My friends vibrant stopped getting service and he went to t mobile and they said the phone is blocked. And he said its useless now. Wut does this mean and is there a way to get around it?

Mr orannge he actually bought it off craigslist list from a guy who turned out to be a t mobile employee and it was his personal phone so I doubt its stolen. And I did I flashed axura, r14 then put stock back then the ji6 update. None worked and no rom will the guy said its blocked. I just want to figure out wut this means and how to fix it for him

Texts yes calls no. Call log maybe.
Keep in mind it's illegal unless they're your phones and its your kid or something.

If you previously obtained the unlock code prior to the OTA, no. Otherwise, yes.
How about VZW warranty, or insurance.
I had same problem , rooted, exchanged under warranty.

Bone stock. 2.04 locked. It was shipped with 2.04 I didn't do a thing to it.

So you can achieve S-OFF & root. (Essentially allowing you to use tether again, unless you PDANet or the built-in mobile hotspot.)

Check the number you are texting to. If its been prepending ( example = +1 201 123 1234), then it will not go through. Seen this commonly when contacts are being imported/shared from Facebook.

And its sms/calling/mms thats broke. The +1 only applys to sms issues. Every time I try calling someone I get this 'we are unable to complete this call... No error code like I would expect. Something like "EU, 24. The number your dialing..."

Hi. .mega's are hard to unlock as I had a i527m mega (Canadian version) and I could not unlock ir myself and I tried different ways with no success. .so I ended up paying a company $29 and they sent me the unlock number within 10 minutes and the number they gave me worked good as they go right to Samsung to get it.
So you might have to do this also.

Hi..the company is called TheUnlockingCompany and can be just googled or just add .com at the end of it in a browser and you should get to the site.

No, I can't. I received an email from Samsung some months back stating they were discontinuing the service and automatic renewals were being cancelled.
