Okay, I was able to install the HSPL to 2.08. By the way I was on T-mobile stock Win 6.5. I installed MAGLDR 1.13 and I verified bothh are installed. When I tried to load NAND Android, could not find the loader.exe or daf.exe to install. I have a phone right now in the bootloader menu. I just want to go back to Win Mo 6.5, I downloaded stock from T-mobile website, but the PC does not recognize the device (has it as MAGLDR device). I would really appreciate any help that you could give. I have searched the forums for this topic, can't seem to find a solution that works. When I tried to install WinMo 6.5 it says it could not communicate with my device (only way I can even see it is to select USB mass storage in bootloader menu). USB flash says USB, but nothing happens. Windows device manager doesn't recogniz device either.
I will never attempt this again, and thanks again for any help you can give.
okay, things should turn out okay.
if you want to proceed with nand:
* When your phone Reboots it will Enter the MAGLDR Boot Menu Screen *
1. Press the 'Volume Down' button to goto Option 5: USB Flasher and press the 'Call' button (far left of the 5 hardware buttons at the bottom)
2. The menu will enter Android Flasher mode and install usb drivers if not present
3. Browse to the folder you extracted your NAND Android Package files to on your pc, right click on Run DAF.exe (or Install.exe if DAF.exe isnt present) and select Run as Administrator
4. Read ALL the text and then select 'Next'
5. Read the information and select 'Next'
6. The installer will now detect USB and then flash your Android Rom to NAND
* You can follow this progress on your Phones Screen *
7. When flashing is complete your phone will Reboot and proceed to boot Android from NAND

for an example of a daf rom use: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=917590
from: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=893948
to return to wm:
flash rom from sd card:
1. Make sure your microSD is Formatted to fat32 (you dont have to delete all files but it is safer if you do)
2. Download your prefered Rom from the LEO Rom Develpoment Page and unzip/unrar it to your PC
3. Goto the Roms Folder and rename the .nbh file to LEOIMG.nbh
4. Copy the LEOIMG.nbh file to the root of your MicroSD Card
5. Plug the MicroSD Card into the phone
6. Reset the device while pressing the volume down button to enter the BootLoader screen, you will first see a tri-color screen with the phone and SPL Information at the top
7. Follow the On Screen instructions to start the update
8. After flash has completed, press the reset button with the stylus to reset the device.

Do this cut your phone off then cut it back on by holding the volume down button and momentaraly holdind thd power(end) button. When the tri color bootloader comes up plug your phone into the USB cable and wait for the white bar at the bottom of the phone screen to say USB ans then run the update utility for the T-Mobile ROM.
Thanks for the prompt reply. I think I am going to go back to 6.5. When I went to the folder I xtracted for android, I could not find a run.exe or install/ It loaded three files, boot, system, and some other file. None of them had those listed in the files. Like I said, I shouldn't have even attempted it.
Now, when I flas back to WinMo, will it only be on the SD card?
were those three wrapped in a .zip when you downloaded them? sounds like you may have a zip nand rom, but are following daf nand instructions.
got a rom filename for us?

three folders, not files, system, boot and meta-inf.
You unzipped a zip nand rom, then followed daf nand rom instructions.

No you will just be using the Sd card to flash the ROM if you go the SD card rout, and by the way when you are done flashing your phone you can remove that file from your SD. Flashing with the SD card is just a easier and safer way of flashing seing as the only thing that could go drastically wrong is the battery die or you remove the SD card while the flash is in progress. Also flashing from SD takes a littke longer too.
Edit: You well lose HSPL and MAGLD by using the SD card method.
You are right! Unfortunately I got frustated with it and I deleted the files. Here ia the one I tried [23.FEB.11][ZIP][LEO512][LEO1024]CMYLXGOs Stock Desire HD(2)[RUU1.84][RAFPIGNA 1.7OC]
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Looks like ALL IS well when download the stock. Thaks T-macgnolia! Actually thanks everyone! My husband thanks you as I didn't destroy his phone.
Okay, last thing I hope. I was able to get 6.5 up and running. Everything works except the battey will not charge. (the little charging icon does not show up in the status bar on top) The battery ia down to 2 percent, when I plug it in the battery goes to full and the led light blinks red, then green all the time. I pulled the battery to reset, doesn't help. What did I do?
Oops, flashing light indicates faulty battery or battery charging circuits. Check battery pins aren't a little bent, perhaps borrow a battery from friend / shop and see if it still happens.

