only thing it misses is the call recording key on dialer, now i am looking to shift to jb rom, kindly advise which rom will suit me more having navigation bar is a must. i have tried biftor but its navigation bar size blocks the dialer button.
kindly advice me with ur expertise. i would prefer the rom having battery with maximum screen on time.

The title says it. I like Samsung based Rom for it's rich icons, S Pen and S Memo and I Iike the navigation bar from cm9 and aokp based roms. Since I can't find such a rom or I have missed it, I'm using LiquidSmooth now, which is a great rom with Navigation Bar.
Hope someone can give me some information or link to making this possible. Thanks.

So far, no response. Anyway, I found a solution to get the ICS recent apps and home button using Button Savior and Task Changer Titanium, in case someone is interested. Now, I can use Samsung based rom and even add on Samsung Chinese keyboard if necessary. Now using a lite version rom based on Alba's full rom.

Hello all,
i'm currently in GB with my I9100P and i would like to upgrade to ICS.
I'm seraching a rom which don't look like android base ICS or iphone like so i don't want CM9 and MIUI.
I like samsung interface so i was looking in Rom samsung base.
But i don't know which is the best.
I want a stable rom with no bugs, i need a rom with brightness adjustment by pressing the notif bar. I would like also the option to view multitasking app in the notif bar.
have you a rom to suggest me ?
THX
I finally install the VK 5.4.4 rom which is very good but have some repetitive crash with application.
So now i'm only looking for a rom based on samsung ICS 4.0.4 which have the recents app buton in status bar and if possible the brigthness ajdjustment by pressing the status bar as was in Gingerbread

did you perform a Factory reset? If not , then do it now.
Ps: Never ask for best/stable Rom. Never!
Always read the forum rules!
sorry
I did a full wipe before installing the rom...
when i said crash i means application crash not phone crash, only freeze.
also sometime the flashlight turn on without any reason when i wake up the phone.
that's why i'm looking for another rom.

The ROM you flashed is not supported again on XDA.
There are many good ROMs out there for our phone
You can try anyone you want. If you don't like any ROM, just like the one you are presently using, then flash another one.
If you are looking for another ROM, then look under the two development sections. There is no need to ask for the best or stable ROM.
Of course, sorry again but i have already see the rom development section but i don't see any information about a shortcut to access to recents app in the status bar or pressing the status bar to adjust the brightness. That's why i'm asking you...

Samsung removed the status brightness function in ICS 4.0.4 firmware.
Therefore, any ROM based on stock ICS 4.0.4 firmware will lack the function.
If you really want this function, then download ICS 4.0.3 custom ROMs.
There is an app BRIGHTNESS WIDGET (I'm not sure about the name again, but you can search in playstore), which can serve the same purpose.
Ah ok, so is there any other rom which have a shortcut to access to recents app in the status bar?
Thanks

I don't know.
Go through the first page of each Stock based ROM of your choice, then check out their features. this is your job!

Hello everyone, I have been searching a lot to change the behaviour of the menu button to remap it to do the recent app switch, I'm using aokp milestone 2 and I don't plan to use another rom, either they have bad battery life or don't work as I expected, every thread I had read was about cm 9 and didn't work how it should be, the most I have achieved was to change the button to the now old app switch from gingerbread, is there something I'm missing. I hope someone can help me, thanks in advance.
Is there not an aokp thread to post in? Would get better response there

Only time I've seen nav bar come up on a stock ROM is DPI change.
I didnt change the dpi... I try all the settings to be factory...like flashing the stock rom and kernel... format the emmc... cache...data... :/ dont know what to do... maybe downgrade to gingerbread ??? and then flash jb again ?!
well I think I found smt... I notice that the bar is exactly the same ... with the bar of opera mobile classic browser that im using....
To turn on and off nav bar in stock is..
In system/build.prop
Add the line
Qemu.hw.mainkeys=0
To remove is..
/system/usr/layout/generic.kl
Home is key 172
Back is key 158
Menu is key 139
To disable the keys put a # before any you don't want to use.
well thank you my friend.... i did it but nothing... !
As i said before its not the nav bar... :/ the bar is the exactly the same as the bar of (opera mobile classic)... i unninstal the opera but nothing... !
Flash stock with Odin.
I already did that... nothing happend...
