Hello, I've been a lurker for some time, but I wanted to start doing something so I have a question.
I want to know how to patch, and was wondering if anyone here can point me to a post or thread that could help me, because so far I've come up dry.
More specifically, I want to be able to apply this patch to this rom.
Any and all help is appreciated.

This is not exactly easily implemented as you dont need just some"files", butan entire framework...

Playing videos from phone to tv has also been removed from this rom, no reply on forum. Went back to stock.

I agree with the others, why would anybody want to wait for Samsung butchered jb when you can have it now pretty much stock as Google intended. I'm waiting till they get a little bit more complete / stable then jumping ship!

YOU WILL NOT GET ANY UPDATES IF YOU ARE ROOTED... stock rom or not if you are rooted then no more ota updates.. you will have to just install by flashing your rooted phone.

I agree with you on waiting for a stable release. I need something I know will work, but I'm very excited that CM has moved to JB so quickly.
The only OTA update I need is a download of my next custom ROM.

Well I like cm mod but, I'm going to miss the camera app that I love so much. If there is a way to port it to cyangenmod then I'm in

There's no way to port that over. It requires TW framework and libs which cannot be ported over because it is very different.

CM10 > Samsung in general. I had to briefly flash back to my stock Samsung ICS nandroid backup today after running CM10 for the past 5 days, and it seemed incredibly slow and choppy compared to CM10. I was blown away at the difference.

How can we get it now? I have the Verizon i535... I don't think there is a stable rom yet.
As all other posted, by using CM10.

As the title states, is CRT animation available for the jelly bean roms that we now have?
I have done a fair bit of searching, couldn't get a conclusive answer so thought i'd post a question.
My apologies if it's blatantly obvious, i simply couldn't find a straight answer.
Many thanks.
It is available on aosp and aokp roms and few stock sammy roms....i couldnt tell you which ones though.

In the future please search for an answer before asking. This gets asked all the time.
Now to answer you question rooting and unlocking to flush a custom ROM is the easiest way. You can do it without, but you have to mod every app that you want yourself

Yes also it's important to tell us the build number (or at least last digits) because we have two official builds and both are 4.1.1

its ll4
it says ll4
its super simple to root it and flash and I think thats your best bet for having all your apps multiwindow'ed. I had my doubts (only rooted once before and had a tricky process) but its really simple this time around. Just DL some files click a few buttons and your done in under 5 mins. I'm too lazy to find links and whatnot but if you are genuinely interested I can at least send you some stuff on how to root your phone.
Just follow this guide to root unlock and flash a ROM. It's the best walk through around