all the links i came across to upgrade to ICS are all 'UPDATE.APP', no zip files.
Huawei doesnt have it on their site anymore. I was hoping you could mirror it or something.
BTW i tried rooting using the method for the U8800, does not work.
hello, we got Root, I can not insert a link (no rights), copy the post:
1. Set the wood on your computer.
2. We enter the engineering menu of the body. (*#*# 2,846,579 #*#*) further ProjectMenu - Background setting-Log setting - Logswitch - LOG on - turn on, return to the ProjectMenu - Damp & Log include all items (total 4 points). Exit and restart ProjectMenu of the body.
3. Connecting to a PC the "Settings" - "Applications" - "Unknown sources" - turn on, then "Quick" - disable, then "Development" - include "Debug on USB" and "left on"
4. On the PC, disable antivirus, run SuperOneClickv2.3.1. and in the upper left corner click "ROOT".
5. On the pop-up windows give the "OK", a window with a proposal where a register just turn it off.
6. The ending of the whole operation will be a few lines (about half the screen) at the end of the last word "OK"
7. Turn off SuperOneClickv2.3.1, then "Options" - "Applications" - "Development" - turn off the "Debug on USB" and "left on" turn on "Quick", disconnected from the PC, restart the body.
8. If done correctly then open desks and one of them will see the icon "Sueruser" versiya3.0.7.
9. Return to its original condition and value of LOG on Damp & Log
PS
A small addition to the previous post, namely, after the root note two folders on the SD card and bugreports sleeplog. Remove the contents. If they continue to be replenished, then go to step 2 do the engineering menu, and then claim 9. Restart the body, clean folder on your SD card.

Yea I think I my have found one..... Waiting for it to finish downloading if its the one we both seek I will post a link.
EDIT: trying this one now -
1.)Download the bootloader menu tool - recovery-v8.img 5.5 MB megauploadDOTcom/?d=GN3NFEWS
2.)Download this zip 2.3.6 Sorry I can't post links in my first few posts apparently. pm me will email link then someone with more posts can post link.
3.)Turn phone off, Hold down both the volume up AND the volume down keys without letting go also then press and hold the power button. After a while your whole screen should go PINK. your usb cable should already be plugged in and this should mount a usb drive on your computer that you can access. Open it. There will be a file in there called recovery.img , rename it to recovery.old, then copy the recovery-v8.img to this drive. Rename it to recovery.img. Pull out the battery and re-insert.
Boot the phone by pressing and holding only the volume up key and the power button. This should load you into the new recovery image. From here you can load the .zip file from the menu.
Phew.
Its good to have a working phone.
PS its a custom rom thats already rooted and has root explorer installed. NICE! Oh ad you can install google apps from google. just google gapps-ics-20111125-2.zip

If you have 2.3.6 firmware your phone will be NOT recognized on your PC by pink screen !!! By reason of lock on 2.3.6.
You can install Chinacom 2.3.5 firmware and use this procedure(pink screen) again, and will be OK.after that you can install any custom rom also 2.3.6 !

