One more question to everyone!!!

Okay so i finally got jk6 so when froyo officialy comes out will i be able to upgrade with kies mini without bricking or losing any info???
Or with odin? So basically im asking if i need to go back to an official firmware (jfd) before upgrading to official froyo or can i upgrade right from the leak???

Other than the fact that your phone will explode, everything will work out
Seriously though, there's no reason to get anxious. Everything will be okay.

2.3.5?

I just got my Galaxy last week.
I see it is firmware 2.3.4
Has AT&T offered/sent the 2.3.5 update? If so, how do I get it? I have not seen any notification on my phone about it.
Also, I rooted my phone.
When I get the 2.3.5 update will my phone still be rooted after if I install 2.3.5 from AT&T?
Is it possible to update through Kies Mini? That is what I used for my Samsung Vibrant T959. But kies does not seem able to connnect to my AT&T galaxy s ii SGH-I777
OR do I need to root it again?
2.3.5 has not been officially announced.
the main reason for the update is the fix for the lock bug.
the 2.3.5 that is available im not sure if its leaked or user developed but its not Official.
Perception ROM is your best bet at the moment.

to my knowledge it is the only rom thats based off 2.3.5 and of course, like every other rom its rooted=)
I think we'll see more 4.0 roms sooner than we will any 2.3.5's if you want a higher os then flash CM7 and have 2.3.7

[Q] How to go back to original Gingerbread of Samsung Galaxy S2

Hi,
I am from India and have Samsung Galaxy S2. I was eager to update my phone to ICS and updated it couple of months back. Later i found that it was not an official update.
Now, I want to rollback to the original version of Gingerbread that was installed at the time of buying.
I tried factor reset, but its now working. I am seeing only ICS.
Can anyone help me on how to get back to my original version of my phone or let me know any link where i will be able to find detailed steps to rollback to my original version.
Thanks in Advance
Vijay

[Q] Revert S2 back to ICS

I'm running stock S2, locked to Orange (UK). I upgraded to Jellybean via Kies and since then have experienced poor battery life. Is there any way to revert back to ICS or am I stuck with Jellybean ?
Flash ics with Odin. Get firmware from sammobile.com but do stay well away from version 4.0.4 as this has brick bug

Click to collapse
Take the LPI Firmware. It is 4.0.3 and you have no BrickBug problems.
