[Q] Jb/ics Miui question! - HTC EVO 3D

just a quick question, with both builds of Miui (ics/jb) i notice that the capacitive keys seem to vibrate on touch even when the screen is off. is there a fix within the rom to turn them off?

You capacitive buttons shouldn't be responding when screen is off unless you have sweep2wake.
Check whether you have sweep2wake in your kernel. If you do, turn it off. Use an app like kernel tuner to do that.

[Q] hardkey backlight always on

[Q] Flashlight on ICS kernel

Anyone know how to get the flashlight to stay on after the screen turns off on ICS based kernels? The light will stay on for a few seconds after the screen goes off but will then turn off until I press the power button to wake the phone back up. I've tried a few different apps with the same results. The only kernel that seems to work is Sebastian's over clocked kernel but I assume that it is based of GB. I'm sorry if this has been answered before, I tried searching but found nothing.

1st of all: what phone , what rom , what kernel, please.
backlight leds of keys are usally standalone (nothing to do with with screen), but it can be that the one who replaced the screen messed up some connector/cable
also keep in mind that the leds power off after some time (normal bevavious if u dont touch them they just stay on for 5-10 seconds (idk exactly i allways power of mine))
may try to set them to allways on to see if the show some uncommon behaviour
wt19i xNXT 11.1 stock kernel

[Q] Softkeys backlight

I recently switched to CM11 and now my softkeys lits 5 seconds whenever screen is tapped. I can switch this LEDs on or off, I can even change timeout but I can't make softkeys lit only when they are pressed (instead of screen).
I checked all settings in "Display & lights" and "Buttons" section but can't find anything useful for my situation.
I'm using CM11-installer with default CM11 kernel and latest TWRP recovery.
** Solved with AGN! PureCM kernel

[Q] Lockscreen doesn't work properly

I have a Zara UL running IC sense 6 and the latest Kofila Kernel. Lately, when I access the lockscreen, sometimes the touchscreen doesn't respond. The physical buttons still work because I can change volume and I can access the APM but the lockscreen doesn't respond to touches and I'm worried because sometimes I have to pull out the battery and turn it back on for it to respond otherwise it won't work... any solutions pls?

I've run across the same issues, think it's related to the tap2wake and/or sweep2wake.
To get out of it without pulling your battery, turn off your screen, then sweep to wake across the < and home buttons until the lockscreen comes up.
Turning off tap2wake made the issue stop for me (either use a kernel tweaking app, or edit /sys/android_touch/doubletap2wake from "1" to "0")