Root Hauwei U8860 with ICS and Gapps
So I gave up on Gingerbread. I am now running ICS with Gapps.
I did it by the following steps.
1.) install the ICS demo provided by huawei
2.) Replace the recovery.img with the v8 one via the pink screen method mentioned in my previous post.
3.) download the gapps ics .zip to your sdcard and rename it to update.zip in the root of sdcard.
4.) Boot to recovery menu by holding power button and volume up button, then slect update zip, then chose the update.zip. once completed reboot.
5.) when you boot into ics login to google talk with your account first via 3g data not wifi data. then gmail.
6.) now market should work!
Also you can root ICS easy with any rooting tools. I used RootThat-v1.0.0
PS I emailed/pm'd the gingerbread rom to all who requested it. I found it unstable though.
!
no bro.newest version of ICS for Honor is with kernel 3.0.8 ! is pretty good but still not stable and on testing.it is rootable also with oneclickroot not only over pink screen.link what i give you that is very stable version of 2.3.6 but not rootable if you have "bugreport" inside phone,if not it is possible to root
regards
any ICS ROM's link? i found it very difficult on google
is this ICS build already stable on this phone?

Hi all devs and members (ps.my first post)
As the title suggests, I need help rooting a Chinese Phone. Amoi n820
The device hardware is pretty awesome for the price, but I have problems
installing gApps as they are blocked on the phone.
I have attempted to root using Unlock Root "its supported?" but unsuccessful.
I have also been stalking Chinese forums
http://bbs.amoi.com.cn/viewthread.php?tid=4028
and
http://products.mobileuncle.com/thread-157352-1-2.html
but have failed to root the device
I believe that the main problem is that the phone driver is not being properly installed.(ps tried the usb fix as prescribed in the 2nd link).
Anyone knows how to fix this?
Cheers
did you manage to do it....?
Found this in a german forum:
http://translate.google.de/translat...-Tutorials-Anleitungen&highlight=n820&act=url
Thanks, holybabel.
Using this it took me less than 10 minutes to root the N820 after receiving it.
So far, the only downside I've found is that you loose the back camera (the button for switching between front/back camera is missing, and the front camera is the default).

0) Back up all data on cellphone, charge it to at least 60% battery, do not connect it to the PC yet, and TURN IT OFF. Plug in USB end of the USB - micro-USB cable into the PC.
1) Unpack the RAR package
2) Rename directory to remove all Chinese characters
3) Unpack the N820_V6.0_ROOT_GMS.rar file (unpacks to N820_V6.0_ROOT_GMS).
4) Go into the 'USB驱动' directory, unzip and install the USB VCOM driver.
5) Go into the '刷机工具' directory and double-click on the Flash_tool.exe file. Click on "Scatter-loading" and point to the N820_V6.0_ROOT_GMS\MT6577_Android_scatter_emmc.txt.
6) Hit F8 or click on 'Firmware -> Upgrade'.
7) Hold down the Volume Down button and connect the phone to the PC. The button can be released when the red bar starts moving.

Oh come on the settings button should be global for android despite the chinese.
Clicking on that you get the menu where the small A icon is for the language and then the first choice is the language change. English should be visible in the list there (hopefully)

@Others: I have Amoi N821 since last week and I'm not sure which ROM/archive I should use to root and have Play Store. Can I use N820 files, or is there similar package for N821? Current system says "Android version: 4.0.4; Build number N821_V2.1". I suppose the update package is different for N821, so if anybody knows about such, the link would be highly appreciated!
After I got the new ROM and changed the language in english I still got the Root app in chinesse
What can I do ?

N820 ROM on N821 will screw display up. I've managed to root it and install google apps/market. If anyone wants, I can write up a nice howto. So far I've written a small review of it on my blog: dfourn.com
Hello guys! I finally found the way to root this terminal without losing any functionality (Home, Menu, Back buttons and LED notifications working).
STEPS:
1. Set your device on download mode (shutdown the phone, then press "ON + Volume Down") and connect via USB on your PC
2. Download this file: m eg a.co . n z /#!AgxRTZDA!Z0Ni-g5eg9D-X9YEwVcKCFN8hpYwvbex6YCop5MTqfo (remove spaces, i cant post a entire url for the new users restrictions, sorry)
3. Install MSXML 4.0 SP3 Parser (msxml.msi)
4. Run KDZ_FW_UPD.exe
5. Set "Type" on "3GQTC" and "PoneMode" on "DIAG"
6. Select V10E_00.kdz from the folder that you downloaded

