[Q] Need help on my Ace(i) (Factory wipe, boot screen) - Galaxy Ace S5830i Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello guys, I'm new to this forum.. So I was searching the general help for s5830i phone thread, and didn't find the answer so my problem is that I can't turn on my phone, whenever I press the turn on/off button it just shows me this text: Samsung GALAXY Ace GT-5830i then it goes off and then it shows me the same text again. I did try to factory wipe it, but when I try, it starts, it "factory wipes it" for about 1-2 minutes then it goes off and the same text again. So my phone is 832 MHz CPU if that matters or not, I think it has ~250 ram, I can't be for sure, since I can't turn on my device. If You have anymore questions, write in the comment section, I'll try to help you as much as I can.

Odin is easier than SP Flash Tools
Just follow the guide and only use things of S5830i
You can never brick a phone if you read

[Q] Help! How to remove CWM from S2

Hi,
I just got my Android and happened to Root it with a firmware containing CWM because I really had no clue as to what it was. Now I would want to be able to remove this icon CWM from my phone. I have tried flashing the kernel to no avail. Please help me with a step by step procedure to remove it since I'm absolutely new to Androids. My S2 runs gingerbread 2.3.6. I did check the web but am so confused with all the options provided.
Thanks in advance.

It is strongly recommended to back up stock ROM before u give try to Custom ROM.
*#1234# - Check your Firmware version before u do Rooting and make a note some where
You can use those information to download your STOCK ROM from many website (google them)

Since you are rooted, use any file explorer with root access and delete the cwm manager.apk.
Second option is use root un-installer and uninstall the cwm manager

in some Firmwares CWM is included in system applications, so cant simply uninstall it, you can use Titanium backup application to uninstall system apps,
But before uninstalling better you learn more about Rooting and the functions of this app and other root apps. This is a very usefull app in the rooted and Clockwork mod installed devices, for rebooting into recovery easily, kernel flashing, backing up of the Rom ect..
you can have informations from below sticky thread as well as from my signature links.

Thanks guys for your prompt responses. I will try and flash the stock rom and let you know if it work. Thanks again
why do you want to remove it though? Its one of the most useable apps for a rooted phone

I installed CWM to test some custom ROMs on my device. What if for some i reason i have to take my mobile to service center.
Will they charge me (even if my device is under warranty) because i have installed CWM?
Do I really need to remove CWM? If yes, how??
Do you have a 3rd stupid question to ask?

Yes you will need to remove root so flash Sam firmware with mobile Odin and don't root. Now back to stock.
Or send it in and report bk
sent from my I9100 Alliance v8
It would be very helpful if you can provide a link for reference

Thanks for replying andrewwright!! (you too "theunderling"!!:angel
I haven't actually installed CWM yet and came here to clear my this doubt.
Why Sam Firmware (if Sam = Samsung) while my device is XOLO q800? Can I take a backup of my my stock firmware in some way because XOLO is not a popular brand and I won't get much support(stock firmware) over internet.
Also, I read somewhere that particular firmware corrosponds to a particular chipset(mine is MT6589), is it true??
I would really appreciate if you can provide a link for reference where I can read further or otherwise some people will keep yelling here "noob......noob"

Really it doesn't matter with me i only want my phone back but it won't matter if i falshed this rom again
if you read the basic guides you would know that you need to factory reset after flashing. or you could've read other hundreds of bootloop threads with all the possible solutions posted. But for some reason noobs think they're too good to search first
And you didn't even bother to make up a title that makes actual sense to someone who wants to help
Best ignore these non descriptive and repetitive fail to search or read the faqs threads .
Its becoming very boring and is a long way from what XDA was about .
jje
My frnd its a simple process
Do a factory data reset
Update your phone using samsung kies
Then if you want to flash a rom again
Install clockwork mod recovery on your sgs3
Now switch to cwm
Using cwm
Do a factory data reset again
Wipe dalvik cache and cache partition
Now flash your desired rom using apprpriate ways
I am sure you will get what you want
If this is useful
Plzzz press the thanks button

Bump for me
Flash the full stock rom for your country with Odin then factory reset in recovery. If efs is not read by the stock rom then restore your efs backup.
No backup then you'll have to pay for a repair.

If your IMEI is 0049 or null, try to use a patched MG4 modem first. Revolutionary roms don't have modem in them so that can cause some issues occasionally.
Let me know if it works.

Hello There,
I think the problem is the rom itself, i advise you to degrade your phone to its stock rom/orig rom and find a better rom.

Well my IMEI seems to be normal,it is not recommended to post it here?
Ps there is a way to find what was the original ROM of the phone?
Ps the imei shown on the phone is the same of the one shown on the back of the phone

- I would recommend never to post imei anywhere
- If the imei matches then all's ok.
- Stock rom depends on the country. You can search on sammobile and flash with Odin. 4.3 not recommended if you like flashing roms.

I advise to flash patched modems
You should try 2
Before mg version and after mg version
To check work both efs versions
If you don't know about efs stuff I advice to read imei thread in the sticky. Good luck with flashing modems :good:

I don't know if 4.0.4 exist for the S3.You should probably flash the 4.1.2 with Odin.
Download the 4.1.2 from samfirmwares.com

then you dont need a CM ROM, you need stock ICS, and I dont think you can get it here, you should google about that. You also coulg go to a technical service, its a bad problem but it has a solution, It happened to me but with an S1
be careful
if you flashed any new rom and your efs become v2 don't flash any old efs v1 modem you will lost your imei
backup first
this what happened to me before but i have advanced box in Samsung so i don't care
