Look in /sdcard/clockworkmod/backup.

Bingo! Why that folder? And the backup size is 1.6gb so it looks good but its not restoring.

Thanks by the way.

Just want to be able to use the Rom manager app to manage my backups. I like to organize by the name of the Rom within Rom manager. I may be wrong but going into recovery mode only allows me to see dates and time of backup.

I'm guessing u mean twrp (TeamWin recovery project). I would stick with that, but it's more of a personal preference. Just try both and see what u like best. They are easily flashable with a pc38img.zip through the bootloader.

Yes, I did mean TeamWon recovery. I see there is a way to flash in Rom manager but am unsure if it will conflict with TeamWin recovery.
Thanks!

If its the same as the evo, then it shouldn't. It just replaces the other recovery. If you don't mind doing this, you can get a file manager (like astro) and go into the folder where your backups are and rename the backups. However, I would only use letters, numbers and they default symbol that they use in the backups (usually a - or a .)

All you have to do is download rom manager and flash clockwork from that! I am running it for the same reason you are. The back ups are over a gig though...

What I do is I keep the nandroid backups in a folder on my computer. If I want to flash a recovery (which I never do unless I'm at home anyway), I just mount the SD card and copy over. I only keep one on my card saving those precious GB for other goodies.
Thanks for all ur input. Soon as I get to my PC I will hit the thanks button.

Can't install titanium backup, not enough storage, use root explorer but can't find t

hi guys,,
I have a problem here...so here it is..
I wanted to install titanium backup but I could do it, it says I didn't have enough storage. Of course, I have more than enough. So, use root explorer, go to system/data/app/ and search for a file with titanium backup odex extension and want to delete it., but the strange thing is I can't find any titanium backup odex..
so what should I do?
Apps you install go to /data/app and there is no odex file. Thats only for system apps.

Backup - where?

Where are the CWM Recovery backups stored? I think I've looked everywhere but can't find them. They restore ok from the recovery view but can't find them in any file explorer. Most of them I have on internal sdcard but the clockworkmod folder is empty
EDIT: autocorrect mistake in thread title

ckeck in / mnt / shell / emulated / ClockworkMod / backup
The path you're looking for is /data/media/ClockworkMod/backup I believe, haven't seen the other but of course it could also be right.

I'm almost positive that's where I found mine a couple weeks ago, and I'm running 4.4...[EDIT: both paths take you to the same thing, just checked] It shouldn't matter what version, as per below.
An explanation as to why it's not where you think it is.
After 4.1 (correct version?) introduced multi user, internal storage is separated into numbered folders for each user, starting with 0 - the first user (ie usually only user on phones). Since CWM uses the root of the SD card instead of following this new format, most apps cannot find the backup since they access the 0 folder of int storage.
Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk
4.1 didnt introduce multi user. It is 4.3. Also. I tried the directory u said. Nth. Its wat the first directory was given is correct.

Depends on your settings - bit you'll find them in the "Clockword" folder - extsd or internal depends on what you chose St time of backup

Both mnt/shell and data folders are empty. This is wierd because I've checked so many paths and still can't find it... Am I doing something wrong?

I'm dumb didn't turn on root explorer. The first directory is correct. Thank you all for help.

Titanium zip

Does anyone know if making a zip file with Titanium Backup work with the new partition layout?
Sent from my EVO using xda app-developers app
Are you talking about a flashable zip?
Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
Of course. TB has nothing to do with the layout. It is installed to /data. The phone determines where that is located. I still use the same zip that I was using on the old format.
