[Q] Redux, 3.0.2, or KK? - AT&T Samsung Galaxy Note I717

I am starting to use more 4.1 based roms now
I'm curious to see people setups are.
If you tweak voltage or if you use a certain governor.

On any ICS or JB I've used recently ...
FJ 3.0.2 kernels, wheatley governor ....384 min. 1.6 max range ...
I never use UV/OV.....however ...
My latest favorite is CM9.1.0....with FJ's AOSP 3.0.2 ....same governor and CPU settings ....I'm gonna hang with CM9 for a bit ...g

Slim bean 3.1.0 with hOtcakez 3.0.2. Lulzactive/deadline 384/1620 is what I'm running at the moment.

ICS leak is running stable for me.
But if you want to stay on GB for stability and overclock reasons then I would recommend the Saurom ROM. Haven't tired the others so.

CM 7 vs 9 vs 10

I know we should not ask for the best rom... But I am just asking, which cm version do you like most and why do you like it... Just post your opinions...

I think the fastest is cm7, but less than 10 cm for the most points in antutu.
Sorry my bad english.
I thing cm7 better than cm9 and cm10 for gaming, but if you want get updated ROM, you can try cm9 or cm10

I prefer CM7 over CM9. I have tried both, and I really had some problems with games and some apps in CM9 because they aren't compatible. So, yes... CM9 has a pretty nice UI (better than CM7) But I choose CM7 because is faster I think, and most of all, because I use to play games a lot and is more compatible than ICS.
And you can also have a nice ICS look in CM7 by following THIS guide, so it looks really nice.

if it come to play HD game i like a rom that base on cm7, but since the game developer starting to move on ICS n up i have tried CM9 n CM10 including the rom that base on it. and i said CM10 or rom that base on CM10 is more responsive to play game BUT if the game requirement is ICS or up dont put ur hope to play that game cause usually that game require an high end hardware
CM9 or CM10 draining more battery, i thought it cause by our ram is only 300mb+ so the system keep the cpu busy to release resources
both are good but cm9(and all ics roms!) has a better response on touch screen
in performance cm7 is so much better!
on cm9 i use these governor and I/O:
smartassv2-sio
cm7:
smoothass-sio/bfq

Sent from my LG-P690 using xda premium
So any solution to improve battery in dis ROM ... I really need a solution cause I love using JB in my p506
Sent from my LG-P506 using xda premium
Disable sync when you don't need it, disable wifi or 3g (when you don't need them, again), set min CPU at 122MHz and use Conservative governor; set Performance or SmartassV2 only when you know you need a responsive phone. Set 2G even when data is disabled.
Anyother tweak which really improves battery life like any flashable zip or anything like that?????
Sent from my LG-P506 using xda premium
Actually, check out popdog's Slimroms release. Its JB 4.1.2, but its rock solid, good battery life and a slew of configuration options
Is this rom stable ????and will it run properly on my p506????
Sent from my LG-P506 using xda premium
Tip
During night switch on airplane mod
and choose power save governor at 122mhz .
By this the battery increases upto 10%.!
Check by your self
I am doing this from 3 days and got good results

(Discussion) Blast To The Past

Does anyone else here go back to old ROMs for not only stability but memories as well? If so, tell me what ROM and why you want back. I'll start:
ROM: TeamObjection SGS3 ICS
Reason: I love the smoothness ICS OC kernels and the stability of ICS. Best of all its just like the ATT update!
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I717 using xda app-developers app
I went back to ICS w/ custom kernel for BLN and apps. I figured I'd just save the JB experience for when I upgrade in a few months.
Have you been eating the special brownies again? Lol Do you reinstall Windows 98 for the hell of it too?
Just teasin ya!
I never looked back. Ice cream is melted over gingerbread to me. Once I tasted the jelly bean, it became the only one for me. That is until someone gives me a key to unlock some pie!
Novena
No the past is dead but if I did it would be one of dagr8 ROMs hybrid, king kang or saurom I used to love those ROMs.

The ICS version. It was super stable, zero problems out of it that I recall. I used the JB version but as I recall it rebooted like crazy.

[Q] Are there any kernels for kitkat roms?

Just wondering if there are any kernels that I can flash for kitkat roms. The rom I'm on atm has cpu oc abilitys but I was also wanting the gpu oced abit as well. I tried using kernel tuner but only the adreno series are only supported. Also if I have to flash to a jb rom for any kernel that supports gpu oc or has it pre oc then I will do that as well. But if any kitkat kernels are out there that I can flash then I'd rather do that. Thanks for any help.

Look in the original android development thread. Many people swear by Über. Also a lot of uber users have good luck with trickster mod for kernel settings
