What is included?
The sbf file of the newest Chinese xt910 jellybean rom.
Installation
MAKE A FULL BACKUP OF YOUR SYSTEM, USER DATA BEFORE USING THE FILE BELOW!
1. Download the file
2. Download Motorola Driver and RSD Lite
3. Connect your Razr with your computer in fastboot mode
4. Flash via RSD until the process bar shows a "PASS".
5. Enjoy!
Note
I did some changes over this sbf file. I deleted the cdt file and erase the flash command from the flash.xml to avoid the upgrade of bootloader.
Don't worry, you will certainly able to flash this sbf flawlessly and downgrade back to ICS with relevant ICS sbf file.
PS Flashing this sbf file to Non-Chinese Razr requires erasing CID of your razr. FLASH AT YOUR OWN RISK!

Thats the same version as Frasertag's nandroid
Hey, that's the version I posted here. It is less stable than the one from OTA.
I believe that Frasertag based his nandroid on an earlier FXZ.

I check over and over from the Chinese forum, my sbf file is really the official sbf.
People who are wondering why there two versions of the sbf can be explained by either of the following:
1. Leak vs official sbf
2. Internal divergence. That means RAZR which preinstalled ICS for sales has a internal usable storage of 9.3gb while RAZR which preinstalled gingerbread will have a internal storage of 8g. The extra 1.3g memory is the benefit of web top removal.
My sbf file is the version provided for gingerbread RAZR. As I am not the creator of this file I cannot 100% guarantee it is official. But in Chinese forum, they claim that it is an official. The version number flashed may be different by users because I don't know whether erasing CDT for flashing gives same result with not deleting CDT. Anyway flash if you are interested.

Root for CN CDT 5 --> http://www.projectlense.com/RazrSpyder/Root
Aaaaand here goes my ultraclean nandroid backup along with all files you'll need to create a working installation of the system from fastboot-p2b_spyder umts_spyder-user-4.1.2-6.7.2_GC-384-402-release-keys-ChinaRetail-CN_chn.zip FXZ in a Boot Menu Manager-friendly way.
Download the files below:
boot.img
device_tree.bin
nandroid backup of /system
recovery.img
bp.img
Then follow these steps:
Enter Boot Menu Manager settings.
Set up a slot for this firmware. Tick just the 2nd-init option.
Enter Boot Menu Manager recovery.
Back up CID. Store the backed up CID in a safe place.
Erase CID.
Flash the radio via Boot Menu Manager recovery from bp.img.
Switch to the slot which you just set up.
Restore /system from the provided nandroid backup (extract directory and files from 6.7.2_GC-384-402.7z into clockworkmod/backup directory in either sdcard).
Flash Google apps package (either from Google or from Motorola).
Flash Superuser package (I prefer SuperSU).
Reboot into bootloader. Enter AP Fastboot.
Flash JB kernel: moto-fastboot flash boot boot.img.
Flash JB device tree: moto-fastboot flash devtree device_tree.bin.
Flash JB recovery: moto-fastboot flash recovery recovery.img.
Alternatively, you may flash this radio while in AP Fastboot: moto-fastboot flash radio radio.img, but it will unpack files into /cache, then reboot into recovery, flash from /cache and erase /cache afterwards! You have been warned if you use the original /cache patition for anything else than designed by Motorola (e.g. Boot Menu Manager with the default slot layout).
plz help urgently i m stuk on step 11 how to flash .img files plz help
You have to hold both volume keys when you turn on your RAZR. Highlight "AP Fastboot" by pressing volume down, choose with volume up.
The files can be flashed using moto-fastboot (Linux) or eprj-fastboot (Windows). Please search the forum for howtos.

Flashing with RSD Lite 6.1.4 to my cid deleted European XT910. Will update this post for the result.
You'll probably have to format your internal SD card as flash layout has changed (space occupied by webtop was merged with internal SD card). Further to this, it's likely that CDT has been modified so you can't go back to ICS.

It is worse. It flashed successfully but now i can't connect phone to pc using adb, ap fastboot. It is just not detected.
Might be a Windows driver issue (Perhaps Chinese firmware returns other USB product IDs?), mine works flawlessly with Linux tools. You should have tried safer nandroid method first, modified the XML to not flash CDT or replaced CDT with the one you already have on your device.

Thanks for the tip, for a moment that i thought i messed up the device badly with this. Now i am flashing ics fastboot to unbrick the device, in the meantime we'll see if downgrade to ics is possible.
Edit : Flashed stock ics without errors. Back to official ics again.

