[Q] 4.2.1 frustration -____- - Vibrant Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Good evening, all..
I just flashed the Slimbean 4.2.1 RC-2 to my device and as I went into the market, some of the same apps I had on the 4.2.1 RC-1 ROM earlier this week (as well as Remics-JB 4.2.1) are now saying "Device not compatible with this version". Of course, I'm aware that updates take time to come for newer Operating Systems, but as I stated earlier, these are the same apps I was just using on my phone with the SAME OS... -_____- It's annoying since I had actually gone through setting up RemICS-JB a couple days ago and then flashed this new update, but now I can't finish the setup because of this ridiculous issue. Anyone else run into this problem with Slimbean 4.2.1 RC-2? Or any other 4.2.1 ROM? Any ideas what the issue is?

It tends to come from a dpi mismatch. Read the slim thread for help.

Jellybam q&a

Hi there. I hope anyone could possibly answer my inquiry with JELLYBAM ROM. I have an S3 and clean installed it using JellyBAM 4.1.2 version. after the installation and setting it up with my gmail account, it shows an error message about the audio enhancement did not properly installed. then it won't play any audio at all.
I don't know what I missed during installation. Please advise.
Thanks in advance.
try to reinstall.if it still doesnt fix it,try to identify the problem by trying out stuff.if still nothing, try to search.last resort, try other ROMs.
your problem is an uncommon one so its hard to identify it without others experiencing it and fixing it.a simple reflash/reinstall usually does the trick.
Jellybam 4.1.2 ROMS vs PACman roms
Hi!
I've been trying a lot of different roms, and lately been running Jellybam 4.1.2 - versions and currently running PACman. As it seems, Jellybam roms are getting updated all the time (with both issues being solved, and new problems occuring), where PACman v 18 hasn't been updated since Dec 23.
On to my question : Are there any major differences in the Jellybam 4.1.2 ROMS and PACman, and which one has the best "future"?

Newest CM 10.0 for AT&T Galaxy S3?

Could anyone provide me with a link to the latest CyanogenMod cm10 (stable or nightly) for the AT&T Galaxy S3?
I have spent all day trying to get DirectoryBind to play nice with the newest nightlies based on 4.2.1 with no success. I have posted a plea for help in response to another user experiencing similar DirectoryBind woes at this link:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1410262&page=126
However, until someone comes along with a solution for this issue, I want to get the latest version of cm10 based on 4.1.2 on my Galaxy S3 but can't find a link for it anywhere. CyanogenMod update on the phone only lists versions on cm-10.1, even with "All versions (incl. Nightlies)" selected.
I am currently running 10-20121127-NIGHTLY-d2att on my S3. While it is fairly stable, there are a few issues I was hoping would be ironed out before the team made the jump to 4.2.1, namely the fact that the home button won't wake the device a majority of the time.
If anyone could help me out, I would be immensely grateful!!!

[Q] Driver issues a thing of the past??

Hey,
Apologies if this has been asked and answered in other threads.
I have not had my Atrix rooted in a long time and the reason has been because we did not have the drivers to make the ICS and Jelly Beans roms work smoothly.
From my brief gander over the forum today there appears to have had new life breathed into Atrix dev.
So my question; if I re-root and try something like EPinter's CM 10.1 rom will I get all the graphical glitches I had about 6 or 7 months ago???
You may still have some issues. Cm 9 and cm10.1 are in an alpha stage. They are not ready to be used on a primary phone.

[Q] Couple of ROM questions

Just as a quick intro, I'm not a total noob, but I'm no expert either. I had an OG Droid that I rooted and had installed several ROMS before upgrading to a Droid Razr. I decided to root this one also and I'm running CM 10.1.3 with JellyBean X kernel, all installed with Safestrap.
I had some issues with my baseband not working properly with CM, so I decided to try to install a clean version of Jelly Bean to see if that helped the problem. The ROM I was going to download required me to install BMM 3.0.4 which I did. Once that was done, I rebooted and lo and behold the phone booted into the original Verizon version of Jelly Bean. At this point I have not installed anything but BMM. Why did this happen? I thought I had done a wipe when I installed CM. Is this because I installed CM into a second slot and now BMM is booting to the original slot? As far as I know, CM is still on the phone somewhere. How can I get back to it? Is it going to be a problem as far as phone performance to have both of them on the system at the same time?
Finally, like everyone else, my goal is to get the best performance out of this phone. I would like to avoid the stock ROM due to all the bloatware. Is the clean JB a good option? Will this fix the baseband problem (poor to no service)? Is there a baseband fix I can use in conjunction with CM?
Thanks and sorry for all the questions.
Not sure if you are just looking @ AOSP ROMs, but I've done well with the bionx ROM: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=45291834:
Its stock based, haven't had any issues and its different with some Xperia launcher and whatnot. Has a lot of options/tweaks in dashboard app as well..

Dokdo ROM M440s

So as hectic as it was for me to find a perfect rom, for some reasons i couldnt find a lollipop one. i am currently using cm12.1+devil kernel (which is giving major FCs during installations of apk's and randoms for some reasons despite clean installs) as thats the only option i had other than dokdo that got discontinued and site/server everything is just down.
Can anyone please provide me file/link/mirror if possible?
i am to use s3 for next 2 weeks and i can really use a cm based lollipop rom, so if you're reading this and can, do leave a reply, thanks.
