Stock ROM needed (clean 2.1 or 2.2) - Samsung Galaxy 5 I5500

Ok, can someone post a .zip file of a stock 2.1 or 2.2 android ROM for i5500, europe baseband version? The links in this thread have expired http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=781149
I can't find it anywhere, and i can't flash via odin, because somehow it doesn't recognize my device when i enter the download mode and connect it with USB. It just keeps saying "connect phone" which i did of course.
Other than that, the phone works ok, USB works ok.
What could be the problem? Anyone has a better idea ?
I had 2.2 froyo with CM 7.1 and 5.0.26 recovery for a long time, and now i recently upgraded with no problems to the latest 10.1 CM with 6.0.12 recovery (4.1.2 android), but i am very frustrated with the performance issues.
The memory is always full, so i need the stock 2.1 or 2.2 ROM back.
So, the only option to install ROM it seems is via MAD Manager app which i used to install 10.1 CM.
EDIT: OK, i just read in another post that the drivers dont work in Win 8 pro 64bit, which i am using now. I will try with win7 64bit also...

[Q] No more recovery after CM 10.2. How to get back a recovery and CM 10.1?

Hi forum,
I rooted my S2 a year ago and did happily CM 10.1 updates all the time. Everything just fine.
Then 10.2 came out and I gave that a try. One of the first ones did boot but had several issues (phone app missing, no connection to Play Store, etc). I decided to do updates via CM updater. Now I am stuck with nightly from August 24th. The problem then was that I couldn't access the CWM recovery any more and hence the CM Updater. Thus I tried to flash it again with Odin. So I can boot into Odin mode and Odin recognizes the device. I tried flashing several clockworkmods to no avail. Odin hangs for ever if it comes to the actual writing.
After that the phone did not start any more but stayed in that Firmware update encountered an issue screen. I used heimdall and flashed CWM with that. That looked better and then the phone started (somehow after many attempts) again but still no recovery.
Next I installed the latest Dorimanx Kernel with Odin. So that worked. Now the phone starts reliable again but no matter what I try there is no reccovery.
ROM Manager doesn't even start btw.
What I want now is of course a working recovery. At best CWM. Then back to CM 10.1. But how?
I read a lot here and elsewhere but everything I tried just didn't work.
Thanks for help!
Cheers,
blitz-gordon
you used Odin and Heimdall on same PC?!
ROM manager is bad for s2 and could cause bootloops. Don't use it
i suggest that you flash stock rom with odin. and then you'll have to root ur s2 again

Yep, Ubuntu 12.04 and XP as a VM. I used heimdall on another PC though.
I know that ROM Manager is not choice number one. That was more a test which failed anyway.
Well, I thougth I could get away easier.
Thanx!
For the records.
I de-rooted the device by putting a stock image on it. Then I rooted it again and now it runs the latest CM, woohoo!
If somebody wants details I can provide a short howto.

[Q] Help: After Upgrade from Cyanogen 10.2 to 11 constantly booting into TWRP

Hi i kind of bricked my Mediapad 7 when tring to update Cyangen 10.2 to Cyangen 11. Need some help how to proceed.
First i booted into TWRP and tried to install the file
S7-301u V100R002C232B005 ICS Android 4.0.3 General Version.zip
to go back from Cyano 10.2 to stock rom 4.0.3. But this failed.
So i directly installed
cm-11-20140118-UNOFFICIAL-hws7300u.zip
Installation went OK. No, i didn't do a backup of the installed 10.2.
After reboot, the device is not booting but always going back to TWRP. What can i do?
What i tried in TWRP so far:
Reinstalling cm-11-20140118-UNOFFICIAL-hws7300u.zip
Reinstalling cm-10.1-20130526-UNOFFICIAL-hws7300u.zip
Wipe Cache
Factory Reset
Nothing helps. Always booting into TWRP v2.3.2.3 :crying:
Thanx for any help how to resolve this!
Forgot: During install of firmware there is a log-line:
E. Unknown File System: 'datamedia'
no slash between data and media
Solved
Solved it.
- Went back to stock recovery with "Auto_recovery_installer_for_huawei_mediapad"
- installed 4.0.3
- then installes cyanogen 11 with twrp

I had the problem of not being able to reinstall a stock rom as well.
How EXACTLY did you do it for the stock one?
I've also found out from a CM developer that stock roms can't be installed with the custom recoveries like TWRP or CWM.
Which is a nice thing to know since there doesn't seem to be any info on the forums about that.

