I have been using this phone with base ROM and have tried other ROMs plus going back to stock. The WiFi is now disconnecting about every 15 mins of use and forces me to turn it off and then back on. It starts working again.
When I restart my phone each time the auto brightness reverts to full brightness each time. It never remembers my last setting. What gives?
I have reflashed, wiped and reinstalled several times and no difference. I'm hoping that it is not a hardware defect now. ;(

Problem seems to have been resolved. I used full format wipe in twrp of the internal storage then installed the stock rom and auto brightness is now working....:victory:

Running Evil Fascinate 6.0 with PB&J-50. Had been running near flawlessly for a few weeks. Yesterday I lost auto-rotate. The screen just won't rotate, regardless of setting. Also, Screebl Pro, which keeps the screen on when the phone is not lying down, stopped working. I tried fixing permissions with yellow, then red CWR. Tried clearing cache and dalvic. Tried re-running the zip of PB&J kernel. Nothing helped.
Anyone have any ideas?

For rotation issues, idk if it'll fix that app, but for rotation delete m3c_Yamaha.cfg from /data/system and the toggle auto rotation.

Thanks gritting the yamaha file fixed it!
Thanks times_infinity. I ended up using this as an excuse to try Com Rom 2, which I like so far and the problems are gone.

OK, my auto-rotate and Screebl have gone out again, this time on Com Rom 2. Times_Infinity, I can't find the m3c_Yamaha.cfg file. My data folder is empty. I found 3 files in system/bin:
sensorcalibutil_yamaha
sensorserver_yahama
sensorstatutil_yamaha
Can you please advise?
Ok, got it fixed using above advice. I was using wrong program to find the yamaha sensor file-Root Explorer did the trick.

Is there a way to remove those files without having to be rooted?

Hi, I was having issues w my sg2 randomly rebooting so backed up my apps the wiped it and haven't had issues since but of course that leaves me app-less. Is there a way/app that I can log and see which app is rebooting my sg2?
Cheers

Easiest and best way would be to wipe everything and re-install your apps (I mean re-download and install, NOT restoring a backup since that's likely to cause FCs and reboots)
Recently I have had the same issue my phone randomly rebooting. Have noticed it only happens when I come back from work. Never happened while I was out, the only thing I can think of is reconnecting to my home wifi.
Will need to do more test to see if that is the case thou.
Sent from my GT-I9100 using Tapatalk
An app shouldn't be able to make your phone reboot (at least, a non-root app). The most common cause of random reboots is bad OC/UV settings. If you're running at stock clocks and voltages, on stock ROM/kernel, then you almost certainly have a hardware problem and should try to get a warranty repair if you can.
Dolphin HD has always been the cause in my experience.

There may be a crafty sneeky covert app causing the problem!! did you have any ninja games installed?
Well, my phone is rooted so that is a possibility (that maybe its s root app). I will focus on those

I have an external SD and have many apps on it. I was sure that all apps could move to SD. But had a random reboot.
Took out the SD card and the reboots disappear and as as soon as I put back the memory, it reoccurs again.
First I though it was the chip pushing against the battery and causing to reboot.
But after moving the apps back from SD to Phone (and many uninstalled) and reformat it, the reboots are gone.

Possibly Dolphin Hd, if you installed it.

I am on the Jokersax cm10. Have been for months. The wifi was working when I went to bed. I've tried rebooting. I've tried wiping my cache. I've tried reflashing my rom. I didn't change anything wifi related before bed. I've enabled and disabled airplane mode. I've disabled and reenabled wifi. This is a strange one. OH, and it will SCAN and find wifi networks (so the wifi isn't totally bad), but when I try to connect it always goes from "connecting" back to not being connected at all no matter what network I try. Also, the icon never shows up on the notification bar.
The last time I had the same problem I had to reboot the WiFi router.

More info, please. Are you completely stock, rooted, what ROM, have you applied any tweaks, have you used multiple ROM's without a good front-to-back wipe? Thanks.

Go to settings > power saver, and see what all your options are set to. I'll bet you've got it set to turn on at 100%, screen brightness and time out are probably set like you're seeing as well.
How has your battery life been? If poor, I'd suggest at least rooting so you can turn off fast-dormancy. With your current setup I can only suggest factory reset and starting over if the power saver feature isn't the issue and you want to stay rooted. Do you have any app installed that allows profiles? It's just weird that things would reset to those extremes. Sounds like something's set to some kind of performance profile for gaming or watching streaming videos, or the power saver settings were off.

Can't say only had the phone 2 days traded my S3 for it and since I have a 2nd phone the Optimus G isnt in use with only use it for wifi related things around the house I'ved already tried a factory reset once and not rooted either no profile type apps instealled but I do have power saver set to turn on at 20% but this happens even when the phone is on 100% everytime I power it off and back on my brightness and timeout go back to those settings

Beans 19 should have gps working 100% of the time but when u flashed the fix it might have screwed something up so reflashing should put the gps settings back to normal. Other fixes I know only works for international based tw roms or aosp.

I don't think there is one... on any international ROM there is NOTHING that'll get my GPS to work... I've tried absolutely every fix.
The fix that appears to work for many other users when unable to get a fix has been to:
reboot recovery
make a nandroid backup
wipe EVERYTHING
flash a stock ROM (or ROM with known working GPS anyways)
boot up and get a GPS lock
reboot recovery
restore first nandroid.
In your case I would think that just re-flashing (dirty) Beans should be enough.
