[Q] Best Sense Rom? - HTC Rezound

What is the best Sense Rom? Also, what Android version are all the sense roms based on? I've been running Neo's Tron Rom, which i absolutely love, but I wanted to experiment with some sense roms just for fun.

+ post count.

Some are sense 3.6 and some are sense 4
Try them all and you will find one you like

i.m.o=viperrez. i tried others and i seem to keep coming back to this one.its based off of 4.0.4 and its sense 4
REZOUND-S-OFF-VIPERREZ - SNUZZO 2.3 KERNEL...

Having tried both viperrez and eclipticrez, I stick with ecliptic. I have had 0 issues with it and I do mean 0. Not only that but it still receives updates. It's android 4.0.3 with sense 4.0. Flash it....u won't be disappointed.

Viperrez and ecliptic rez have been my two favorites. Ecliptic is my current Rom.. Smooth and stable haven't had a problem yet. Decent battery life too. Viperrez was nice but with my experience, the battery drained too fast and had some minor problems. Loved the tweaks though. It's fun playing around with different ROMs but if you want a steady reliable and a well rounded ROM....Ecliptic is the way to go

Give NilsP business sense, Ineffabilis Deus or EclipticRez a run. If you want something a touch different try my rom Viral OTA.

Newt's Sense 4.1 ROM had lots of issues. Would not recommend considering it dropped data constantly, had issues with HtcDm force closing constantly, and only had 3G support for some reason.
Ineffabilis is essentially de-bloated stock with some "tweaks" but worked perfectly for me (HSPA data and calls/texts) when I needed a global rom overseas.
Try em out and see. I'm partial to AOSP roms.

What is the most stable rom to date for the Rezound?
Any of scrosler's roms are stable.
Stock rooted
::Sigh:: Post this in general next time. Scrosler's ROMs are stable and I'm having good luck with Newtoroot's Ineffibilis-Deus-Alpha-ICS as well.

I've tried quite a few.. depends which one you want.. gingerbread or ics..
Boreds 1.5 rezRom was the best for me in the GB roms, for ICS scotts Cleanrom 2.1 ICS edition.
cheers
just seems
Most seem stable enough.
ICS roms are fun...
But don't discount the GB roms.
I enjoy the look feel and features of nilsp business gb. It really is a great phone on a well done Rom.
RezROM & Nils for me. Full functionality and 0 issues.
And they all or at least some of them have beats feature ? I'm very impress with the beats sound. ****! Its like being inside the club. Bass is ridiculous awesome

just out of curiosity

I'm no developer obviously but what is it so hard to get rid of sense without having issues? It seems like every senseless rom has some kind of bug. I just heard that sense makes the phone slower. What's the fastest sense rom out?
Sent from my ADR6425LVW using XDA
depends
Depends on the version of android you want. Ice cream sandwich or gingerbread
ICS

Just out of curiosity, who told you Sense was slow? Sense is not slow. You've been given incorrect info regarding Sense.
That's true. I'm running an ics Rom by nilsp. Ics sense version 4.2. Seems really good overall.
I just have to fix the sd card mounting error.
Sent from my ADR6425LVW using XDA
Sense is slow and laggy on Gingerbread. But on ICS its smooth because of Hardware Acceleration. CleanROM DE is pretty much bug-free though. And super-smooth check it out

I think sense 3.6 is slowish. Sense 4 is amazing. Finally like sense again.

I want to try the Sense 4.x ROMs, but I want data arrows. No arrows, no flash.
Is there a fix out for that by any chance?

i can mod it so you see the arrows, they wont work but you can at least see them.
besides the arrows sense 4.0 made me love sense again.
Heh, no thanks on arrows that don't do anything. My connection is spotty (Kansas City, MO) and I need the arrows so I know if I actually have data. A lot of times, I'll be connected and won't get any traffic.
I thought maybe it was the phone, but I'm on my 3rd Rezound at this point.
okay, what's the snappiest sense rom?
Sent from my ADR6425LVW using XDA
One of the cleanrom variants or newts on xxx
Clean rom developer edition is great and no sense. No bugs either.
okay thanks, how come no one ever mentions bamf senseless? Is it not as good as DE for some reason?

Put me down for CONROM!
Edit: Patiently waiting for AOKP!!!!
Yeah. I just rooted my friends rezound and i have no clue about the roms for this. I'm running aokp on my phone now.

