[Q] Most stable rom right now? - Galaxy Tab 10.1 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi,
I got p7510 and have been using TASK 14 ROM because it simply has been best choice for me. I tried ICS and JB roms about 6 months ago(guess?) and didn't like them due FC and lagginess. I'm looking for a stable and fast rom. What do you suggest and what rom are you using right now?

CM10.1 - Nightly. No complaints whatsoever.

Pretty much anything up to date is stable. I've never had any unexpected force closes or issues.

CM10.1 nightly stable here as well, with Tablet UI added.
Perfect for me.

I found the CM10.1 nightlies (4.2.x) a bit laggy. I switched to the unofficial CM10 (Android 4.1.x) builds from Pershoot: Very very smooth rom for the P7510.

I've just finished trying out CM and another JB release and I'm going back to Task 14. I was happy at first and overall they were 95% clean and nice. That 5% got me though. Battery life while OCing is nasty. Went to load the calendar while on the phone doing business (usually I use my phone or notebook) and crash - gapps has issues in JB. Some other minor stuff (using an old hacked Hulu app, etc) but I was happier before. YMMV

Nero Stable?

I was thinking about flashing Nero beta 3 on my vibrant and use it as a daily driver but is it stable and usable?
Yes. Beta status is because there are more features coming to rom, not because its unstable
hell yea its stable been running it since it came out, its fast, it looks good and it has great battery life
I just flashed it a few hours ago, and I'm relatively happy. No obvious bugs yet, and the speed seems good. Not a fan of the launcher, coming from Onyx though.
Been running it since it came out and have found no serious issues. Battery is pretty good and I love the look.
I've also been running Nero since Beta 1 and have had no stability issues. No FCs or shutdowns while running Navigation + Last.fm over 3G or while doing anything else for that matter. Even in Beta 1 where there were a few small bugs, the ROM was still stable, most likely because it uses the stock kernel.

[Q] Which ROM do you advice for i9001

Hello
Which ROM would you advise me to install? I can't really get my head around them... they all seem to be the same thing with just different interface ;|
Anyways, I'd like something thats "working" (camera, gps, apps, and so on). No need for any overlocking and so on.
Other then texting and calling, I mainly browse interwebs and play some games.
PS: I tried to find something on the forums, but I managed to find only one advice topic, and it was trolled by people cracking jokes about "lounge room" and "bath room"...
I'm using Cyanogenmod 7.2 and for me it works fine.

If you want a stable 2.3 Gingerbread ROM based on the stock firmwares, I would suggest:
- Gigabread (worked perfectly fine),
- BlazR (not everything worked for me - had some Android market issues)
- broorROM (i've tried both versions - both are nice)
or if you want a 4.0 ICS ROM,:
- both ariesve and ivendor's versions are in late beta, and they work pretty fine (everything works, good battery life, overall stable)
- MIUI v4 RC5 - if you want the MI interface, this one's a pretty stable one (currently using it myself for more weeks)
- EHDROIDX
- ParanoidAndroid
2.3 i haven't tried any so no idea.
4.0.4 ICS there are a couple but what i can truly suggest is CM9 by Arco68 or Ivendor. Both ROMs are smooth stable and work great.
4.1.2 I can only suggest Ivendor's Beta 2 for now. Even if it still has an annoying keyboard bug when flipping from portrait to landscape it's the most stable and fast rom out there. SlimBean eats up battery life too fast, EHNDROIX II looks and moves great but sometimes remains awake and eats battery and some software runs like **** on it. iGO Primo for example stutters like crazy with that ROM.
broodROM Jellybean Release 3 is smooth and stable and had a good battery life.

CyanogenMod: Nightly or Stable - Which do you use?

I would like to know which version of CyanogenMod you prefer for daily use. Although nightlies are not meant for daily use, I think some users do.
Do you like to see updates every day and use the latest state of the ROM or do you prefer to have a rock solid ROM and wait for the next step until there's a RC or stable? And why?
Actually I am switching between stable and nightlies within days, because I cannot decide which one to use. I love nightlies, because I am curious for the latest features/bugfixes/else. But when a bug occurs, I always think: "Well, the stable version has only minor differences (for me) but is stable. Let me switch back." And after a few days I am curious what has changed. ^^
How about you? Stable or nightly?
There are only 2 stable versions since ics..
Cm9 stable
Cm10.1 stable
Cm9 has extreme battery life but its old now..cm10.1 is good n new but battery life is poor.. (yes it is)
I am currently using last cm10 nightly ... i guess 16/12/12
Works like a charm wid decent battery life.
and 10.2 nightly builds are good enough for daily use (only down side is poor battery life for me)
Yes. Ice Cream Sandwich esp. 4.0.4 has the best battery life out of the box. Even with Samsung's stock firmware. The CyanogenMod of Jelly Bean is still much better than Samsung stock JB when it comes to energy consumption.
But this was not my question. ^^ It was more about whether 10.1 stable or 10.2 nightly at the moment.

