After turning the phone on, the 3 buttons at the bottom of the phone work for approximately 2-3 minutes with navigation, etc, then freeze, so only the touchpad screen works from this point, unless I turn the phone off. Can anyone help me?
Are you on a custom or stock ROM?
If it works again after each reboot it doesn't seem to be a hw issue at least.

Good question, I don't know whether customer or stock ROM, how do I find out?
Go to settings, about phone and tell us what it says is the Android version. If its stock then it will also show firmware version

I have been using My SGSII with a few different Roms starting from stock 2.3.3 to Leomar 2.4 and Batista70 3.5 for a while now and when I flash batista70 3.5 Returns Rom last night everything worked fine except I notices my Menu touch Key led twitching and or not turning on at all while the back key is full lit. Sometimes it would come on after the phone was in sleep and I slide to unlock the phone but the led was really dim and not visible at all. I have tried wipe cache & dalvik cache as well as full data factory format reset and reflash of the Rom and it still didn't light up right. I flashed an Official Samsung i9100XXKG6 firmware and after boot and pressing *2767*3855# still the led stays off. If anyone can help me I will really appreciate it. I just hope it isn't a hardware problem..
Had this with my Acer Liquid. Had domething to do with kernell. Try going back to stock. 2.3.3

That feature can be adjusted in settings on most rom, I have mine turned off. Look in display

I tried flashing back to stock 2.3.3 and I went in boot loop so I had to flash KG6. I tried many different Kernel it still had this problem..

I see the feature in display settings but it only lets me turn both off or both on or 1.5 sec or 6 sec. I use BLN notifications so I need them to be on 1.5 or 6 seconds. The problem still persist in either settings.

Have you tried to reflash the CM via oddin or CWM? Ir tesa try to move the CM settings.

No It did not happened since I flashed cm7.I think I m not sure but it started to happen after I fixed permissions in cwm............

You need to reflash. Fixing will set to standard, cm7 isnt standard.

For problem 2, you can try clearing data of your camera app in manage application.
For problem 4, you need to go to spare parts and select end button behavior to sleep.

Hello All,
I noticed that every time I either charge or connect to my computer via USB, there is always this "notification" that I have emails or whatever on my notification bar that I cannot get rid of. Once I scroll down the notification bar, the notice disappeared and there is no "clear" button to clear it.
Even though this is nothing big to frown upon on, but I found it to be very annoying and if anyone had similar problems and knows how to fix it, please let me know! Thanks!
Which ROM or SE software are you using? Info like that can help us solve your problem better.
If your running a ROM, my guess it's a ROM issue depending on the ROM.

This annoying problem has been plaguing me for a long time. It started after the SE 2.3.3 stock, and it persist when I change to wolfs rom and now the ultimate rom.
any advices would be greatly appreciated! Thanks

Nope, but I repaired my stock 2.3 on PC companion and it's still there.
Then I would call SE to see if your issue is a hardware problem or not.

I'm running Mazdas AOKP 3.0 and ive noticed that on some AOSP ROMs sometimes the harware keys (home,menu, etc.) Dont light up. When I firsf flash rom they work fine but after a while they dont turn on most of the time. Anyone know how to fix this? Thanks for your help.

I'm not sure why they stop working with that ROM, but here's a post with a manual way to adjust the brightness.

So I gave it a try and it worked but it didn't. The lights turn on but now they wont turn off even when screen locks unless I reboot and then I have to edit again. So Ill keep searching. Thanks though man its better than it was...

I have been searching for an answer for hours. I rooted my P500 today, and when I flash a ROM, the touch screen does not work at all. I tried 2 different ROMs with no luck. :crying:
At first I thought it was the lock screen,
then I called my phone while the ROM was on it
, the phone rang,
but I couldn't drag the screen to answer.
Please any one help !
Dear brother, you seem worried! Chill! Try changing Rom and see if touch screen works, if not! Then you have messed something. It's a weird situation. So, try visiting a service center. it's your luck if phone is under warranty ok any way visit service center once. hence, it seems like a hardware problem we can't help much! Do u know my back button and volume buttons don't work properly, I use "button saviour" app. Good luck!
