Always make a nandroid backup before flashing anything including this theme
Aroma installer is known to occasionally freeze on the DNA, you know its finished when it asks you to reboot
Download AospDNA v3 (If using TWRP please flash TWRP version with zip signature checking disabled)
Reboot Recovery
Flash AospDNAv3.zip
Follow On Screen Instructions
Install Skin (it's been updated so dont forget to reinstall it if you already have it installed)
Reboot
Go to Settings, personalize, apply Aosp DNA skin
If you only want to install a specific mod make sure you select "no thanks keep me stock" for anything you don't want to install or have already installed
I implemented the vrtheme engine so you can install any of the mods and still keep the stock look, and if you have already installed the theme you can flash it again to choose a different mod without having to reinstall the entire theme
I recommend using a different launcher than Rosie (Nova, Apex, etc...) for the full Aosp look as well as using the Aosp lockscreen

Bugs
SystemUI will forceclose a couple times on fullscreen apps, YouTube etc... This is most likely due to the relocation of the carrier ID and can be fixed but at the expense of the statusbar handle themeing and the location of the carrier ID on the pulldown. (Looking into a fix)
Expanded notifications will show the blue square even when expanded, It'll run the height of the notification. (This might not be fixable because of the way sense is set up)
Expanded notifications spacing is off between them and regular notifications (Working on a fix)
WiFi Icon covers network Icon (This might not be fixable because the way sense is setup)

I just tested out temple run 2 and navigation with no force closes the only ones I've experienced with personally is YouTube when its rotated, it will fc twice then you can watch the videos just fine, and the aosp alarm clock when the alarm goes off it'll fc so I'm not entirely sure what specifically fc I assumed it was all full screen apps but it doesn't appear that way

Tried this on the 320dpi ROM, but the notification bar and icons stayed the same. The pull-down's theme wasn't the right dimensions such as the blue square behind the icon stretched to the right under some of the text. I'm looking to see if this is a problem with the ROM itself. Regular non-320dpi ROM worked much better, thanks.

I believe if you just delete (or uninstall through TiBu) the HTC lockscreen apk then reboot you should have the aosp locksreen with Rosie launcher. You may want to backup the HTC lockscreen apk just in case

No, Sense widgets are only compatible with the Sense launcher

Unfortunately, 320dpi doesn't work at all. But I can deal with that until you may be able to get things working. As much as I love tablet UI, the black status bar and aosp pulldown are so much better than the nasty great base of sense. Thank you so much and great job.

Did you make a nandroid backup before flashing? I forgot to mention that in the op, if not you should be able to dirty flash the Rom again to revert (flash without wiping data, cache etc...)

Thats what I figured. Thanks man. The lockscreen mod doesnt play well with the theme so I have to go back and reflash so I get the AOSP lockscreen and get rid of the mod.

Is there any way to get 5 icons in the dock? I know about other launchers and tw 4.5 but I like how smooth the og tw is and the Widgets. When I flash the tw 5 icon dock package in the themes forum here I lose the app drawer icon.

If you can link me to the launcher I can change it and put it up as an add-on
So running unnamed 2.2.1 and I installed this twice w/cwm and both times got stuck in a bootloop. Wiped cache and davlik prior to installation. I already had the ics dialer installed on this phone. Do you have some install instructions/ideas what might have gone wrong here? Anyone else getting stuck in a bootloop when you install this?

Weird, are you running any other mods? Its seems that a lot of people already downloaded this but never posted in the thread on whether it worked or not. I guess that is a good thing? Maybe?

I am running the 5 icon dock mod people mentioned earlier, a battery meter mod, the original ICS dialer mod. In addition I've modified the lock screen with ninjamorph, changed the default font with font installer app and changed the boot animation with boot animation utility. I'm sure one of these things is conflicting with it and causing the problem but just not sure which one and I don't want to start back at base unnamed 2.2.1.
I am running your other ICS theme that you made to run on unnamed 2.21. Do I have to uninstall that before I can install this theme to avoid a bootloop or will this just install right over it and add to the existing theme I have installed?