This is the original secure signed zip from HTC. It contains all of the images for the various partitions on the device, which can be flashed via fastboot. To flash, extract the command 'fastboot flash partition imagename'. Finally a kitchen for android, online non the less. About time in all honesty, I wonder why it took a year. Maybe some future options would be to choose which partition the applications go to? Also an upload option for our own software would be handy with options of partitions of course.

Assuming you are on a custom ROM, do a Wipe and Dalvik's cache wipe before flashing it.
After flashing this - do another Wipe and your good to go
03/Feb ERE27 - New update rooted and unrooted, optional radio, optional himem
Well here it is people, Google's ERE27 update, repacked by yours truly to apply just how you like.
If you are on a completely stock device
1. Google's own update
If you are on a completely stock device (including stock recovery image), you can use the official update. Just download it, put it on the SD card named update.zip, launch recovery (power on with volume down held), press power and volume up when the warning triangle icon appears then select 'apply update.zip'. Sorted.
If you are on a non-stock device
Simply work through the steps below. Steps 1 and 2 are highly recommended. Use step 3 OR 4 OR 5 as desired. Step 6 just makes it all super easy.
1. The main update itself
I've downloaded the main update and repurposed it to a conventional update zip, to apply via the modified recovery. This is non wipe, and can be flashed over the top of just about anything. It is completely stock, secure and unrooted... see below for more on that.
2. The radio update
The update includes a new Radio ROM, which I have packaged seperately, again as an update zip. It carries version number 32.24.00.22U_4.03.00.21_2.
3. Insecure boot image
If you don't want to have full root but you'd like ADB remount permissions, you need to flash an insecure boot image. Because i'm nice, I made one for you. Simply download it, put your device in bootloader and run 'fastboot flash boot boot.ERE27.insecure.img'.
4. Superboot boot image.
You don't just want insecure boot, you want root (su and superuser)? I don't blame you... and again, because i'm nice, i've made you a superboot. Simply download it, put your device in bootloader and run 'fastboot flash boot boot.ERE27.superboot.img'.
5. Superboot boot image with himem.
If you'd like to make use of the full RAM on your device, you can use the Superboot himem boot image. It includes everything in the superboot image above, plus an updated kernel and wireless driver. Simply download it, put your device in bootloader and run 'fastboot flash boot boot.ERE27.superboot.himem.img'.
6. Another way - the MoDaCo Online Kitchen.
The online kitchenallows you to create a custom update ZIP with the components you require. The image is still stock, you just have the option of leaving out the bits you don't want. For expert users, the option to include either an insecure boot image or the superboot root boot image is included. The radio image can also be included.

Thanks Paul for this update
have you see any improvement in UK network ?
Is there anyone can explain to me whether it is possible, and how, to increase the size of the /system partition in my MT15i (NEO) as in NEO V?
I installed the ROM v SOS. 1.3, and I tried to install some XPERIA S stuff, but the free space on the /system partition was reduced at 0 kb; the entire /system partition in my NEO includes 327 Mb, compared with 400 Mb in the NEO V, the 70 Mb of difference, in my NEO, have used by the useless /vendor partition, how do I recover this space?
I know there is a way (and I've used) to increase the /data partition from 380 to 420 Mb there is a similar trick for the /system partition?
I answer to myself:
is very simple:
- Make a nandroid backup;
- Flash userdata.sin, cache.sin, system.sin and loader.sin from a *.ftf for the NEO V;
- Reboot in recovery;
- Format /system and /data
- Restore the backup you just made
- Reboot and Enjoy!
Now Titanium backup says that my /system partition is 419 MB, and I can flash all the stuff from XPERIA S
now try to look if you still have the face unlock after doing this...
You have to flash Face Unlock enabler from jj ROM Add-on
http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?ika8ueau7kjr50i
It work!
Did you recognize any negative side effects?
More userspace and system space would be very welcome