I would prefer the stable version
Nightlies arent safe (few nightlies back.. i restored a nandroid backup which wiped my entire internal storage) i reported the issue and it was confirmed by others too.
So i would suggest staying wid 10.1 stable .. 4.3 has mostly under the hood changes.. and m not a maniac to be on latest Android version irrespective of its stability
I'm with 10.3 nightly from 24/9 good for daily use, battary is better for me too:good:

cm 10.1.3 already released so im using it now ..
Only stable... for me is better...
I only use nightlys and had never any heavy problems.
I trust the CM team.
Used to use Nightlies to have the newest version of Android and use the latest CyanogenMod features, but now that there is a Stable release I'm using that as the stability is well worth being just one version behind stock Android

i switch to latest stable/nightly every couple of months to check things out, always coming back to CM9 it's just perfect
I'm using CM 10.1.3 and it's very fast and stable!
Developers Developers.. please be OmniRom maintainer and port it to our GS2..../request

I currently use the stable 10.1 version. Battery life is... Okay... But I think I will check out CM9 stable to see if i can do better. In terms of performance I really love CM10.1. I have not used a nightly of 10.2 but I think i will not need to until a RC comes out.

I used to use only stable images. But now i updated form i9000 to i9100 and using multiboot with dormanx kernel i test a lot of nighlys
tried 10.1 stable and the only thing stable about it was how bad it run. Camera force-closing, random reboots, etc. Same experience I had back in the day with CM9. Switched to ASOP and I'm never ever giving CM another chance again.
Always checking out the the latest release, doesn't matter if it's stable or nightly.:good:
Normally I'd have flashed an M Snapshot but there was nothing uploaded for the S2. In the CyanogenMod news I've read that they would push M snapshots onto the servers last night, but there is nothing appearing for the S2. Well, seems like I have to wait until a somewhat stable-like release for us is uploaded, I don't really wanna use the nightlies because I need my phone for everyday use and bugs are bad

[Q] CM 10.1 vs 10.2 vs 11

Currently i'm on CM11 with the kernel it comes with. However i'm facing camera issues where it says that camera isn't detected sometimes and a couple of FCs here and there.
So my question was which ones more stable in terms of scrolling/daily use/battery life + the kernel until CM 11 comes up with a stable release. I'm concerned about the battery life as well because it's not that great and i get lag when switching apps etc. I know that best rom questions are forbidden that's why i've specified these versions and i'm only asking for opinions as i really don't want to flash CM10 right now and find out that it's worse.
so no one?
10.2 is the most recent stable version, 11 is nightly and buggy as s**t

Stable custom rom i9100

Is there any stable/fast/battery friendly custom rom for this device avaialable?
I'm just tired to reflash every single rom i find just to find out 1-2 days later is buggy as crap, sucks your battery dry or it has random freezes.
Slimsaber 4.4.4 by fusionjack is what you want. If you require to use apps like Whatsapp or Skype, you should try Slimkat instead.
problem is i already am on slimkat 4.4.4 (latest official stable build) . it's not good. it sucks the battery dry , phone gets very hot and I get random lock-ups.
slimsaber has problems with whatsapp and skype?

SlimSaber has got problems with Skype. I guess you should try out Neat ROM or Nameless ROM, for they have had the greatest support. If you want battery life, then try out SlimSaber for it has optimizations.
Regards.

Omni 5.1.1 is the stablest and fastest rom ever. But terrible battery life EVER (sometimes 1h sot, sometimes 3and half. Only your phone knows )
Got my S2 just two months ago, as a spare phone.
So i tried almost all major roms avaiable. Slimbeam, Slimkat, NeatROM etc during these two months
there are some major issues with battery drain or minor random freezes, no GPS, extremely laggy Youtube playback.... I cant even remember all roms that i tested, but I'm sure that all of them were in the first two pages of Galaxy S2 Original Android Development or Android Development.
Just go with Cyanogen 10.1.3., works best for me, no freezes, battery life is good (yet slightly worse than stock rom, as you would expect). Youtube playback is fine, maybe a little bit laggy at the beginning of playback but I'm used to iPhone 100% smoothness so maybe its normal. Its just 4.2.2. tho. CM 10.1.3. works for everyday use, almost like a stock Samsung ROM.
No 4.4.4. that I tested was not 100% stable, all of them had some issues that I could not stand, like battery drain, loosing audio playback, GPS problems and more. Dont get me started on 5.1.1. builds...
Here's a stable Cm Rom, haven't tried, but if we can trust the "stable" status...
