[Q] App that's like Action Launcher covers - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi all,
I've recently tried out Action Launcher Pro, and it has a very neat feature called "covers".
Covers are folders that can act like a single app too.
what I mean is, they appear as the app icon (the little white square on the bottom right indicates it's a cover), and if you click it then it opens up the app, but if you swipe it vertically, it opens up a folder containing more apps.
it's like this:
Single app:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
When you swipe it vertically:
anyone knows if such app/widget that does this exists?

[APP] Acer Liquid Home Screen

i was trolling around the epic forums and found this, push both of the apks to the /system/app folder, hit your home key and select "home"
its pretty cool, swipe left brings up music player and swipe right brings up latest used apps.
credit to bubby323 i just stole everything from his thread over @ http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=780727
my screens
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Installed this, looks good but not for me, kept crashing. Removed files and now my Gallery keeps force closing.

Removing Widgets

Can anyone inform me or point me in the right direction on how to remove the left over widget place holder in the Widget Selection menu when I remove an app and it's widget?
The way I remove widgets is by deleting the widget apk from the system files. Leaves no trace of it
I'm bringing this back up because I haven't been able to figure this out and I'm not sure it was completely clear what I meant.
When I remove a widget, say for example the FriendStream widget, it leaves a place holder in the widget selection menu like this:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
To remove these, what exactly needs to be done?

Is the font on Android small?

I have had this question for a while. Any page I open, any Twitter link page I open, in any browser, Default 'Browser' or 'Chrome', I have to squint to read the text or I end up zooming in and out and adjusting it to 'fit-to'screen' for the rest of my time.
If you ask me, this is a good page lay out:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Also, I think the text overall is small used in the system.
I have a 4.3" screen which was the biggest a while back (till the advent of phablets).
Any way to achieve this. Thanks.
Have you tried changing the font size.? It resides in display settings. (only ICS and up probably)

Stop it from stretching my wallpaper ??

had the same problem on the note II never did find solution but now with my note III I would like to solve this.
when I select a wallpaper and I stretch the selection window to pick what I want it always uses less than what I select it "stretches or blows up" the image some cutting off the top and bottom making it look muddy.
what can I do to correct this. it does not do this on the lock screen just on the desktop (widget lock screen and launcher prime does the same thing in touchwiz)
suggestions?
Here is the lock screen
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Here is the desktop
is there a special dimension size I need to use to get it to stop cropping my image for the desktop?

[Q]How to quick-scroll to the top or the bottom of app

Two-finger scroll is a common gesture in webOS, which allows for quick-scrolling to the top or the bottom of an app. This gesture was called "Power Scroll" or "Power Swipe", to activate is, put two fingers side-by-side on the screen and then just flick upwards or downwards:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Then you got top / bottom of page. It's very convenient for long page content such as web browser, rss reader, sns timeline or even file manager list.
Any Android apps support similar function or does Xposed module could do similar thing?
