Hi,
i have problem with my Novo 7 Paladin. One week ago i installed Google Maps update. After that my tablet was very strange. Sometimes when it go to sleep it won't wake up. I had to press power on again. Later that week there was some graphical glitch on screen (blinking colors). And now i can't boot at all. So i tried the SD card method to recover system. The problem is that i can't boot. Combination of keys like VOL+ and POWER or VOL+ and RESET doesn't work. Then i tried the original USB Boot Tool from Ainol. This tool doesn't work either.
USB Boot Tool
1) install correct USB drivers (press VOL+ and plug USB)
select drivers from tool/drivers/4770
2) unplug USB and start USBBootTool.exe
3) press VOL- and plug USB
4) it says BOOT... please waite0% (attachment boottool.JPG)
5) after some time of waiting the error apears (attachment boottool2.JPG)
Can someone help me please?

Tested, same result.
when you connect your tablet to the PC, do you see any devices appear/disappear?
if you use linux, try lsmod (LSMOD lowercase) to see if your tablet shows on the list.

If it appears in devices, it's not completely dead. I don't have enough windows experience, but other people had occasional success installing correct drivers and reflashing the device using Ingenic USB Boot Tool or something like that. If the reflash process does not start, most probably it's because you have installed incorrect drivers.

Im trying to unlock Sony xperia sola rite now.... it wont stay on fastboot mode ( volume up + plug usb) when i press volume up, the light strip turns blue for a second or two, but then goes into charging while shutdown mode... I chek *#*#7378423#*#* -- Service info > Configuration > Rooting Status it says - YES// I try USB debugging ON and OFF... I try to stay on fastboot with my home pc windows 7 and my notebook windows vista..Battery 95-100% charged... What i do wrong?

how can i install drivers without connecting device?
I solved the problem)
1) Open device manager in windows
2) Connect usb cable to your phone pushing vol up button
3) Device manager will show you fastboot device for 2-3 sec (before the phone go to charge mode) Right click on fastboot device and install drivers from C:\Android\sdk\extras\google\usb_driver
4) Reconnect usb cable pushing volup button
I have the same problem but I dont know if cuz my PC is way too slow. I dont even have a chance for it to show up But I know it connected cuz of the alert sound.

Haha I solved my problem by installing the driver in safe mode. Things went much quicker here )
The solution that worked for me was:
Keep the Device Manager open
Connect the phone and quickly choose to change driver
Disconnect the phone again (because it goes into normal mode)
Choose to install a driver from the computer, choose "All devices" and "have disk".
Browse to the folder with the .inf
Now, before clicking Next, connect the phone again and quickly hit Next.
I think it took me two hours of googling and trial before I could finally get a custom ROM installed...

...which was enormously helpful. Thanks!! (Can't push the thanks button as I don't have enough posts yet.
BTW, I used the method with the Xperia Go, so obviously the method is not limited to a particular model.
It works
Really helpful!
Hey
I can't even know where will the fastboot device appear to change driver. What can I do? My sola goes in charge mode very quickly I plugged my usb cable in almost 100 times and tried everything.
Okay, I'm totally lost. When I hold volume down button "s1boot download" appers in device manager, but it can't install a proper driver. I know I need s1boot fastboot and hold volume up button but it doesn't appears. Only the portable device with an H:/ partition
Make sure phone is OFF
While plugging in the USB cable, hold and keep holding the UP VOLUME key
You will hear a system sound played
Do all these while you have Device Manager on screen
Exclamation mark appears on the ADB driver icon
Chose the option to look for the driver in your hard disk - point to where the drivers are.
If using Win8 then you need to disable signing of drivers first (search on net how to)
So far you managed to do this or not?

Hey, nothing is working for me. I did the steps above, but with no chance to install any driver. At the driver manager, the s1boot fastboot-thing is showing up for some seconds and then disappear. i can't change the driver or install the new one.
Any suggestions? I want to change to cm9 so much, because the stock rom really sucks...it is slow and buggy
Edit: I found this post http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1554632 and it works for me!!!
Edit 2: It seems, that you have to do this steps everytime you flash the boot.img to the phone.
I did everything. I installed the driver but when I hold volume up while plug in usb, the led does not turn to BLUE. It turns pink or purple, some kind of colour. What should I do guys? I've gone mad.
Thanks

Does't work!!
help someone??:crying::crying:
Doesnt work for me either. I tried everything for hours, but i only see a purple LED for a few seconds and then the phone mode changes into charging.
All drivers are installed.
Flashtool doesnt recognize the Sola either.
Is there a way to flash a recovery without having the Sola bootloader unlocked?
Greetings
still no fastboot
device manager opened
phone off, holding vol. up plugging in usb
NOTHING happens on computer no sound, device manager doesn't refreshes, no purple led on the phone, just enters charging quickly
tried another usb port
tried to enter fastboot from flashtool,
tried to enter with command adb reboot bootloader / adb reboot fastboot
NOTHING happens just reboots normally
So I don't have a clue what's going on there, may the fastboot disappeard or broken?
BUT I used the fastboot for a couple weeks ago in this computer in this usb port, since that I tried some rom does it matter?