I am Spanish but im posting that in English because is the official language on this forum, just use the google translator, anyway if you have any specific question i will answer you ASAP, send me a private message if you wish
If you are asking about the language of the ROM, is in all languages, is an LG official one (E-425)

The "new" thing is using E-425 ROM instead of E-435 in order to avoid the home, back and menu buttons stop working and the dual sim notification errors, but is not a perfect solution because the back and menu keys backlight LEDs are disabled although they still responding to touch, i found this method by myself, but probably more people found this way as well, and of course, it was not my intention taking credit from theirs, cheers!
This didn't work for me on LG E430
After installing the v10e firmware it kept saying that various processes are stopping
I had to install the official firmware v10d for my phone to work again
I rooted my LG E430 after this link:

I never had issues related with stopping processes on my e430, but if you got a proper rooting using this tutorial on the original firmware i will try it, thanks for sharing this method
???
to use framaroot you dont need to use kdz!
kdz is used to flash
and framaroot is used to root
they are 2 different things bro!

Framaroot don't work on e430 yet, but is working on e-435 and e-425 (very similar phones), you can flash one of those instead of the original ROM because the phone is compatible, but aparently gixy08 found a post with a better way using other program in order to root on e430 directly :victory:

A little help..
I've managed to root my LG E430 with this tutorial, thanks for that , but I have a problem with my 'back and options' buttons, their light is gone... The 'home' button also, although it shows a signs of life sometimes (with some apps and sometimes on notifications).
So my questions are:
1. Is there a way to 'add' this settings to the system (cause my guess is they were deleted/misplaced from the system)?
- via android SDK on PC, file manager, or something else (just guessing )
2. Is there a KDZ file for the e430, the original one ?
- used for unroot or fetch the settings for the original one
---
Thanks again for the tutorial and thanks in advance for my questions,
dnisko

USB otg mode is workking.
It's so simple !!
Thanks OP.
Option 1 and 2 work with either NM or USB-OTG drive
It did not work well with my device.
I tried in OTG mode.
The environment is 9.1.0.124 (C431E4R2P2).
When you start eRecovery, it becomes Software installed failed. (Incompatibility with current version)
What's wrong
Have you downloaded all the files and placed the three update files in to a folder called 'dload'?
Also, if having issues try the service menu method.
Don't let me download the firmware ?. I have what could it be?

just download from here, https://support.halabtech.com/index.php?a=downloads&b=file&c=download&id=121664 , you will have to register first to download.
something is not going well with the drive link i put on first post. cheers
If it will not allow you to download due to too many people accessing the file, then add it to your drive. once there, right click and select "Create copy" you can then download the copy
i am trying to upload to mega. if someone have a valid link and want to share here please just post it. cheers

Hi All
I'm on 3 UK and when I inserted my sim it downloaded 3UK splash screens and apps etc. Can I flash this over my current 3 branded firmware using the USB-OTG method and will it still have all the 3UK customisation afterwards or will it debrand, if it will debrand it is there any way I can stop this happening again. Sorry for all the questions
Thanks in advance

You asked at just the right time, my device was a branded ThreeUK device... I just flashed it 30 mins ago on my device. Completely debranded it, however when you setup the phone it will give you an option to "Update" to a new custom version which is the carrier modified firmware. Presume this will rebrand it so i simply skipped it, note however it shows as update available in settings still if you want to install it in future manually. That being said... I wonder if it's possible to extract and see what this "Update" contains since it's 176MB which is a lot. Whether any optimisations ect are worth it for the branding.
That's great, thank you for the info! It really is a crap idea to customise a device based on operator sim card.
I will have a go at flashing this now, I've already downloaded the files
Thanks again
