Increasing volume on galaxy s2 - Galaxy S II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello XDA.
I'm looking for either a rom with a good and loud volume for music, like Spotify, and play music. Or a good way to increase volume on my phone. I want it loud like when I used to have my iPhone and Gnex.
Thanks

How to increase speaker volume?

Hello,
I have seen some threads on this while searching but those were old threads.
What are some of the method that people are using to increase the speaker volume of this phone without sounds distortion?
Please share your methods as I would like to increase speaker sound without losing much quality.
I tried AudioBoostSGS2, but the sound distortion was too much, and quality was very bad.
Thanks
Try the volume up button.
Or http://market.android.com/details?id=org.projectvoodoo.louder
(sorry, didn't realise it was only for headphones)
Does Voodoolouder really increase speaker volume? Noticible difference?
I do not want to increase headphones volume, but want speaker volume to increase.

I might work if you root.
Maybe if you'd indicated you were not rooted, would help others trying to help you? Be to the point, but details...........
I am rooted and using checkrom hd4 and custom kernal

Mate, your confusing me. You said volume+ app doen't work on stock ROms (indicating you might be stock). No you have CheckROM, so why not nan-droid backup (just in case) and try it ? Best of luck.

What is the best way to make the s2 sound quality better

After reading loads. I'm a bit overwhelmed by all the mods and stuff.
So can anyone examination what's the best way to make the sound quality better?
There's loads of bits from the voodoo side of things or the beats audio I'm not sure..
However I am a audiophile and would like the best sound and also more volume.
Thanks in advance

Voodoo Louder will give you up to 6dB more volume with headphones/headset, Voodoo Sound doesn't work with SGS2 as the Yamaha DAC isn't compatible with it. Best bet is to get a decent audio app with EQ/bass boost/widening/etc.
Other than that, a decent set of headphones/canalphones should make the sound 'acceptable' tho not as good as a phone with a Wolfson DAC like the Galaxy S (or so people say).
try some pro headphones
use voodoo louder
use dsp manager
I'll be buying voodoo louder tomorrow. I test the quality on a pair of sennheiser HD650s into a Neco Soundlab custom headphone amp so there's no issues there. :-D
So I take it that the beats audio mods don't work at all?

Some say Beats works well while others say it makes no difference at all. Could be a placebo effect but not sure. Read the Beats thread here on XDA's Gslaxy S2 forums or make a backup and then try for yourself

the beats audio mod is nothing but a equalizer setting
try power amp in my experience it gave the best audio quality

+1 for PowerAmp in terms of best audio quality. Better than the other apps I've tried. Also using Voodoo Louder which does not affect quality but does increase volume in headphones by 1.5, 3.0, or 6.0 decibels.

Ok this is what I'm doing. On my neat rom I have installed beats audio and so far WOW I can actually hear the sound stage and the bass is way better. I will buy voodoo louder tomorrow and put it on the resurrection remix rom and see if I can indeed hear the difference.

Ok so I've ended up putting both voodoo louder and beats on both roms and they both compliment each other and now the music is amazing! So if you want good sound quality do that. It works for me

Meh I don't touch EQs or dsps because all your doing is coloring the audio I've found with beats and voodoo louder and my sennheiser mx500s when I'm out or HD650s when I'm indoors both are excellent

And Beats audio does what exactly ?
I have a marketing slogan for Beats audio:-
"Beats Audio - for people who can't tell the difference between a 32kbps MP3 & a FLAC with their ears !".

PowerAmp is the way to go, thx everyone, is IE6 good for the s2?
Sent from my GT-I9100 using XDA
I use Beats, PowerAmp ( Flat EQ settings ), and extweaks ( to jack up the db on the headphone socket same process as vodoo louder I guess) and a pair of Sennheiser IE8 earphones which has a very nice 16ohm Independence

What you are experiencing is a known bug.
Use Extweaks + DSP manager to boost headset volume.
Some third-party music and video players have hyper volume boost for headset

Oh, IT WORK! Thanks for all!
Hi U all. Im in a hurry
Headphone volume was perfect until yesterday when I connect my S2 to ax external speakers, everything fine but today a noticed Ive lost volume but in only 1 headphone speaker.
So I tried other headphones but with same resoults; after that I plug to the external speakers again but, after that I used the headphones and rigth now volume is almost cero.
SO: volume with external speakers partially work (not as loud as before)
volume with headphones is almost cero (al maximun)
I´ve flashed a stock JB rom but problem remains. I also flashed dorimanx kernel and, stweaks helped just a little bit
Im affraid Im in front to a hardware issue
Any suggestions for me ??
Thanks

[Q] Weak audio quality in CM10.1

Is there any mod to improve the audio quality in CM10.1 ???, it's very bad and has a very low volume, I tried Pure Audio Studio V1.0 and ViPER4Android_FX, but it didn't help. By the way i'm using Slim Bean 4.2.2 Build 8 with it's Kernel.