Thanks for the hints. However, I already know this stuff. I know how to flash kernel using fastboot. You also need to include the custom vendor ID for xperia. Also saw the thread in Neo V section but logically it doesn't include the instructions to flash sin files to Neo.
From my understanding, we will need to flash these via fastboot-
fastboot -i 0xfce flash data userdata.sin
fastboot -i 0xfce flash cache cache.sin
fastboot -i 0xfce flash system system.sin
But still not sure as I have not seen anywhere the exact process.
Please excuse my concerns, but I want to be very sure to understand exactly how it is to be done. Touching partition tables is unlike flashing ROM and very risky. If done incorrectly, it might brick the device.
I get "com.google.process.gapps has stopped"???
Does it work on stock rom on locked bootloader?
Does this work with stock rom on locked bootloader? I mean I'm sure you can flash it, but can you get back to recovery considering that cwm is on the system partition? Does flashing these files format the partitions? I'm not willing to unlock my bootloader yet and if the system partition is formatted I lose my recovery and if I flash stock again to root and get the recovery back the original neo sin files are used. If system is formatted can I install neo v stock and then change to neo kernel and rom and then root, get recovery and restore my backup? Thanks :highfive:
Guys this is how I did this....( by the way I've unlocked bootloader)...
1. downloaded the MT11i .587 ftf
2. Opened the ftf with 7zip and deleted all sin files except for cache.sin, loader.sin,system.sin and userdata.sin.
3.edited the manifest.mf file in the META-INF folder, just one line changed the device name to MT15i
4. backed up current Rom, flashed the ftf file using flashtool, restored the nandroid backup, rebooted.
and now I've a MT15i with system partition of 419MB and data partition of 440MB.... :-o
I'm just sharing my Xperiance... please read the whole thread before trying it.... This way you don't have to worry about the fastboot commands....

I did it this way-
1. Downloaded FTF file of NeoV
2. Installed FlashTool
3. Loaded FTF and by selecting/deselecting the options on the right, just made the list to flash system, userdata, loader and cache sin files.
No need to edit the FTF file as you can deselect the unneeded sin files from the tool itself.
4. Boot into clockworkmod and format system and data partitions.
5. Install ROM
Even I have unlocked partition and had custom kernel with clockworkmod installed at the time of flashing the FTF files.
I did it like it's on the last post... IT WORKS!! \o/
Thank you!

No, because when you flash the sin files your system partition is erased and you won't be able to go to recovery because on locked bootloaders the recovery is inside the rom on the system partition. You need unlocked bootloader with a custom kernel that has recovery included so you can restore a backup or flash a new rom. You can unlock bootloader by following the instructions from this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1409269

Ok, so you now have a current rom and need/want to update your firmware:
If that is the case, I have supplied the firmware.zip here, that will update the firmware and radios to the latest version.
How to flash the Full firmware/radio zip:
Download the appropriate firmware version for your stock based rom:
4.09.605.8_NoBootImg_NoRecovery_FULL_COMBO_FIRMWARE LATEST***
FULL_COMBO: Contains all previous and current firmware files.
Is all you need, coming from any previous version.
KitKat 4.09.605.5 NoBootImg_firmware.zip
KitKat 4.09.605.1 NoBootImg_firmware.zip
Jellybean 3.06.605.4 firmware.zip
Place the zip in your fastboot/adb directory on your computer.
Put the device in fastboot mode
(Volume down and power until menu appears, select fastboot using power button)
Connect the device to the computer
Enter the following commands from terminal/command prompt in the fastboot directory, one at a time:
fastboot oem rebootRUU (this puts the device in RUU mode)
fastboot flash zip firmware.zip (rename file to firmware.zip)
It will say that the update did not finish, to flush again, so repeat the above step:
fastboot flash zip firmware.zip
Important: the flash process halts at around 75% to 90% on phone screen! This is normal and a safety precaution!
The last few percent is the reboot, which is NOT happening automatically, so you get a chance to check the console output before reboot to make sure it is safe to reboot!
The bar will only fill up to 100% once you type the following command:
Click to collapse
fastboot reboot-bootloader (this reboots the device to bootloader)
That's it, you're done. You can now reboot and will be running the latest firmware and radios.
If you have any questions or issues, let me know.

Radio - Flashable Zips
I suggest flashing the FULL Firmware without boot.img at the top of this post, instead of just radio alone.
As firmware contains other important radio/modem related files, that work along with the matching baseband.

