Whenever I use 2g mode on my Xperia P, the touchscreen freezes(Device working in background) and lefts me with no other option than to restart the device.
If I set network to both 2g and 3g mode, while the device shifts from 3g to 2g it freezes again, and if it changes to 3g freezing disappears..
I am forced to be on 3g network. Which is useless for me and eats up battery..
Is their any fix for this 2g touchscreen freezing problem..

It is laggish some times, it is through contract (Vodafone Romania), and I don't see the newer update. How can I force-install it?
LE: found some methods like flashing the tft with flashtool, or changing de SI code to match a country that has received the update then run PCC/SUS to update

Hi forum.
Strange problem.
My Xperia S has started to FC the standard Sony launcher here this morning.
Theonly way i could solve it was to flash new firmware (even thoug i allready had the newest firmware)
Hey i thought maybe a faulty apk from marked or something...
NOW the strange part...
Just now my wifes Xperia S are now doing EXACTLY the same...
Her phone have nothing installed from marked at all !!
The phones are both bought on the same day (but one is white and one black, so proberbly different batch), and they have both been updated to the .73 firmware about 14 days ago...
- and they are both never turned off...
This bug have to be related to the firmware somehow or what do you think ??
It is really strange...
I have tried to turn my phone off, but that didnĀ“t help...
The only thing that worked was to flash new firmware with seus...
BTW:
The phones are NOT rooted or bootloader unlocked...
Well it would seem that you already have a solution to your problem.
Flash away my good man....... Flash away.

Have you tried clearing cache/data of Xperia Home?

This is also happening to me intermittently.
Even when I was on ICS (no root).
I rooted my SXS (locked bootloader) and it's still the same.
Badly need help.

Like the topic title says.
Wi-fi really sucks and I tried about everything, except downgrade it again to the 182 software.
How must it be done ?
Thanks.
Flash it with FlashTool

I prefer not to root the phone.
You don't need root to use flashtool
Sent from my ST25i using xda app-developers app
Ok thx will check it out.
Any tutorial somewhere maybe ?
1.Download the firmaware .ftf file
2.Copy ftf to flashtool/firmwares
3.Load flash tool and click on the tap with the black lightning and select flashmode n press ok
4.Select the ftf file and tick no final verification then click ok
5.turn off your phone and hold volume down key and plug in usb cable
6.then let flash tool instal
And you can tick/untick to not wipe your fone if you've not already done it

Yeah, it worked, downgraded the phone. Thanks a lot guys.
However it did not solve the problem.. Wi-Fi still slow as f*ck even though the signal bars are perfect.
My Nexus gets excellent wi-fi speeds here at home connected to the same device (the X-U is my girlfriends), no idea what is causing this problem.. It's doing my head in and I'm afraid if I go to the shop where we bought it they will not be able to do much more than what I tried already (Factory reset, firmware downgrade, download internet/mms settings, disable auto-sync, repair with update center, etc etc..)
You should be getting ics in a week or two so worth waiting for that
Sent from my LT26i using Tapatalk 2
Hoping that will do the trick. I fear the worst though seeing with the old firmware and also the newest (the 184 one) the wi-fi is poor. Unless it really is a Gingerbread thing but I doubt it.
Switch out your phone for another model or wait for ICS release which 'may' resolve your WiFi woes... By slow do you mean downloads/torrent speed slow or slow loading web pages/online App requests?

Everything goes slow. Occasionally its ok. It's definitely the phone as other devices such as my Nexus, laptop etc never have drops in speed.

Yea I'm happy to heard that and I have never experience this issue on my p-hone
I updated my phone to ICS (lastest relased from sony on 8th Sept.) and getting problem of restarting while turning on bluetooth.
After updating your phone to ICS, initially nothing will happen to your phone using bluetooth drastically but problem starts occuring after the usage of 1-2 days.
As u will turn your bluetooth on, phone will keep on restarting.
Any solution to this?
Note : Some victims believe it to be a problem of bootloop but as far as my knowledge is concerned bootloop starts with Sony logo and ends at half of walkman animation. But in my case and all others problem is of restarting where hu starts from sony logo and ends at the littlest show of home screen....
Reply as fast as possible guys.

there is a bluetooth fix app on play store..
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.phk.bluetoothfixrepair&hl=en
the only thing u need is root..and thats easy..u just have to search..
Can you tell me or explain me in detail that what does that app actually do? Because the description written there was - developer gives only one credit that can be used only once to fix the prblm. So I don't want to waste my that one credit because I don't have credit card to purchase some more of them.... Thanks in advance...
