What does it do just replace your sim card now? The last thread I read about isis it says there was a root check in there and it wouldn't load the app if your rooted. Most of us would be screwed

+1 to this. I was stock and activated and now am rooted with beans and wont pass root check. Got my $10 free though, but not sure if my $50 rebate is going to go through now. Oh well , still damn nice device for $249.99 out the door.

I thought when I said I called customer service to get it, it was self explanatory no worries droid on roids I posted in general section so whats the issue? Are the roids making you touchy or what man it was in general not in developer or anything not understanding the post you made?

I should already have the Isis sim as when I got my n2 Isis had a $50 rebate. So assuming the rep did actually give me the NFC sim, which my receipt states, I will be trying that work around. Thanks for the link.

It works anywhere. Those are the only cities pushing the isis app, and the only two cities with the NFC SIM readily available. If you live anywhere else you can request the service and have the SIM shipped to you.
This has all been explained before in other threads. OP didnt add any information that couldnt be found in an easy search.

I am happy to report that I have my Isis mobile wallet setup properly.
I simply called customer and requested the NFC sim card that is required to allow mobile wallet to function properly.
I do not live in either of the two test market.
In live in the Washington DC metro area.
The initial setup was successful on the third try
Isis wallet did not work at my local HarrisTeeter.
Isis wallet seemed to work perfectly at my neighborhood VZW location.
Will keep everyone updated as I test out Isis in the DC area
Thanks

Has anyone been able to successfully set up Isis mobile wallet? I tried doing it twice but it failed. I'm mostly doing it for the $50 phone rebate. I'm going to call Verizon momentarily as the failure email states to call the carrier.

I tried it too and got the same type of message google wallet gets, "phone not supported". Vz strikes again, and this one is actually their app. I thought their reason for not supporting google wallet was because this one was coming out, now even their own app doesn't work? Frustrating.

I am in salt lake. The rep inserted the Isis card when I got the phone. I called vz and the csr had me try it over lte rather than wifi. Didnt work though. Same failure. Shes supposed to call me back and see. Because of the limited roll out, they havent had a lot of training. She told me I was her first ever call about Isis.
I'll update later.

Juat went by my local verizon store and the salesperson there said there's an issue registering the note 2 on the Isis side and they are working on a fix.
Of course, now I'm rooted and when opening the app, it says the phone is no longer compatible because of root capability. Oh well. Unless someone makes a cracked version of the app that bypasses the root checker.

Thats my bad. I bumped an old thread instead of making a new one.
Anyway, I guess third time was the charm. It activated.
Just for referrence I am stock without root. And I am not in a test market.
If you are not in a test market you just need to go to your local Verizon and have them order the SIM. Isis is open to anyone who wants it. Verizon's internal documents say that anyone outside the test markets that request isis can participate. They just need the SIM shipped to them. Isis compatible SIM cards will have "NFC" in the SKU.
My Story:
I called customer service and they didnt know what I was talking about. They looked it up and said no problem they would ship it to me. Once I received I went to the store to get it activated. We discovered customer service just sent me a generic SIM. It didnt work.
After a hour and a half the people at the store found the right SIM in the system but they were unable to order it. I know the district manager and he happened to walk in right then. He called a store in a test market and had them mail the SIM.
Apparently I am the only person in Oklahoma City to ask for it so far.
So it may take some time and effort but you can get it.
First Impression:
Google wallet is less complicated to set up. And supports way more cards. Until isis supports more cards its more of a novelty item. Its too bad because I really like using Wallet on my GNex.

I live in SL, I've had Isis on my phone since I got the jb update. Unfortunately, I've tried to use it about 5 times with no luck. It keeps declining the cash card. I've talked to the Isis team and they are trying to fig out out. I wish I could just use Google wallet, it was so much better. With Isis, you only have 3 options for credit cards. I can't load my local credit union debit card like I could with g-wallet. Hate VZW

[Q] Why No Google Wallet NFC Payments?

I think this might have been answered before, but why can't the LG Optimus G use Google Wallet to make NFC payments? I use Vanilla Rootbox (the May 18 build) and it lets me install it, but I've been worried that running it might damage something since I read we can't use it.
My main question: Why can't we use it when the Nexus 4 (by most all regards, the same phone) can?

