
There's another thread called "ics for the amaze" or "who will get cm first"... I don't remember... Clutter smh...

why? what has he done that makes you think he can make a ril work for the rezound? It looks to me like the tbolt has no ril yet, and that is what he was working on. He might be able to make a ril, but that has yet to be seen. plus probably won't even have the phone for a few more days.

I should probably step back on that, thunderbolt has working RIL on CM7, not sure about CM9. Though I am not sure why it wouldn't work for CM9 too.
No, Slayher did. Protekk did his own verison of CM7 though. I just don't remember if he did his own RIL or not. Was to long ago haha.
We shouldnt expect working ril for a while. Going to take a while imo, which is fine. Hope no one thinks itll be instant .

You do realize that the thunderbolt does not have any form of HTC ICS whereas the Rezound does right? Just some food for thought before you question my credibility boss

I didn't make this, but Rydah805 found the fix and rhcp made the file flashable. It tested on viper's rom but I'm almost sure it works on stock and any other.... thank me if it helps!

Embedded in the link is a replacement settings.apk file. The title says it's for viper's rom. Assuming other rom's make no changes to the settings.apk, this should work with those too.
The problem is, each rom maker may include subtle differences in such a key apk. This is like flashing a universal build.prop file. Similar headaches can result.
i made it for stock, so should work if its the same... also, people should go to WiFi settings>Advanced>and set "Keep Wi-Fi on during sleep" to always. what i patched is wifi signal jumping around.

After the initial jumping this morning WiFi stayed connected for about 45 minutes. Thought I had it fixed before, but it will drop in and out over and over.
Will try it out again tonight and let u know if it works. I thought it was for the WiFi sleep disconnect though?

sorry. your right. i was confusing myself with something else... lol, it should fix 3g shutting off. the setting i posted above should *fix* wifi. the wifi thing isnt really a bug, as it is togglable.

Yeah, but the toggle doesn't work. Well, I'm going off others word, but there's so many saying its broken that I believe them. Phone is running fine otherwise. Have a backup, so if it starts shooting lasers and frying cats u are to blame, lol.

Because its not officially released yet. Google now works amazingly, video cam doesn't work and there are wake lock issues but once battery life is fixed its my daily

Its probably about there for daily driver. Data still funky..didnt recognize sdcard2, gallery and camera were iffy. SMS worked but never tried mms. It ran good besides that. No fc except gallery after a long wait and camera should since it froze. The base rom is solid though.

The ROM is ALMOST daily driver material. The battery life is atrocious compared to other ROMs, but that's something that will be worked out. After that is fixed, I would call it a DD.
SD card already works, camera is somewhat stable, Google Now works well, and I'm not seeing many force closes.

Will be a daily once they fix the screen going off when making calls issue too...
If I need to "hit 1 for English," I'm SOL. If I need to use speaker, I'm SOL. Etc.
This ROM is amazing, and SO close to being a daily driver. I cannot wait!

One thing I saw was that I couldn't mount my storage to my PC or it would hot reboot or just not mount at all. I haven't tried it on aokp yet though.

Keyboard in landscape only shows top row of qwerty for me. All bunched up to the left too. Don't know if this has been discussed yet just thought I'd share.

Yea, it was clean flashed. Ok i just tried it again on AOKP JB and it mounted just fine. Maybe it was just my build?

I'm on a build from 2 nights ago but the sound profile seems finicky. Like it will show the icon n status bar that its on silent. But a notification will sound, then I can use the volume hardware buttons and see that the ringers way up, but if I turn it back down and LA with it a bit it gets right.
Also, with the play store when I am doing what I call rapid fire downloading, which is scrolling through "my apps" and installing one after the other, is rare but after about 12 apps sometimes the play store will just force close to the home screen. But then I can open it and it loads up fresh and works fine.

Not until you just mentioned it. I think it's a pretty silly gimmick and I never notice it unless I'm looking for it. I can confirm though.
Was listening to BT music and placed a call ( with phone not bluetooth ) was done with the call the audio played from phone and not from BT.
