Hello everyone
I need the help of some professionals around here
I just made a mistake while trying to root my Galaxy Tab 10.1 (P7500) with Stock ICS (4.04) on it. I did the following:
I followed this a Tutorial to root the tablet with Odin.
1) I booted the tablet into download mode
2) Then I used odin to update the bootloader
3) Instead of clicking the "PDA" button in Odin I clicked the "Bootloader" button and started the flash process - which was the mistake
3) After this the tablet restartet
The problem is now the following. I cannot boot into the download mode anymore (the normal system still boots fine). When I press volume up + power the selection screen appears. When I then choose download mode, the screen turns black and the tablet restarts. I seem to have destroyed the bootloader.
So all methods to root the tablet with ODIN for flashing a new bootloader fail because I cannot get into download mode anymore.
So I tried the root method by copying the Rooting-Samsung-Galaxy-Tab-10.1.zip to the root directory. Then I went to the stock recovery mode and choose the option "update from external sd card" to install the root. Unfortunately I get the following message: "E:unknown volume for path [/sdcard]". I cannot find any way to choose a file. I read the the mount point in ICS to /sdcard is set during the boot process so its not available in the stock recovery mode.
So I am kind of stuck now because I cannot use Odin and also cannot use the stock recovery mode to do anything.
I also tried the following:
Reset to factory defaults - Didnt helpt still cannot get into download mode
Install Mobile Odin to flash a stock bootloader - did not work because there is no root
Does anyone of you have an idea? I am really stuck at the moment and would appreciate any help.
Try the emergency firmware recovery or re initialization tools in Kies and see how you get on. Never used them myself though so don't know how they're supposed to work. (May just try to invoke download mode?! I dunno!)

I would try a comple, and I mean a COMPLETE drain of the battery. It'll take a week but maybe that's your best option

If you've got Clockwork Mod recovery installed, you should be able to install superuser to give you root permission.
Or are you still running stock recovery?

Hi, I was installing CWM and cyanogen on a Galaxy 5 that was supposedly rooted, but it was not, then i get a bootloop, retryed and got the same, then I tryed to install a downgrade through Odin but then I get a brick, and now everytime I turn on, normal or "download mode", I get this screen
[attached]
Help Please!
OneClick Unbrick is for all Samsung-Devices who uses Odin3. Maybe that works for you.
download another version of CWM and use it with Odin....
i recommended CWM v6.0.1.2 or CWM v5.5.0.4

Don't worry, this happened to me the first time I tried to install a custom rom aswel. Just hook your phone to your PC. Hold down "Vol down key", "Middle D-Pad Button", and "Power On/Off/Hang Up" keys to put the device into download mode. let the drivers install. download and open Odin. Odin is a Samsung program to flash android onto the device. You have 2 choices. You need an Ops File and the files for either a stock rom or a tar file of clockworkmod to install a custom rom. I know how scary this can be, for a week I had a bricked phone... email me if you need any of these files, I'll be happy to help a fellow G5 user
Tried everything!
The procedures mentioned to root or install CWM Recovery in Huawei x3 U8510 requires you to go to USB Debugging mode in Settings but my device does not have a working Stock ROM.
I am able to boot into the Stock Recovery mode (Volume + and power button) but unable to install CWM(tried several versions for U8510), SU, Custom ROM etc cuz it says signature verification failed even though I tried cmw zip files which were signed.
I tried going into download mode by pressing Volume - and power button that didn't work too. Even though the Huawei symbol came up I couldn't root the device using
Please Help!!!
P.S: I couldn't find any of the latest ROMs for this device too!
i managed it quite easy

hi mate dont know if you managed it yet but if you search google with the term u8510 root , its about the forth link down on the first page with the title "How to Root and Install ClockworkMod Recovery on the Huawei ..." (would post the link but wont let me as i aint been a member long enough) on that page scroll down and download the drivers, install with phone unpluged from computer, then plug phone in and it will install the drivers. then download the automatic root enabler and with the phone switched on as normal and plugged in the pc click the exe file and it will automatically shut down the phone and put it into fastboot mode, root it, install clockworkmod recovery and super user..... when the grey box with the text says finnish the phone will restart but is still in boot loader mode so make sure it says done at the bottom of the box unplug phone from pc, remove battery and put it back in to exit bootloader mode and switch on.
there you go its rooted and super user installed..... plus has clockwork mod recovery to install any custom rom you wish