Theme update posted.
I've included the newest Apex launcher that was released today. Make sure you don't have any updates to the launcher installed from the market if you want the themed version.
I also added in a percent battery that I custom made. You can see an example in the icon previews screenshot. The original non-percent battery can be found in post 3 if you fancy that.
Not sure what I'm doing wrong, but I flashed in rom manager and when it reboots, it says Android is updating.... Then a black screen. Have to remove battery and reflash the rom to get it to boot

Anyway to post the red honeycomb battery not a big fan of the vertical battery style... All else is kick a$$... I also am using nova launcher with a red mod I found lurking about

Mine is doing the same thing. I reflashed twice. Any idea what causes this?
EDIT: I think my Apex had updates installed. I think this theme removed Apex and since there is no Sense UI, there is now no UI on the phone. I am going to reflash CR DE 1.4 and then flash this theme. MAKE SURE APEX IS THE ORIGINAL VERSION THAT CR DE CAME WITH lol
THIS THEME IS NO LONGER IN DEVELOPMENT!
The aim of this project was to remove Sense and provide a clean UI until stable pure-Android ROMs were released. We have now reached that point and I find that it is no longer necessary to continue the development of a theme that only removes ugly from a bloated skin. I urge you to consider giving these ROMs a try and bid farewell to Sense (awesome hardware paired with awesome software is bliss).
However, I understand that some people will always prefer Sense, and that is okay. This is why I will provide the community with a zip of the raw files I was working on in case someone wants to take over the project. Please do NOT reply to this thread.

፨ INTRODUCTION ፨
I don't like Sense.
I used to. In Gingerbread it kind of did spice up the UI and even now some of its non visual features are still useful. But when ICS came out, I believe it rendered Sense UI moot. ICS, to me, is the most beautiful mobile UI design to date and while I like HTC hardware, I can't stand their software. Unfortunately, for now we can either flash a AOSP ROM with some things broken or are stuck with nasty gradient Sense. Well. That ends today.
This mod aims to replace as much of the Sense UI with stock ICS as possible. It will take some time to get it complete but I want to put up the progress as I do it here so everyone can benefit and have a little bit less Sense on their phones with every update. As a matter of fact, we might even have a full working ICS/JB stock build before I ever get this to the point I want to get it at.
The theme is not completed. Look at the changelog for more details.

Before we get into the screenshots and the download itself, please keep in mind the following:
As cliche as this is: Anything you do to your phone is your OWN responsibility. No one will be responsible for any damage you cause but yourself.
This is my first major modification, there will be bugs and errors. Please point them out if you see them and I will get them fixed
Some things (like the data icon (3G, 4G) won't look like they do in stock ICS because of the way Sense messes with those icons. But it's replacement will carry on the spirit of stock.
This theme is intended to be used with a third party ICS-like launcher (like Nova or Apex). I will not be theming Rosie (the default Sense launcher).

Make nandroid backup.
Place zip on SD card
Flash through recovery
When you boot, open up Personalize app and choose deSensed ICS under Skin.
Have less gradients
(optional) If you want to keep Sense lockscreen, download and flash this AFTER you install the theme.
፨ RECOMMENDED APPS ፨
These are AOSP applications that have been ported to work on our phones. I will not theme the Sense apps whose replacements below work perfectly.
Jellybean Calendar by Tim Hutt. -- Everything works.
Stock Settings by Art2Fly -- Everything works (as is in stock ICS, you will lose Profile/PRL manual updates. Keep Sprint Zone and update through there).
፨ FAQ ፨
Q: I flashed this and the HTC lockscreen is gone! Can I get it back?
A: Yes. All my mod did is rename the HTC lockscreen file. Go to /system/app/ and rename HtcLockScreen.apk.bak to HtcLockScreen.apk reboot and you'll have Sense's lockscreen back. Or download and flash this.
Q: Can you do X, Y or Z?
A: At the moment, I won't do any "special" request. I want to get the entire stock ICS theme in and THEN I'll do extra stuff (like battery % and such). That being said, if you have any part of stock ICS that you want "prioritized" just post and I'll see what I can do
Q: The ROM I use is not supported, what gives?
A: Due to the fact that we have such awesome devs and so many ROMs, it is impossible for me to support them all. Download the generic file that will work with any ROM or if you don't mind losing some tweaks done by your dev, flash another ROMs zip file. I wish I could go back to supporting all ROMs through the villaintheme system but it currently has an issue with the framework-res file. If you know how to fix it, please drop a PM.
Q: I'm running Viper4G but my notification bar isn't transparent and my clock text color is white, why?
A: Viper4G uses its own tweaks to accomplish this. Just launch Venom Tweaks > Status and you can chage the pulldown background transparency and clock color. The hex value I used for the previous releases is #33B5E5 (default ICS color).

The quick selection bar (when you select text and cut, copy and paste come up) currently has a background. Can't fix this until we can edit m10 images. Here's a picture of how it is vs how it should be:

It will work but Charmeleom mod is one of the ROMs that most heavily modifies system files. You can do a nandroid and flash it that way you can just restore if you prefer Charmeleon's tweaks better.
Once this is in a more completed stage I might make it available universally.

