Hello there People! I got a Razr XT910 with stock ICS ....Im rooted and have Safestrap CWM. Now i've flashed many GSM roms using safestrap, but most of them bluetooth doesnt work (i use it all the time) or GPS has problems (i use it all the time too). i was wondering if its really worth it to flash a CDMA Rom on my GSM phone using the GSM patch. Any rom that you guys can recommend? will it have all funcionality? Thanks a lot in advance guys!
Flash D-wiz rom
hey there,
If you use xt910 you should use the D-wiz ROM by dtrail
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1964792
Its very fast and stable.
Developer is very active.
I have dual booted this rom with Boot menu manager(BMM).
And everything is working even bluetooth, flash, camer & video.
Good luck mate with this ROM.
cheers

Hi there man! i just tested the ROM....it works great, but no bluetooth headset and camera flash...how did you made this work?? Thanks in advance!
Hey marcomir,
Great that you have this ROM. Flash works in mine. You can use the temporary fix by installing camera app from "update me" app.
About Bluetooth headset never used it but the file transfers are working perfectly.
What about your kernel.? Dtrail says the ROM works best on EU kernel. I am planning to flash the kernel this week.
Cheers

It looks really great! Got battery drain but i've read that is has something to do with the kernel, im using LATAM...bluetooth headset doesnt work at least on my phone...the UPDATE ME app is a paid one, unless i contribute i cant do anything... I'll try flashing kernel today or tomorrow..do you know the PROS and CONS for doing that? Will it damage or change on my stock system? Thanks a lot man!! You're very kind!

Hello marcomir,
For battery drain it can be a kernel issue but it also said that you should use it around 1 week for battery calibration.
For flashing kernel, you could wait few days as Dtrail is releasing new ROM based on JB kernel.
"updateMe" is free app(I guess) as I am using it without any donation.
Lets wait few days and try out the new ROM. I will also be flashing the kernel soon.

I have Tmobile moto Defy mb525, I tried to get rid of the tmobile logo, I used superoneclick and it works fine, super user then rom manager but i did not find moto defy so i used system recovery, i tried to update it form zip file but the device hangs, after many tries the phone dies, now i installed another tmobile rom and it works again
and this is the new infos, the question can i install any other roms or tmobile rom is my destiny?
Yes, you can. Just update to 3.4.2-155 for Barebones, Xd1, JBoogie3 LiquidArc/BluelessGinger or 3.4.3-11 for Pays 5.1.
But i don't know if you can go back to stock 2.1, if you already has flashed a full SBF.
Thanks for your help, no prb if I cannot downgrade it

Rite now ur on which ROM?
MIUI has too much BUGs right now, CM7 is the best ROM for Defy.
BUT, with time, i think MIUI can be the most used, since they do a great job modding, theming, and developing their own apps.
CM7 has bugs regarding wifi and brightness. I'm currently on 177-005 nordic with Defy Cool&Clean MOD by trinacre, and I must say it's quite fast and stable. Scored a 1250 on Quadrant.
Hey Guys,
Here is a MIUI v4 build based on the ICS BETA ROM from Sony!
All credits for the BETA go to Sony, Atarii, DooMLoRD, nickholtus, KeiranFTW and DJ_Steve
Download here: http://www.mediafire.com/?9v416zly9u6778u
See this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1524159
Everything that is wrong with that ROM is wrong with this one plus a lot more at the moment.
Use one of the kernels from that thread to get it booted, please note it takes a while!
Make sure to wipe EVERYTHING before installing.
You should use -64 baseband and flash after a fresh install of .62 stock firmware.
I will work on this further when I come back on Monday.
vuhuu im waiting i will be first tester
Its up, enjoy!
Reserved for screenshots, my impression and saying thank you.
unfortunately still does not recognize sim card
oh.. will try this out...

Just thought I would say, you have done well becoming a developer starting from nowhere
I found that kernel v3 was the only one which worked for me, beautiful looking software <3 MIUI. Couldnt get to the settings menu though to fix the graphical glitches :/ so i had to go back to ICX beta.
Media programs do not work, just crash everytime you do anything.
But keep up the good work mate

If rom works with v3 kernel; Can we use v3 kernel and this rom with old v4 media apps? (From other thread)
Hello everyone,
I have recently rooted my SGS2
using CF root.
Replace the Stock kernal with siyah 4.1.5
Then currently i am on stock ROM
slimICS.
HOw to keep the thread alive....
share your experience of Custom ROM which you are using.
Pros and Cons of the ROM...
Report any Bug..
We can then submit the issue to corresponding Thread or developer..
It is really your choice when it comes to deciding on a ROM.
A few things to consider, the JB 4.1.1 ROMs are available but not stable yet. So if you want to try the latest and greatest and don't mind the odd crash and random reboot it allows you the opportunity to report back your findings and assist in that way with development.
If stability is your concern, then you certainly want to go with an ICS ROM. CM9 is pretty stable as a recommendation.
As you mentioned earlier you could also dual boot to experience both. Just a few pros and cons for you to help in decision.
Let us know if we can be of further assistance.

Theres no limit to the number of ROMs you flash in a day
Only make sure your battery is above 60% atleast before you flash a ROM, or anything for that matter.

Hey Manubr,
few dayz back i was also having the same question
should i try JB too ??..
ok so here is the answer.
JB ROMs are not stable since it has some memory leak issue.
It wil not be resolved till Samsung officially launch JB for SGS2.(will have to wait for stable version)
But CM10 team is trying to resolve infact minimize the issue and get the best JB ROM...
you can check there 30 sep nightly build...
Which i have installed it...
I m having SlimICS ROM1

Hi.
I need some help with this ROM (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1846760) because when I install it with the normal kernel I have problems with the WiFi and so, as it is written in the thread, I flash the kernel that fixes the problems, the only problem is that the ROM becomes very unstable.
So, with the normal kernel the ROM is fast and stable, but has the WiFi problem. With the kernel that fixes the WiFi the WiFi works just fine but the ROM becomes very unstable and is always rebooting.
Can you suggest me another kernel or another ROM. I like this one because it is very clean and fast.
Thanks for your attetion.:good:

On the fixed kernel, the kernel may not suitable with the rom.

Hi all, As I said, here comes the first version of android 4.3 for the x10. This is based on the evervolv ROM.
The binaries can be found in evervolv 4.3 folder.
https://www.wuala.com/CMX10-Releases/?key=CMX10Team
BUGS
NO CWM delivered with kernel
NO CHARGEMON
The WLOD that because famous with android 4.3
Maybe a lot more.
Install
Copy ROM on your SD card.
Wipe Data and Cache
Get into CWM and install ROM.
Flash the kernel.ftf using flashtool
This is an early version, I might not have time to work on it a lot. If someone wants the sources before their released, PM me.
Scritch
PS: Forgot the little disclaimer.
No warranty about this. I can't be blamed if somethings goes wrong or if phone is damaged. Use at your own risk.

There's some pretty cool version of JB. The CM10 now has every thing except hardware video encoding/decoding. Everything else is working nicely.
CM10.1 and Everolv 4.2 and 4.3 have an issue with the kernel. But I can't manage to fix it. So we've been working on newer kernel, 2.6.32 but it has a camera issue. And we're trying to port a newer kernel, but it's not that easy.