Your assumptions are wrong. Go through this thread and you'll see that it doesn't work. Not without the xposed mod. And even then it's a hit and miss.

So why can't we use the Xposed mod? I just have a hard time believing that the Spring LGOG and AT&T LGOG could be so different (I thought the only real difference was the camera, TBH. I'm probably way off though. Idk.)

You can use the xposed mod. It's not just for us. It's for any phone. The xposed framework has more use than just the wallet mod as well. But if I had to guess, I'd say it'd be hit and miss as well. (besides the radios, design change, and camera, they pretty much are the same)
We don't have secure element because AT&T sucks and wants to use ISIS which isn't even available outside of like two places.

Visitor here from the s4 thread. Just wanted to shed some light on Isis for you guys. I for one hate Isis and will stick with Google wallet for as long as I can but if you want to try Isis, you can. They're testing in two markets. However, you're still able to get the Isis sim without being in those markets because Isis works where any paywave/paypass terminals are. Not just Isis terminals. I wanted to try Isis and be open-minded. After an hour on the phone with the rep at the call center and reps at the test markets, I found out the correct item number for the Isis sim which is 'item #41005'. Just ask them you'd like an item shipped and you have the item number. They'll ship it for free. Once you receive it, you activate it and launch Isis. As you're well aware, it won't work with rooted phones. If you're willing to try it, go for it. But for me, I didn't like it at all. It is very limited and clunky. They only support two credit cards but there is an Isis reloadable card you may use if you don't have the cards supported. But I'm sticking with Google wallet on my phone.

Most insurance plans require a police report to be filed for the lost phone, so you'd have to falsify that as well. Doesn't like a good idea in general.

If someone tells you they can get a phone off of the stolen phone negative list, they either work for Asurion (and they're acting illegally), work for a VERY specific team at Verizon (and puttng their job in jeopardy to make $70), or flashing a different IMEI to the phone (which is illegal and causes other problems down the line). All phones on Verizon are indexed, meaning that the company has a record of each phone's serial number, and that's what's allowed on the network. If a phone is in the "negative" index list, it can't be activated unless it's moved on to the regular list, and the only people that can do that are Verizon employees on the indexing/inventory team, or Asurion reps who have to go through a pretty long process to have it re-indexed.
On a GSM network, none of this is a problem, because the only thing the network cares about is the SIM/ICC number.

I gave up on Google Wallet for my phones. I've installed ISIS on my Verizon Droid Maxx; and it's okay. Accepted everywhere Wallet was here in Los Angeles, which is to say not many places. Not as good as Wallet in terms of seeing your purchase receipts on the phone, and limited credit cards, but it uses Amex, which is all I ever use.
I'd be happy to install ISIS on my T-Mo HTC One, but of course, T-Mo is way behind Verizon in rolling it out nationally. My VZW Maxx came with an ISIS SIM, and you can order one on VZW website. T-Mo still makes you go to a T-Mo store in Austin or SLC. <sigh>
I'm going to file complaint with the FTC. The Verizon users are filing against VZW with the FCC, since part of their LTE spectrum deal was that they would not block users from installing any apps on their phones.

You'll know if the SIM card is secure-element-ready (for Isis Mobile) if its the fully white sim card. The old ones are half red and half white, they do not contain the secure element. But neither will work for Google Wallet.

Wow, this really sucks since the Best Buy rep took mine out and replaced it with their normal sim so it was easier for him. Can I get this OEM sim from Verizon?

So here's an update to the above. I went back to Best Buy and after explaining what had happened, they were very kind and helpful to give me a sim card from another of their Note 3's from their stock. Evidently the card taken out of my was discarded somehow.
So can anyone tell me what happens when I try to activate this sim card? Will I be charged another activation fee? What will the swap affect on my phone? Should I expect any flack from Verizon after explaining what happened?

i actually work at Best Buy and you wont get an activation fee or upgrade fee. Doing a hardware swap is free and can be done multiple times in a day if needed. You actually can do it all online if needed through your verizon account.
The only time you will get a fee for activating a phone is if your are switching carriers to start up a new line or if you upgrade. It used to be called a contract fee because the fee only applies when signing a contract. however they changed the pricing on it so now the new line fee is $35 and the upgrade fee is $30.
