[Q] US firmware for I9300? - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I'm currently trying to restore my i9300 to stock from cyanogenmod 10. Since this is the International version and I live in the United States, I didn't see a US firmware version on the Samsung website. Does anyone know which one I should pick?

Look in your phone's forum. There are many guides on restoring to stock for international versions.

[Q] Is this for all the versions?

Hey I was just wondering if this section of the forums is for all the US versions of the Galaxy S II or just a certain carrier?
This forum is for the i9100 version (international phone).

I don't know why you would want to, and I would strongly recommend against it, but see http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1702479
Thanks mate, i wouldn't bother with all that...i am happy with open Europe leaked 4.0.4 version.

OTA for America?

I'm currently on LE9 which is not the latest version. Neither Kies nor my phone will recognize that there is an update. I could not find an American Odin tar for this phone in the general section with all the firmwares. Does anyone know which Odin tar i need? UK?
Edit: yes my phone is international
If your phone isn't the international model, i9300, you're in the wrong place.

I noticed that when i first turned on my phone, it asked what language to pick and by default it was selected UK. I changed it to US ofc but im thinking its the UK firmware.
Settings > About shows
Build Number: IMM76D.I9300XXALE9
I THINK the latest firmware is I9300XXBLFB. Correct?
Im also thinking that there is an American version because in I9300XXALE9 there is an A before the LE9 and there's also a I9300XXALFB out there
You can flash any of those, they will all be fine.
I'm on xxalf6 and I'm in Ireland.

what are the differences between the versions?
There aren't any changelogs so no one knows.
All the custom roms are based on XXBLFB since its the newest one out.

Thank you for your help!
Yours is Algerian version. Dial *#1234# and google the code that comes out that is how u find what region is your phone from. Thats what i hate about international phones, you get some phone that is made for some crap market lile african markets for example

AP: I9300XXALE9
CP: I9300XXLE8
CSC: I9300JVALE9
what does that mean?
Double post
Nevermind

That isn't necessarily true, XXBLFB is the newest firmware version out but it was released to lots of places, the UK, Africa, Germany etc.
ALE9 was released to lots of places too.

That's what I had in mind for the letters being related to build date rather than location.

so my phone is Algerian or no?
I don't understand why you can't just flash the latest update via Odin? I don't think it matters what you are currently on like it does on an HTC phone.

I9300t vs i9300

I just bought a galaxy s3 and realised the code is i9300t. Is it compatible with Roms for the regular international i9300 version. The phone seems to be from Vodafone Australia.

did you use the SEARCH function? It was already answered x-times.
yes you can use I9300 roms on I9300T, only the frequency band for T models is different as they are optimized for 850MHz, but even there you can use also 9300 modems. Just make sure you got the international model etc. and flash the correct rom in that sense, otherwise no difference between T and non-T
Thanks. I actually did use the search feature but didn't find any responses.

I9300 and I9300T are only different in the frequency they are optimized for. Hence all Roms, but even the modems work. I also got a T model. Next time please search the question came up already a few times.
