Welcome to XDA! Read the threads specially in the development section if you want to change your rom. You can flash Paranoid Android or MROM if you want that feature.

Make sure to follow instructions carefully and don't hesitate to ask questions in the q&a thread. Godspeed.

in settings, somewhere, you'll find it, if not, go to a ROM that supports it, AOKP should do the trick.
cant believe id seen this. lmao.

Nope, couldn't find in aokp.. ?!

In cm7 the option is in tablet tweaks...

Is there any way to do that by messing with the build.prop file ?
I'm also interested in putting the status bar at the bottom of the screen

Notification TOP Menu/BAR/Popout

Hello I saw on a friend's phone (LG Optimus, Android 2.3.7 based rom) a special notification menu (the one you activate by sliding from top to bottom): it was white and composed of 2 parts, one for notifications and the other window/part for switches (like wifi, gps, sound...). Have you got any idea what was named and if there is a possibility to install on my ACE? (stock based 2.3.6 ROM) It was awesome and it will help me a lot
Thanks a lot!

Do you mean this menu: http://www.tracyandmatt.co.uk/blogs...alaxy-ace-review_cd56/notification-tray_2.png ? This menu is in stock ROM
or this??
from HTC sensation and HTC Droid Incredible
UOT Kitchen has got this feature, but in CM 7,2 isnt this menu style...

Nope. Miui won't run on HTC Hero which has ARMv6 CPU. It's just really heavily themed CM7
I'm gonna try replacing some apks on CM 7.2 and/or 7.1 on my Ace tomorrow. ;-)

Edit 19:32 (GMT+1), 03.02.2012:
LiGux settings apk works fine when installed as normal apk (pushing it to /system/app/ should also work) but it just has links to Android's Settings.apk
Replacing SystemUI.apk/CMParts.apk/framework-res.apk/framework.jar (CM7.2 RC0 upd. 23.01) makes phone not bootable or breaks statusbar. I don't have any idea why (because I'm not into making android apps and porting them ). BUT if someone knows how it shouldn't be difficult to port since LiGux is also a CM7.2 build.
The better solution for ur question is UOT kitchen... U can check the status bar section and move to quick settings tab.. I never tested it.. Hope it might work...

Transparent status bar for CM7DX2

I have been looking into this and some devastating who did cm7 for other devices like the incredible were able to make this possible. I saw a zip with 100% 75% and 50% transparent.
I really wish I was a Dec and could do this or I would. Is there anyone out there that can pull this together? I would be more than willing to test for you

It does all the heavy lifting for you. As long as you can use the find function in a text editor you should be fine. You'll only need to change one line, and it will tell you the line and what to change it to. Once you've done it it will give you two update.zips, one to do the mod one to undo it.

The cm7 themes with transparent statusbar rely on this patch. In other words, this patch wont make ALL themes transparent, but will enable the ones that support it to work properly. Otherwise they'll just "ghost".

that is what I thought. I still dont understand the page link you gave me. I thought it would be as easy as just following the instructions but it isn't
Yes, some themes for Cyanogen do have transparent status bar. Most of those themes, you have to pay for.

[UPDATED 4/6][MODS] CM9 Mods

Hi people. Recently I've been very into looking for various mods for our CM9 to see what works and what doesn't work. These are NOT my mods, they are just mods that are compatible with our Galaxy Players. Below is the list:
-This mod is a tweak. It helps a lot with lag and I definitely recommend the one first. More details are here where down download is available: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1353903
-ICS Reloaded Mod. Polishes up the Notification area with some nice toggles. Check it out here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1531222 Screenshots are there as well.
-Holo Themed MMS, Calendar and Market apps. It changes the color to match the ICS Blue. Check it out here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1538265 Screenshots are there as well.
-True Blue ICS. More color changes. This mod removes gingerbread orange and replaces it with ICS Blue for a more rich app experience. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1492804
Mods that DON'T work:
-ICS 4 way lockscreen mod.
Mods that should be tried:
-Getting Tablet UI in CM9. Thread is here if you want to try: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1483221
**If there are any mods that I forgot/new mods that someone tried and works fo r us, comment the mods and link them. Thanks and happy modding!
All credits for these mods go to ORIGINAL DEVS! I am just sharing. Try them out. Not my fault if you get bricked/something happens to your device in a bad manner.
All of these mods are flashable via CWM!!
Thanks!

The developer update the mod yesterday and now it says "Sin servicio" again but the mod is pretty cool now we can theme the status bar, the navigation bar, etc. So that little word doesnt matter but it would be pretty cool if we can change that

I think Tablet UI works for me when I set DPI at 129 on AOKP, becuase I get smaller words when I open browser and stuff. And there is more space, but I can't turn the screen into landscape mode

Rom Toolbox Pro Notification background.

Need a little bit of help with Rom toolbox pro. I have been able to use several awesome features such as custom boot anitmations, different status bar icons etc... I am currently tring to set a notification background. I click install and it goes through the whole installation process and asks me to reboot.after the reboot nothing has changed. Is there anything I'm missing or anything i need to do before hand? Or is this justn not possible? I am currently running Beans 19, perseus kernel, but hopefully thats not the issue

Some of the features with ROM Toolbox are buggy on our phones, if I were you I would ask in Beans if there was another way of doing this instead. A lot of times those options are built in.