Solution
For those who still dont get it to work by "Nerre's" method.
The procedure will be same. You have to download latest android_winusb.inf file. I couldnt get it to work bcz of this. I was using the file from sony site. It was giving me some certificate error. Then I used the lates file downloaded from sdk kit. Then this procedure worked.
Make sure to choose "Android Boot loader Interface" after you select ...winusb.inf file. Then before clicking next, reconnect your device in fastboot mode.
Hope this helps someone.

Once you connect your phone via usb and while you are pressing volume up button, on windows go start-> right click on computer->devices manager. Now you should see your device. Right click and install drivers manually from the folder of the drivers you downloaded.
Notice that you have to be fast since and that maybe you will have to repeat this procedure several times since firsts times phone remains on fastboot for really few seconds.
You can also try another way. Download and install latest flashtool. After that go to Computer-> C:/-> Flashtool-> Drivers-> run Flashtool-drivers. Install the drivers for your device.

Dear All,
I have been struggling to install fastboot drivers on Windows 10 for my Phone (D6503) for almost a month now.
I tried many of the options suggested here like disabling Driver signature enforcement, using the drivers they suggested, etc etc but nothing has worked yet.
Sony Flashtool only recognizes ADB and not Fastboot.
Request for your inputs on this.
Thank you!
Are you using latest version of flashtool? I had this problem with the old version and then I installed drivers by disabling driver signature enforcement. Now it works fine.

I did try that, and it installs successfully (even with the old version) but FlashTool does not recognize the device in Fastboot when I do a "Check Drivers" in tool and cmd prompt as well. Am I missing something here?
What is the Device Manager entry for Z2 Fastboot mode ? (For ADB, I get sa111 or so)
Thanks!

Yup.
It was a noob error on my part. I thought it will show both ADB and Fastboot devices simultaneously.
Now the Device Manager shows 'Sony Fastboot Device' upon connecting it in Fastboot mode. Hopefully I can now root it without any more problems.
Thanks!

Walkthrough
Hold down either SHIFT key while tapping or clicking on Restart, available from any Power icon.
Tip: Power icons are available throughout Windows 10 and Windows 8 as well as from the sign-in/lock screen.
Note: This method does not seem to work with the on-screen keyboard. You'll need to have a physical keyboard connected to your computer or device to open the Advanced Startup Options menu this way.
Wait while the Advanced Startup Options menu opens.
-troubleshoot
-advanced options
-startup settings
-(press 7) disable driver signature enforcement
Wait for the opening of the windows
download and install z2 drivers
Search forum [Drivers] FlashTool Xperia Driver Pack (v1.5)

Heh, we're all a noob at some point
btw, another similar bug is when you use FlashTools "Fastboot Restart" option, or Fastboot boot into recovery.
Sometimes your Device get's stuck!
You see the blue LED on the device but your device won't be seen by the computer.
Only way to solve this error is by using another USB port on the computer.
Does anyone still have this file available to download? [Drivers] FlashTool Xperia Driver Pack (v1.5) Seems DoomLords links are no longer valid. Thank you in advance
Hello, trying to custom ROM my Z3CT. My bootloader should be unlockable (verified on sony webpage), but I am unable to connect tablet in fastboot mode. I have installed USB drivers via device manager, I have also downloaded platform tools. I turn on my device holding VOLUME UP+POWER and plug in USB cable. Device now shows in my PC devices as "S1 Service". It seems like there aren´t any drivers, so I tried to download USB drivers with android_winusb file. But it won´t update. When I run command "fastboot devices" nothing returns. How can I make my tablet talk to the PC? I am sure bootloader is unlockable.
Same situation here. Did you find any solutions?

Same problem here too. I do get the blue LED light, but still no response.
I think you have got not all necessary drivers installed. One way to get them is installing Flashtool http://www.flashtool.net/
Boot Z3TC up and connect it via USB. Then start Flashtool. If ADB-connection is enabled in Z3TC developer settings, Flashtool will recognize your Z3TC.
Then start c:\flashtools\drivers\Flashtool-drivers.exe - this should have been downloaded meanwhile by flashtool. Before this, you should disconnect Z3TC.
Install all drivers Flashtool-drivers.exe will offer. You will need to disable UAC to do this. Driver will stay installed after reboot and enabled UAC again.
Then Z3TC will be recognized by fastboot.

Thanks for this step by step manual. I can follow the process for the first part. Volume down and start unlocking the bootloader, but then one needs to unplug the device and press volume up and from this point on nothing happens. Tried several times and sometimes after the red led the blue one lights up, but still the process doesn't continue. (Drivers are all installed)
Any suggestions?
