are you s-on or off?
to fix the main version error there's a zip posted in dev that will do this for you.

You're welcome. The main version is built into hoot so you can only update. Once it's set, it's set and needs to be rewrote.

Sorry for the noob question. I am not a noob to rooting or flashing, but I am new to the 3d. I just got one sent to me from Asurion. It has hboot 1.40, which I know I can root with revolutionary, which I am going to do shortly. But the software is on 1.13.651.7, which I can see if the rom the phone originally shipped with.
So I am trying to find a stock rooted version of the latest update from a few days ago. I just spent a half hour trying to find it, and all I can find is unrooted versions of it, which will probably update my hboot to 1.5, which I dont want. So can y'all help me out and point me to the thread with the stock rooted zip of the latest update that I can flash WITHOUT updating my hboot?

where do i find the necessary files to restore and relock my amaze if maugaupload is locked out?
I'd upload the RUU but I only have the WIND mobile one if you want
What files do you need?
All you really need is a recovery image.
I guess I don't understand your question.
Do you need an RUU?

Yes. But you'll wipe your internal sdcard.
So installing the ruu and running update will take me to stock? How about the kernel is that included with the ruu or do I need to flash a kernel with xboarders method?

RUU replaces everything...it flashes, kernel recovery and rom, you don't need to do anything else
ya i just went through the process today simply so i cld get the new radio lol and i'm almost certain i get a stronger signal at home now
but anyways you'll need to relock your phone first, then flash the ruu and you'll be back to 100% stock, except now your phone will say "relocked" instead of "locked" but there's no getting around that

If the 3.15 RUU only updates you hboot only you can find the fix here
Don't run the JB RUU it is known to cause problems. Relock your phone and take the OTA. It is the safest way.

I locked the phone and did the ota, but whe ir rebooted it it got stuck in the first menu where you can chose recovery and fastboot. I removed the custom recovery and relocked the phone. I downloaded the update again and this time it got stuck in recovery. Do you have any idea how ro get this update to install?
I got it to take the OTA update. I had to remove the custom recovery, lock the phone and install the stock RUU for the version I was on. Now I just need to get s-off and I'm good.
Thanks for all the help.

Hey man, can you tell me where to find the stock recovery? I can't remember where to find it. I've been searching xda for about 45 minutes.
I was on CM 10.1...I wanted to go back to stock so I relocked my Bootloader and flashed ROM.zip from the RUU_ENRC2B_U_JB_45_hTC_Asia_WWE_1.17.707.1_Radio_3.1204.168.32_release_299722_signed.exe
But at the last step I get a 44 hboot error. I was told that I may have flashed an older RUU. I think I need 1.17.707.2 like the one that was available here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2345391
Can someone help me out with this?
Anyone?
I would be very grateful if anyone could even give me their Stock backup. Please guys...in need of serious help here.

Buddy I gave you the link in pm that was shared by the OP of that post (1.17.707.2)...
So it appears that the file does not work with hboot 1.4...
I guess you will have to go back to custom ROM till hTC releases an actual RUU that supports 1.4 hboot for Indian users.

You don't flash them in recovery. There should be instructions in that thread, which would also be the best place to post your question about it.

Is that correct, and is this the most up to date version, because I noticed it doesn't match the version in your signature?
That's not the newest radios, and no, they are not flashed through recovery. They are flashed through the bootloader. If you aren't planning on updating to Android 4.3, however, those are the newest and will work fine. For more info, click the top link in my sig and read the section regarding firmware updates.

You are right, I forgot you do flash them in the boot loader. My question now is that I'm currently on 4.1.1 but may in the future update to 4.3. As a result, can you point me specifically to the file that I need to flash in the boot loader. Is the file I need to flash in the boot loader called 4.13.651.4 Sense 5 Android 4.3 - Odex or is it something else. Sorry for asking such stupid questions, but I'm getting confused.
If you want to update to 4.3 you should run the RUU. That will make sure everything gets updated. The RUU will also change how the internal storage is set up. In that same link I mentioned above, there is a link to all the applicable RUU's for this device.

Thanks for the information. I decided to simply use the older radio link that I linked you that you said is the most up to date version if I'm not switching over to 4.3. I'm planning on getting a new phone soon, so I didn't want to take the time to switch to 4.3 right now. I already flashed the radios and everything looks to be working fine. Thanks for your help.