Yeah I pulled mine from ViperROM that was updated a while back. If you or anyone else wants to pull the newer quick settings I'll cook them into the theme so we can all have the latest one
Also, I should finish all the status icons by tonight (have alarm, airplane mode, gps and a few others already done). I have to decide what to do about the heaphones icon and do a few more and it'll be done, I work first though :\

I heard of a way to possibly make the theme universal without it overwriting anything if I can accomplish it tonight everyone will be able to enjoy it without worry.

Hi Everyone. I am very excited to post this thread as I have been spending a great deal of time wrapping all of my magic in to one mass customizable theme. So I present:
THE ULTIMATE REAL ICON THEME v7
FULLY CUSTOMIZABLE!
This theme uses both aroma and vrtheming for the installer making it rom independent. The only complete apk's that are included are google apps which are common on all roms. I have not tested it on all roms so please leave feedback on whatever setups you test it on.
It has not been tested on TWRP yet but it does work on CWM. Some of the customizations may not show through other skins or themes that are applied so the best results will come from a fresh load. It is important you make a nandroid before installing so you can back out if you are not satisfied.
Aroma installers have been known to have problems on the dna where they freeze up or reboot. If the installer did not make it to the last screen that WAITS for you to click reboot, then it didnt finish and you will need to reinstall.
This theme is in its early stages as far as the number of current apk's that are done. The customizable colors all exist so there is plenty to play with. Try as many combinations as you want.

The percent will only work if the dev has the mod in his Rom. And it has to be the hires mod, not the uot kitchen one. I think only ukb has it right now.

yeah, thats it just let me know when theres updates to add to it as you go
just need for now (cuz i can download and upload what you have to our ftp) is a brief description of the theme (can be 2-3 sentences or less)
an icon for theme (144x144 or as low res as 100x100) to show in the hub navigation
and a screenshot of the theme for preview (480x800 is good)
and i can add your paypal link onto the theme preview page as well

Battery isn't working on viperDNA. Battery is 78% but icon is showing 80%. When installing I picked the option for "if phone has 1% increments"

This is my first time doing a universal theme, there are MANY things to keep in mind.
1. Flashing this will vary with every rom, why?
- Every rom is built differently, for example Beans has many XML edits to make the text blue therefore on some roms your text will be stock.
- There can also be edits done to XML's to point to certain images, if you flash this on a rom and it doesnt look like the below images, thats why.
2. VERY important if you guys want this as complete as possible.
-VRThemes work by finding your APK and then extracting the images into its place. For example if you have Gmail.apk in data/app and I have the Gmail app named, "com.google.android.gm-1.apk" then the theme will not apply. Some roms will have some APK's named differently. If you come across something that isnt themed, simply use ES File Explorer and find the proper name for your .APK (usually located in system/app) and PM me with the APK's name and what rom you are using.

Fixed the "in-call" banner to be blue instead of green. This only works for Clean ROM SE 3.1.
Removed lock pad from the lockscreen.
All carrier signal bar and 1X, 3G, 4G are themed. I dont know if I already did that in the last update but yeah.
Aroma is now ICS blue . Looks neat.
5/21/2013 - Added Blue and White clock color options. Revamped the, "mods" menu. Changed the toggle icons for the stock Samsung toggles and lidroid toggles. Themed more white and blue 1X, 3G, 4G icons for other carrier's and international roms.
5/16/2013 - Fixed the Gmail problem, it works perfectly now. Added a selection for white status bar icons! Added the default Elegant wallpaper. 146 S-Pen hover icons and 33 sounds to pick from.
Added Clean ROM SE 3.1 mods. You can pick from:
100% Increment batteries with 13 blue batteries and 8 white batteries.
Carrier logos with 36 different options.
100% and 50% transparent statusbar. (DONT USE 100% STATUSBAR TRANSPARENCY WITH WHITE STATUSBAR ICONS BECAUSE SOME APPS WILL MAKE THE STATUS BAR WHITE.)
4/26/2013 - All I did is fix something in Aroma and themed the in-call statusbar mute icon.
4/23/2013 - I've added Aroma! You can pick between stock battery and 1% increment battery (this varys by YOUR ROM.) Added a themed loading icon, fixed the "in-call" icons to better match the rest of the theme, themed all icons to the right hand side of the status bar to ICS blue. If you notice something isn't themed PLEASE let me know.

Sounds like a good idea but im currently working on a new project. Sorry man . Im making my own theme from scratch, maybe you guys will see it sometime in the future .