This method makes my phone freeze at the bootup stage, the Huawei logo stays on the screen, while on the PC it says its <waiting for device> after trying to install clockworkmod recovery. Any ideas?
Hi all,
I need some help please.
I tried to root my sons galaxy young S6310N using a video on you tube
However at the 4.41 point I didnt have the yes- root option.
I themn rebooted and it went back into CWM recovery. v6.0.3.2
It's been stuck in this for 2 days now, I have searched everywhere for a solution but I'm lost now. I have information overload I think.
I have tried to install drivers through Kies but it won't recognise my phone in CWM recovery or in download mode.
I have tried to install a custom rom via sd card, it seems to work but reboots into CWM again.
I fear I may have made a mess of it now by messing around with things I know nothing about. I panicked really.
The phone was running jelly bean and is only a week old.
I can get adb but not sure how to use it properly.
Could someone please help?
Thanks in advance
sorted it myself
Hi, just in case anyone was interested I managed to sort this.
I put phone into download mode (holding vol - & menu & power) then pressed up at logo screen to enter download mode.
My pc then installed drivers automatically (something I had been struggling with in CWM recovery mode)
I then installed stock rom recovery.tar.md5 file using odin and the phone rebooted as normal.
I have given up trying to root it now, I may learn properly before attempting again, or may leave it.
Search for your device first before making a thread..!!

Good..but always use recovery for ur phone only..or make it for ur phone..
And do any changes in stock ROM after creating a BACKUP of the same..
ROOTING is not a difficult now-a-days but overcoming from the loss of time and data after BRICKING is so painful.
If you are not friendly with the commands and codes then use a software for that or follow up the WRITTEN guide..or use FARMAROOT app.
Head to thread...Thanks Mr. Bin4ry for this awesome method:
Rooting almost every phone
Enjoy..!!
Hello, sorry if I'm in the wrong forum, I'm new to XDA and rooting android devices in general.
I have a Samsung Galaxy Tab GT-P7500 (has both Wi-Fi and 3G on the back) and I tried to root it using this tutorial (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1239185). I followed it exactly except for a part where you're supposed to launch odin 3 1.85. Trying to run that program would just give me some korean letters and it would exit after closing the korean letters. I downloaded Odin 3 v3.04 thinking that the version doesn't matter. Ran all things fine, finished the tutorial and the ClockWord mod or w/e said root finished. After that I couldn't access the system root folder to change some permissions. I downloaded an app to check if my device is rooted and it says that it's not. Now when I try to access those two options (holding power button + volume down button) they don't even come up and I just keep seeing the galaxy tab logo when holding that combination. Other than that, the tablet works fine.
What do I do now? How do I get the recovery and download modes back? Help would be greatly appreciated, plz!!!
EDIT: I also have some kind of Superuser app that the process installed for me.
EDIT2: Apparently I can access recovery and download mode! What do I do now? (I have ClockworkMod Recovery v4.0.0.4)
Final Edit ( I hope): I fixed it!. I installed (flashed) Superuser from the ClockworkMod Recovery and now it says that I am rooted.

techman20, have you ever solved this? I ran to exact same issue and have been tried different methods for the past 2 days. I'm new to Android so need community's help.
Here is the current state of my device (GT-B9150 Samsung Homesync):
- In order to get root, flashed ROM MJ1 (TUR version), followed this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2497102
- After flash the device got very slow so I figured I need to wipe the data and cache partition
- There is no volume key of the device so I use adb to reboot to recovery mode (debug mode has been enabled earlier), again there is no key so I didn't know how to select in the screen (should have use adb command as well, I was not that familar with adb), instead I put into the command rm -r /data, then the device dead
- After reboot the device stuck in the bootloop: I see samsung logo and homesync logo, NO adb connection (I think the debugging mode is not on)
- I tried flash a few other versions of the ROM and it does not working as well, all stuck same at the bootloop
I figured if I can wipe the data and cache partition after a fresh installation of ROM the device could be saved.
Here are a few path that I see can solve this:
Option 1: Get into recovery mode, but I don't know the key combination, also adb is not working so seems can not use command line either
Option 2: Since I'm able to get into download mode, I can use Odin to flash some sort of bootloader with adb function, so that I can later use command to get into recovery mode
Option 3: Complete wipe out the device, re-partition using Odin
Since I'm new I don't exactly know if any options here makes sense and what are the risk for each. Also I don't have the pip for option 3. Would be great if any expert here can shed some light on, it's been bothered me for 2 entire days at weekend.
Thanks,
Is there anyone can please help me with this issue, or provide some insights?
Thanks

for boot loop you need to clean data and cache partition. To do that you need to go to recovery mode.
To do that, turn off the device , hold the power button. First you will see its power on, keep it pressed. And after 5s , you can home sync will rebooted to recovery.
Hi all, I know this is too old subject, but unfortunately I had my homesync flashed firmware through Odin and I did nand erase all, it is now stuck to Samsung homesync logo after booting. I know it is required wipe but how if no recovery is installed into the original firmware? any thought?