I agree with maniac...ConRom...everything you want in a stock rom, with all the tweaks you need. Runs fantastic.
Sweet will definitely look into that one. Also how bout Cm9 or Miui. And also I heard a lil about Nils Business rom. Thoughts on them.

In my opinion if you like a stock-ish ROM with the tweaks I like Neo's "Simplistic"
If you like a de-sensed rom that looks like ICS Neo's "NeoMAX" is good as well.
I like alot of tweaks with some cool themes and mods. But also something that's good on battery.

Yes. I like alot of tweaks also alot of customizing. But something that helps battery also.

I have to give a plug to Newt's OnEXxX. Been running it for a few weeks now with no problems and good battery. For rock solid Sense 3.6 I'd say Ineffabilis Deus.

+1 for Newts One XxX. Very smooth sense 4 rom, very good battery life and no problems at all. I have been using it for more than a month now. I just decided to try the face unlock and it works perfectly. If you like sense, try this Rom. You would not want to go back to a sense 3.6 rom.
Which ROM is the best?
Try the ones available and stay on the one that suits you the best.

[Q] best aosp/aokp Rom? Stability+feature filled

I'm looking for the best aokp or aosp Rom I can find but I can't find one that doesn't slow down after maybe an hour of using it.. any suggestions?
Sent from my ADR6425LVW using xda premium
I'm a little partial to CounterShrike myself, but maybe I'm not the most objective person. Apophis and I have spent a lot of time packing as many features, enhancements, and bugfixes into as we can. It's not as feature packed as AOKP, but it's steps above stock CM9, and I haven't had any stability issues with it.
I have to agree with shrike. I've been running project rachel (1.2) since it came out and it has just the right amount of customization options while still keeping it pretty stock AOSP. I've had no random reboots and it actually holds mobile data much longer until an airplane toggle is needed than other aosp/aokps I tried.
I just haven't gotten around to updating to 2.0 as there aren't many imperative updates (afaik)
Sent from my ADR6425LVW using xda app-developers app
Thanks I'm on aokp right now.. I'm still trying to decide between aosp or sense
Sent from my HTC Rezound using xda premium
AOKP has stability issues on this phone. I've never gotten it to run well. Any of the CM9 based builds should be much more stable. You'll lose some customization options, but the stability is worth it to me.
I'm tempted to go to stock rooted.. everything works.. I can't get video to work on joelz viperrom and countershrike has some underlying issues I don't like
Sent from my ADR6425LVW using xda premium
What issues are you having? I've squashed all the bugs I know about, except the ones that are in AOSP in general.

I've never tried a custom Sense ROM because I had fears of HTC Sense being a battery killer.
hence why I like bare bones AOSP stuff

Did you try the new version of newt's Rom ? It's the smoothest Rom
So far for me, bamf is the smoothest but newts new 2.0 is the most feature rich.

Tried Newts twice, first version and 1.0.6 and both I had the problem with the lockscreen unlocking by just one tap anywhere on the screen. As far I as know this issue was never solved. I'll stick with Viper for now.

Thanks guys. I loaded up Newt's newest one. Checking it out. So far so good...
CM10.1 is the best(generally better battery life and performance than any sense rom ive used) but theres no camera or bluetooth yet. But yeah, newts is for sure the most feature rich and authentic sense 5 rom.

You did noticed that the thread is about sense, yes?
This thread is kinda like asking whose tried all races of women, which ones best? Lol, Sense 5 roms are a question of taste, and what you're looking for.. Imo if you want a rom that's a freak in the sheets but a lady in the streets, I like NEWTS:beer:

Tried Newt , NOS and Hatka.
Newt is most feature rich,.
NOS seems to be the most fluid, fastest and probably most compatible.
Hatka has some tweaks (battery mods, built in toggles) and the one sense 5 Rom i keep as a backup.
They are all nearly clones of each other though. They are all about blink feed which is the nicest of all the feeders like Flipboard and feedly. I do miss it sometimes as it is the best newsfeed aggregator out there by a long shot.
I had problems with newt's rom. now on hatka supreme and it's amazing.

lol. thought the M7 was Newt. I meant the digital dream rom.
I had problems installing Hatka supreme at first because of all the options in Aroma. I like to de-sense a little bit and remove apps that that I will never use, The problem is that I kept getting weird FCs and other odd behavior until I just did a straight install of everything. Since then running smooth. nos seemed to burn too much battery for me too.
Only bad thing about new NOS is battery life
Is there a way to customize the dock icons on Sense5?