[Q] update from stock gingerbread 2.3.5 to kitkat cm-11-m8

Hello,
I've read random threads for the entire day but I'm a bit confused about how to proceed.
cm wiki requires the phone to have stock ICS
I remember something about the baseband, using russian Windows tools to update
I don't have Windows
I'm running osx 10.9.4.
What should I do? I'm also afraid of the superbrick bug.
What I've done:
got root with zergRush
tried to install CWM through ROM Manager, got custom recovery 2.5.1.2 (useless? very old?) but can't boot into recovery, first error was something about signature, when rebooting with volume up+home+power I get "can't access to system/csc/hui/system" instead
I tried then updating stock fw with kies for osx; i was stuck in "connecting" forever
tried installing kies in a windows vm; it couldn't even see the phone and failed to recognize it as a media device
What I know:
I can probably obtain a temporary cwm 6.* (supposed to be not affected by superbrick bug) by loading a zip through stock recovery mode
What I would like:
finally get KK
avoid windows
avoid heimdall; i have bad experience and could never compile it, months ago
avoid yellow triangle
BUT
If heimdall is now a working software and It solves everything (baseband included) by running a one line command, it is a welcomed solution.
Thank you!
p.s. hope I'm in the right forum section
You have really old recovery.
If you want to get newest recovery and avoid windows and have root as you said use Mobile Odin pro to flash the newest CWM (6.0.4.5 I think) and afhter that flash CM via new recovery
I don't know why ROM manager installed something so old.
I thought about Mobile Odin. Does it fix the baseband problem?
ROM managers etc. is balast which made a lot of problems. Don´t be lazy and flash manully

Problems flashing new ROM to PT7510 Galaxy Tab

I've beeen trying to update the version of android on my old Galaxy Tab 10.1 PT7510 (wifi). I've had some success but hoping someone can help me further.
I didn't take a system back up before I tried this so I've nothing to restore to.....
I have got Odin 3.x working and can successfully use this with the tablet
I've got CWM v5.8.3.1 installed on the tablet and working
I've got:
Samsung_Galaxy_Tab_10_1_root.zip (I thought this is the ICS standard version)
AOSP-7.1-p4wifi-2017105.zip (planned upgrade OS) and the equivalent Gapps zip in the sdcard folder
Whenever I try to install the root.zip version the tablet reboots into CWM mode
The AOSP.zip doesn't seem to work
I think this might be because I didn't do something with SuperUser as I didn't understand what to do in the instructions I was following.
I've tried to reflash(?) the bootloader using Odin with the original file but no joy.
I feel close to sorting this but need some help to work out what to do.
Any help greatly appreciated

Laptop not recognizing SM-T815Y/Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 9.7 LTE.

Hello XDA,
Recently I have been customizing my tab a lot and I had wiped its original system which was Android 7.0 (Nougat) [STOCK] and installed LineageOS 17.1 [Unofficial build] For SM-T Variants, which worked out fine, but battery drain and graphics were an issue now. So I thought HavocOS 3.x [Unofficial build] For SM-T Variants would work, but the battery drain and graphics problem except battery drained faster. Now I accidently wiped off everything.
RECOVERY STILL WORKS I can boot into download mode but Odin still doesn't recognize it. So Download mode is a no-go. I don't know what adb-sideload is though I know adb commands a bit.
I have downloaded the firmware but you do know Odin isn't recognizing it.
If you Know anything that might help me I would be pleased and would love to read it.
Thank You.
BTW, I have written the title such that so if you know any ways to transfer files from pc to tab than I could fix my tab by -
i-) Importing The LineageOS ROM
ii-) Flashing
iii-) PC *RECOGNIZES* Tab.
iv-) Flash Stock ROM
Good and Bad NEWZ.
Good NEWZ = I got the rom from my pc to my tab using sd card.
BAD NEWZ = I CAN'T FLASH IT!!! When I try to Install rom.zip, TWRP just auto-reboots, what do I do?
I fixed the prob. I just f;ashed a newer version of twrp and it worked!
But my lappy still not recognising my tab I want to flash stock firmware not a custom rom
