Just thought I'd let you folks know about Contacts+ , the contacts app I'm using on my stock now.
It is totally packed with features (chiefly, integration with social networks, WhatsApp integration and smart ordering), looks absolutely lovely, and just elevates the Android experience when using a smartphone.
As an added bonus, it pimps out your SMS and call log appearance and functionality as well.

Well you posted the message with a Nexus 4 not a Note 2 from Verizon, and the app has tons of bad reviews which have the same problems. So either your the dev and your making money money off of it or your just out of country and decided not to take your Verizon Note 2 and are one of the few people not having problems with the app.

I'm just wondering where you're coming from. You have to admit, it looks suspect that your only like is from the app developer.
I appreciate you trying to contribute - nothing wrong there. However, some of your previous efforts were in bad taste, I.e. -- posting other's work without credit. It seems you're trying a different approach now, so I can appreciate that.

I have no dog in this fight, but having tinkered with this app for a bit, it actually does have some pretty nice features. Seems like the devs put a lot of thought into how SMS, phone and contacts interact...quite intuitive. I will definitely give it a few days of testing.

It looks like it has potential. I couldn't uncheck the box that makes it my default sms app so I deleted it for now. I'll try it again later.
I don't think it was syncing with my facebook very well either. It only synced 19 contacts

You can turn sms off inside the contacts+ app. Thats what I did

For real this post belongs in the android app development section. These themes and app threads aren't meant for people to promote their app. You might not be the developer but judging by the fact the thread is almost identical makes it look the the dev is trying to advertise their app, and this isn't the place at all. There are people that are actually taking their time and making mods/themes and all the threads keep getting pushed to the bottom of the list because of threads like this. I posted a themed app last night and its sad that its 10 posts below this already. If people want an alternate contacts app they will do what everyone else does, and search the playstore, not come to a device specific thread looking for a copy/pasted review of the app. At least you didn't completely kang this particular developers work like your aosp browser/mms/miui music threads.

Posting the APK is great, but the question remains; why is it not visible in the market for the AT&T Note? I've had several examples of apps recently that I was surprised are not available in the market.

Bah, I had one more... Not remembering it offhand.. None of the ones I've seen are for a higher SDK, as I've sideloaded all of them fine.. But why? I wish the market gave the reason an app was "incompatible". But I suppose "Carrier restricted" would have people raging.
The Groupon app is in the Google Play market, it just isn't compatible with the I717 GNote. I sent Groupon an email and they responded saying they are working to make the app compatible. Who knows when that will be though?

In the mean time, check if AppBrain has this functionality.

How else is it going to notify you of the apps that are on sale? Can't do it if it is not running.
Since I have apple and android, I use a site call appaggie. I use the RSS feeds to alert me.

I'd rather the app notify me in the notification bar or just when I log in the app rather than it start at boot... many apps don't need to run at boot but still push notifications to you. Draw something the game for instance...

Yes I get your point. Maybe it is a funding issue. Using airpush or similiar if there is one may be an extra cost to the developer. Hopefully it is a route that more developers will use in the future.

I'm looking to create an app for my deli/restaurant and I'm a chef that knows my way around android but nothing on this level. I want to hire an app developer to create a basic app with my menu, specials, Facebook etc. WWW.Faldonis.com is my website (don't laugh at the website... Its better to have an amateur website than no website at all. IMO, you'd probably be better off developing a decent mobile version of your website. Everything you want can be done through a smartphone browser pretty easily. Plus the same website will work on Android, iOS, Blackberry, etc instead of an app which would work only with one OS.

Yeah this is what a dev just pmd me. Makes more sense to have a mobile friendly app. I think it would be neat to have an actual "Faldonis" app that opened the mobile version also. And yes... even though my website isn't easy on the eyes... it does have almost 40,000 visits to the home page

1st. Setting the op's enthusiasm aside. The statue in that picture happens to be legitimate art. Rooted deep in mythology and history. I suggest you look very close at common Greek sculpture and other historical cultural artwork you will find much the same. If your squeamish about some marble anatomy I might suggest never going to a museum nor symposium where anatomically correct sculpture is displayed.
Google Persius you will find in mythology a better read then Twilight or whatever else passes for "a good book" today.

I'm going to be controversial here, and say....Just ignore it, AndreiiLux loves to get a reaction, loves battering people whose knowledge doesn't match his own.
This has been seen in action recently, where nothing was done about it as it was a personal conflict with another guy.
It appears to me from comments he made a while back that his humanity and soul were sucked from him long ago by the corporate world he inhabits, indeed he now sees this world as the "real world"...........and yes AL, that comment was made based on a statement you made.
All you can do is pray for his soul and feel pity for him

Actually it sounds like a good idea. So just to make sure I understand u right, if I wanted to talk about my favorite sports team or even shower curtains I can start a topic of some sort or pose a question and whoever wants to respond to me can do so? It sounds somewhat familiar. I think the iPhone appstore had a similar app of some sort a while back but apple pulled it for some reason. I could be wrong on that but the premise does sound familiar. I'm gonna give it a shot. I'll post back my impressions if ur interested.

It's a tad lonely in there right now. Looks like ill literally have the very first post regardless of topic. But hey, if it ever catches on and becomes a household app, I can say I was the first person to ever start a discussion. I do like the idea though. One thing I did notice is that it lacks a miscellaneous category if u want to discuss something that's sorta out of the ordinary or 'out there'. What if I wanna talk about wheat bread crust or maybe the chupacabra?? Just a suggestion. Maybe u can add a miscellaneous category in a future update

This app is banging yo I love it. I hope this blows up bigger then facebook, and Twitter. Great work brother you deserve millions for this app ! Can I add this to my new Rom I created? I havnt released my Rom to public yet I'm still working on some bugs, and tweeks but will be done in a week then il throw it up on the net.. my new Rom is called DirtyDozen its a sick Rom been running on my DNA for two months I have few more issues and bugs I have to work out! Can you pm me and we can talk about putting this in my Rom for its first release! Hope I can it will help you get the word out for it. I will also invest in this if your looking for investors!
