As far as I know, Facebook is not included in that update, so it can't be activated. It's just not there...

If you find a way to use provxml on your phone you could write a provxml to enable it i guess. But as of now you're out of luck.

Why not try Lucifer3006's RainbowMod for Lumia 800 (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1665651)?
The only downside is that it has not been tested, but Facebook integration is there and it is FullUnlock.
i like the stock version, which has anything that i need so far...besides FB :-D wish i had a useable client for WP .... anyways, all i can do is wait, thanks !

There is a way to full unlock it?

so, I downloaded NSS Pro v0.54, but it will not detect my Lumia 710.
I also have the two necessary files in ./loaders/special/wp7
the 710 has DLOAD, so I am trying to unlock it for Custom ROM usage.
what am I missing to get NSS to detect the 710?

Look in Settings/Extra`s and Info. there you will see Lumia Amber under software version. I guess you have a problem with Google servers.

That`s strange, do you have a carrier locked phone? FM radio is found under Music & Video`s.

You might want to reflash your rom with Nokia Software Updater 4.1.0, link http://nokia-software-updater.updatestar.com/, this will wipe your phone though so backup first. Here is a link for all current available Lumia rom`s http://www.nokia.com/global/support/software-update/wp8-software-update/availability-in-europe/.

Nokia suite is NOT compatible with windows 8 Lumia phones afaik as its supports the Symbian OS, uninstall it and install the Nokia Software Updater as stated above.

EDIT:Ups didn't saw that your problem was already solved, but this my help other person)
I had a similar problem. I bought mine a few days ago and updated it till no more updates were shown. Then I went to Extras+Info to see the magnificent Lumia Amber lettering. There were none. The phone is carrier locked but the said carrier had already released the amber version. After a while of testing i discovered that in order to show the Lumia Amber for us to be sure the Extras+Info had to be updated.
Scan the QR code in this page with your phone to update.

Well you can call it Rataplan V10 or whatever you like but it will be my last rom for the Lumia710, I've really had a great time here but it's time to move on.
I'm not leaving the forum and I still support all my roms, but I wanna try some other things, and hey, I still have my Lumia710

It depends if you're Lumia 710 has Qualcomm (unlocked bootloader), to install just read THIS
If your Lumia 710 already has Qualcomm, just use the lumiadownloader wich is in the download file and follow the instructions.

If you have Qualcomm, your phone is already unlocked all you need to do is enter the osbl mode, you can do that by turn the device off and turn it on with the power on/off button and the volume up button pressed on the same time, now wait for the short buzz and connect your device to your pc.
Then open Lumia downloader, which is in the 7z file, and press the button "FLASH rom to Nokia 710 without DSP&USP".
Give the tool administrator rights and navigate to the nb file.

i've just purchased my first ever Windows Phone (Lumia 710) and after using it for 2-3 hours i imediately started feeling the lack of some customization options, and i saw this ROM and it looks pretty cool.
(untill now i have just used Adroid and iOs)
the question: coming from a stock Nokia Lumia 710 (WP 7.8), if I follow the steps described in this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2168413 will i be able to install this ROM and don't brick my phone, or do i have consider something else/more if i want to install it ?