Does the red development text on the splash screen bother you after unlocking your device?
If so, I have a modified hboot for you that takes care of it.
This was simply hex edited by me to remove the text from the screen, no other changes were made.
I have tested it and it is 100% proven to work without any side effects.
FROM THIS >>>
TO THIS >>>
Let's get to it!
You must be S-Off to do this!
To Install:
Download your modified hboot:
No Red Text 4.09.605.8 hboot
No Red Text 4.09.605.5 hboot
No Red Text 4.09.605.1 hboot
Place the zip in your fastboot/adb directory on your computer.
Put the device in fastboot mode
(Volume down and power until menu appears, select fastboot using power button)
Connect the device to the computer
Enter the following commands from terminal/command prompt in the fastboot directory, one at a time:
fastboot oem rebootRUU (this puts the device in RUU mode)
fastboot flash zip nameoffile_hboot.zip (this flashes the modified hboot zip file)
Important: the flash process halts at around 75% to 90% on phone screen! This is normal and a safety precaution!
The last few percent is the reboot, which is NOT happening automatically, so you get a chance to check the console output before reboot to make sure it is safe to reboot!
The bar will only fill up to 100% once you type the following command:
fastboot reboot-bootloader (this reboots the device to bootloader)
That's it, you're done. You can now reboot and not see the red text anymore.
If you have any questions or issues, let me know.
Now for my RED TEXT:
DisclaimerYou are aware that writing to the security protected partitions increases your risk to lose the device exponentially.
You understand and agree that i cannot be held responsible for such or any other damages.
The flash process is theoretically safe and tested, however you are the brains behind the wheel and you are solely responsible for the execution of the process.
I will not accept any responsibility. The method itself is developed by Google and HTC, i only provide access and information to it and you execute it.
You understand that you should not do it if you are not willing to accept this risk.
If you plan on reverting to stock-relocked, for any reason:
You should follow the above steps first, but use this Stock firmware/hboot instead.
Do this before you relock the bootloader.
-FAUX LOCKED HBOOTS-
(not really Locked and S-on but appear that way)
Since I initially posted this:
I had a couple requests for a modified hboot that shows the device as being Locked and S-On, while being completely unlocked and S-Off.
I went ahead and made that as per request and have tested it as well.
The process is the same as the one I wrote above, with the exception of the filename.
4.09.605.5 Faux Locked hboot
4.09.605.1 Faux Locked hboot.
Enjoy and be careful!!
I'd be down with trying debloated version.

Had it posted in another forum as well which is where I saw it first.
Sorry about that, been running 5.5 for so long it's hard to think about 5.0 anymore.

I'm curious does ISIS mobile wallet show in the market for this rom stock?
Now is the the newest radio update and will the radio update work with any custom rom or do you half to flash this stock rom.
Hi all. I bought my Evo 3D phone from someone and the wifi is not working. Trying to turn it on just results in "Error". Apparently this is rooted and/or has custom firmware. The software is NegaLite BluROM with android 4.0.3. I was wondering if anyone could help a root/cfw newbie with step by step instructions on how to get wifi working again. My google research showed something about a Mobster ROM being the best firmware, but have no idea about anything.
i like negalite the best, but what release is it?
i also liked mobster lite and unsenseable.
negalite blurom cdma vm r115
try the official thread here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1745093
i use jcfunk's fork, its more recent and you might even get something hot off the press if you check out his svn.
midnight rom deserves a mention:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2141207
i'm not sure where mobster went, i'll hunt a link down later if you need. same with unsenseable.

i never knew what s-off was. i rebooted into recovery and it turns out i have s-on. then i googled and found Unrevoked, but the download doesn't work.
Here I can quick fix your phone, download recovery on computer.
ReBoot phone into bootloader.
From computer,
fastboot boot recovery.img
This will upload recovery.img to phone, and boot recovery with write access to boot partition. Which HTC has locked, this is first method found to by pass. Other would be dumb-lock. But that's your wifi issue, because your still using stock kernel, but wifi drivers are built for my kernel
jcfunk said:

it just says Bootloader, Reboot, Reboot Bootloader. those are my options i'm not sure what to do
Click to collapse
Also, can use Flashify to install a boot.img but won't work with installer zip for my kernel, because boot.img is made during install.
May look like this, fastboot shows when usb is plugged in.

