So I unlocked my Atrix and deleted a couple system apps I didnt think I needed. The phone still works but gives me an error message every now and again. If someone out there had the same phone and titanium backup could I just get the backed up files from them and import them back into my piece? Android V2.3.6 System version 45.21.78.MB860. If someone would be so nice I would post the missing file names. Thanks for any help.
Why Titanium backup? I would think extracting those few apps from a fruitcake would be easier...

So I rooted my phone today, got Titanium Backup and Root Manager. Before I started mass uninstalling the bloatware, I tested it first. I made a backup of Airhorn, then went into the system files and deleted the .apk. Then I restored it in Titanium Backup and viola, it's back. So i tried one of the bloatware programs, The Sims 3. I backed it up, then deleted the .apk in the datatmo/games/ea folder. I try to restore, and it says restore data only, Airhorn I could restore App+Data. Now the Sims 3 icon is still there, but gives me this error: There is a problem parsing the package.
So I can't restore it, and the icon is still there. Can i get the .apk file back and have a way to back it up so I can restore it in the case that I need to install it again? Or did I screw up?
Anyone? Please?
Hmmm well I do have both apks Sims 3 requires to run but would it be considered pirating if I posted a link? I'm fairly certain other phones would be able to run it.
Well I got the .apk, but now i have two shortcuts to the game and they both work, now I dunno what files to backup so i can delete them and back them up, whats the name of the two files?
Sims3_Samsung_Embed_Launcher.apk and The_Sims_3.apk
Thanks, all good now
Good greef same problem here. Someone please help me get the Sims back please.
what is the fix for this issue? I have the same problem.. too...
In an effort to repair an error message I've had while launching The Sims, I used Titanium Backup to first "backup" The Sims and then uninstall it. I guess I don't understand Titanium Backup very well, 'cause I was expecting it to have backed up the .APK files for The Sims as well, which it does not appear to have done.
Anyone know how I can reinstall The Sims on my phone? I have ClockworkMod backup files from a week ago or so, but I'd rather not restore my *entire phone* for one application. Are the .APKs hiding somewhere on my phone? Or, can I open the ClockworkMod backup files and suck The Sims .APK files out?
Much thanks!
Yip
So, I ended up grabbing The Sims .APK from Eugene's Vibrant4.zip ROM -- when he still included that game with his ROM. Reinstalled and seems to be ok.
hi my friends, but is there any possibility to backup the sims data? if so how?
Hey guys,
i now want to flash a new ROM on my phone but before i did some backups with TitaniumBackup on my original HTC Firmware.
Now i flashed the ROM (which already includes TitaniumBackup) but this can't restore my backed-up apps, because I can't find them.
When I plug the phone to USB I can see all Backups on my SD-Card, but TitaniumBackup does not show the possibility of recovering the apps.
What can I do? Do I have to set the path to the old backups somewhere?

try uninstalling titanium and reinstalling it.
If you have the paid version, you could store everything in the remote server and just download all your apps again.

You can set the path in titanium backup its under menu/preferences. Then scroll down to default backup folder ... Or something like that.

Hi all.
I have backed up my razr yesterday because today i was making a guide in one of my local forums.
i backed it up with Bootmenu (for ICS) that has been released here in the development section, but i cuted it while it was backing up the webtop partition because i needed the phone with me on the go.
now it fails to restore it manually because of this stupid MD5 checksum...
there is any way to restore that backup by myself?
maybe accessing to the phones root folder?
It would really help me if someone knows the answer.
Thanks in advance
I guess your phone run out of space while performing backup.
Which partition you want to restore?? (except webtop.. it's broken)
It will be easy for me to help you if you can list down all files (*.tar) inside the backup folder you make yesterday
Moved To Q&A
Please post in the correct section

Hiya guys, nice to be on a new section of the forum
I've got a bit of a problem.....
Just bought a SGS-III and traded my old Xperia Play in for it. Before trading it in I did a full Nandroid backup, and THOUGHT I had backed everything up using Titanium too, however, my messages weren't backed up
I had some messages on that phone that I need to get back, so have been trying everything I could to find them in the Nandroid backup and add them into the system og my new SGS-III.
If anyone can help it would be great!!
This is something REALLY important to me, and for once I am really begging for help.
I was using Go SMS and Go Launcher Pro on the Play and I have already downloaded Go SMS onto the SGS-III.
The XPlay was on Gingerbread 2.3.4 and the SGS-III is on 4.1.2.
I have now tried AppExtractor from the market, and using unyaffs to get files from my back-up. Neither have worked for me
Found this and tried it, but still no luck

I did this yesterday using Titanium Backup for my SMS/MMS
You need to go into Preferences and check the *Migrate system data [Experimental] option
Then you go to More - Extract from nandroid backup
There it is listed as Dialer Storage
You can probably do the Phone log this way to but I did look for it.
I would recommend you do a current backup of [SMS/MMS/APN] Dialer Storage before you attempt this.