Home of the ORIGINAL hboot 1.50 'how to flash'
less than 48 hours after HTC released their web based unlocker, i walked a user thru the process below in public chat (the public Synergy Chat room) - two hours later some one posted it on XDA and claimed creait for it, even copied/pasted my spelling errors. when called out with screen shots of the chat with timestamps, they still claimed credit. - this is the ORIGINAL.
This is a cleaned up and detailed version of the chat, I included it as 2nd post to my roms and always posted it when someone needed help. so a few weeks later, i finally decided to make a post here.
---
so, you unlocked using HTC's unlocker located at HTCDEV.com
some background on this unlock method:
-when you unlock using HTC's unlock method, the boot partition is still read only, and you cant flash to it. (kernels and ramdisks go here - so no 2.3.3 rom will boot, and most 2.3.4 roms will not work correctly)
when you unlocked your bootloader using HTC's method, you should have downloaded a file that contained some program files, mainly fastboot.exe and adb.exe, as well as the device drivers you would have to install to unlock
- you will need these
to get around this problem HTC has created, we will be using the fastboot.exe program to force the ramdisk/kernel onto the phone. anytime you use fastboot to flash a partition, you risk bricking your phone, so please do this at your own risk.
I have walked several people thru this, and no one had any problems, but if something dont go right, or the connection between the pc and the phone gets interrupted, your phone may become bricked.
I am going to assume you know the basics of flashing a rom, and that you have either teamwin or clockwork's recover tool installed on your phone (and you know how to use them). if not please see series #3 below.
SERIES 1 - INSTALL A ROM AND RAMDISK/KERNEL
Step 1 - backup everything on your phone, nandroid backup
step 2 - if you want to flash the ext4 optimizer for /data, read the info and directions here -> http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...postcount=6329
------>everything should be backed up now
Step 3 - flash Virus's superwipe tool.
Step 4 - flash the /data optimizer tool - the download can be found in the post linked in step 2
Step 5 - open the rom you downloaded using winrar, or 7zip, and copy the boot.img file somewhere (the same folder that contains the tools you used to unlock your phone would be a perfect place)
Step 6 - open a command prompt (or terminal window), and goto the window that contains the tools you used to unlock your boot loader
Step 7 - reboot your phone into fastboot (adb reboot bootloader)
Step 8 - from the command prompt enter the following command:
fastboot flash boot boot.img
then press [enter]
Step 9 - once complete, exit fastboot, and boot back into recovery
Step 10 - flash the rom's zip file using recovery
Step 11 - enjoy
SERIES 2 - INSTALL A RAMDISK/KERNEL (ROM ALREADY FLASHED)
*signs of a failed ramdisk flash include broken wifi, 4g, poor performance and just weirdness in general. the updater scripts used to install a rom will not flash ramdisk with S-ON.
Step 1 - open the rom you downloaded using winrar, or 7zip, and copy the boot.img file somewhere (the same folder that contains the tools you used to unlock your phone would be a perfect place)
Step 2 - open a command prompt (or terminal window), and goto the window that contains the tools you used to unlock your boot loader
Step 3 - reboot your phone into fastboot (abd reboot bootloader)
Step 4 - from the command prompt enter the following command:
fastboot flash boot boot.img
then press [enter]
Step 5 - reboot your phone and enjoy (fastboot reboot)
SERIES 3 - INSTALL A RECOVERY TOOL
*you may need to do this before each flash, some phones somehow break recovery after a rom is flashed, and recovery will not launch until re-flashed for some reason (Kathy.. )
Step 1 - download TeamWin's recovery here (IMG format) -> http://dl.dropbox.com/u/24995663/recovery.img
Step 2 - copy this file to the same directory as your fastboot and adb files HTC had you download to unlock your phone.
Step 3 - goto your dos prompt (or terminal if on linux)
Step 4 - change directories to the folder your files are in (recovery.img and fastboot)
Step 5 - flash your recovery using the following command
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
Step 6 - reboot your phone (fastboot reboot)
*disclaimer - you do this at your own risk. as of yet, the processes listed above work 100% and not 1 failure has been reported. make sure your usb cable is good, and your pc has good power during any fastboot process. most of this comes from a chat i had in the synergy public/general chat room 2 hours prior to it being posted on XDA by others claiming credit. kangers goto hell.

Yes, but post was very old, use recovery I posted. Also if you use command
Code:
fastboot boot recovery.img
instead of
Code:
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
It will load/run recovery from computer, then install kernel from recovery.

HOW TO FLASH
Power off your phone and press volume down key and press power key to boot to Fastboot Mode
Download Fastboot tools..
open a command line(cmd or powershell in windows) and change directory to the directory where fastboot tool locate(cd PATH/TO/FASTBOOT/TOOL), then you can use fastboot simplely
use
Code:
fastboot flash recovery [PATH TO THE IMAGE FILE YOU DOWNLOADED]
to flash(or grab that file into the cmd window, it will automaticly fill the full path of that file)
then use
Code:
fastboot reboot recovery
to boot the recovery(or just manually press volume up key and power key to reboot to recovery)
because this recovery is not support encrypted data partition, you can download flashable zip at computer and use
Code:
adb push THE/ZIP/FILE/YOU/DOWNLOAD /tmp/
(/tmp is a RAM-disk, means that the size of this partition is your free ram), you can push the flashable zip into your phone and flash it in recovery(or use otg storage devices, but the original author not mention it and Im not testing it)
IF YOUR BOOTLOADER IS LOCKED,but you wanna try it
You can use
Code:
fastboot boot [PATH TO THE IMAGE FILE YOU DOWNLOADED]
to only boot the recovery(not flash recovery)
(not sure 100% success)
Do anything on YOUR OWN RISK
