It has many more features like adding n removing homescreen..upto 7..more widgets more lockscreens smoother option in personalise to add lwp..well flash with Rom mysense by ckpv5 once and select full sense in aroma..and you will see..

I installed the ROM aswell today, at first attempt the installation crashed when I choose the option of HTC wifi 'something' option, but after a reset it installed smooth.
Very happy with the ROM!

flash full sense like mySense RC3 if you want for a change

Elegancia Review
I migrated over to Elegancia from the AOSP ROMs ( Half-Sense, Fulmix ) after finding both still having a few bugs (hopefully these will be squashed in due time). I'm not a huge fan of the Sense stuff so wasn't too excited about that aspect of the Elegancia ROM, but was interested to see how well it held up in terms of bugs, functionality and performance.
The install
Aroma installer was simple to use and worked well. Some of the options could be better explained (Wi-fi regional 'fixes'?) but for the most part it was all very self-explanatory. You get to choose whether to install many of the stock HTC apps or leave them out, as well you're given a few alternative apps to install. I had no crashes or bugs (eg. Aroma apps and options I selected did actually get installed).
Initial boot and setup
The bootup takes a short while the first time and then you're taken straight to the setup process. Unusually, I got asked to select what mobile network operator I was with, which was new to me. The rest of the setup process is the familiar HTC routine. There were no crashes due to missing apks or other oddities that you can get when stripping out major components of the stock ROM.
Look and Feel
Once you're all setup, the UI is very similar to the stock ROM at first glance. But the you notice the nice matte effects on some of the widgets, the lockscreen, and the little flourishes like the blue battery icon (you have to select this in Aroma if you want it), the blue background in the toggles under settings, and of course the tabbed quick settings which look great and work perfectly. The system as a whole feels very responsive, without any noticeable lag or glitches.
Under the Hood
The Software Information indicates "Elegancia - Sense 4.1 v1.0.0" and the Software Update feature to enable future Elegancia updates appears to work though there are no OTA updates to test just yet. Checking the terminal, the system name is set to 'Elegancia' which is a nice touch. Also the init.d support and busybox is confirmed to be working. You can also see the various init.d scripts correctly installed under /system/etc/init.d Root is working fine with SuperSU dealing with root access requests.
Sound and Vision
Audio on this ROM is great. Beats audio is enhanced with xloud which increases the overall volume without distortion. The end result sounds good, though a control panel with some customisability (a la Awesome Beats perhaps) would be a nice feature. The Bravia patch is applied but I find it hard to tell much difference between Stock and Bravia. Games play just fine and I've noticed no graphic glitches or drawing errors.
Final Thoughts
I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the ROM and the attention to detail. Things just work, some things work better, and the build quality is high. Overall I'd say it's a great 1.0 release, and I'm looking forward to seeing what the future has in store for this ROM. Well done!

i tried all the roms here!!..but now i am back to elegancia..

I'm content with Elegancia too, it's the first ROM I've flashed, thanks to a lot of research I learned that Elegancia is the most polished ROM out there for the Desire X.
There are a few bugs I would like to report:
Chrome is not working for some odd reason, as soon as I boot chrome, I get an empty browse screen, which then turns of and states "Chrome has stopped working". This has never happened to me before I flashed Elegancia.
In the Quick-Settings tab half of the text is German, half of it is English and a little bit of Dutch in between, this shouldn't be too hard to get around though.
Synchronization is a bit messed up (the device starts random synchronizing, and does that without having synchronization enabled). Once I want to synchronize however, I have to do this manually, cause the "automatic synchronize" button does not function anymore.
And last but not least: Even though battery life was promised to be improved, I noticed this did not have any effect (although I have used my device quite heavily lately).
Furthermore, all the other tweaks and improvements still make the ROM worthwhile, these are just minor complaints (and I hope these can be fixed easily)!

That's odd about the quick settings language. I can't recall that being an issue with my install (not on elegancia atm). Also my chrome and sync had worked fine. Have you tried reflashing?

Thanks for the feedback! I'll try to do that next week :good:

One issue is with HTC Scene does not work, at least the wall paper come with black matte instead of yellow.

You can change the wallpaper. The default for elegancia is the matte skin.

MIUI 1.12.9 Fascinate/Mesmerize Rom UPDATE..12/13/11

This is a build ported from a vibrant setup, some tweaks that dfgas incorporated into the last few builds, some extra tweaks from here and there, and extended settings built in. It is very smooth and fast after letting it settle in for a bit.
Let me know how it is for you. You can wipe data or just cache and dalvik...I do all 3...enjoy.
Thanks to anyone that has a hand in developing for the fascinate / mesmerize...the list would be too long to write!
-as of 1.12.9...
-#911 issue fixed (thanks sbrissen, dfgas, & anyone else involved)
-modified default transparent lockscreen...live wallpapers show through lockscreen
-new 1.12.9 Fascinate link...
http://db.tt/enasc1vs
-new 1.12.9 Mesmerize link...
http://db.tt/LHY0AeKk
-as of 1.11.25...
-includes Glitch V13 kernel with working 3 button recovery (with updated screenstate scaling fix)
-new option of miui app drawer
-pick setup, then enable, wait a couple seconds for drawer to load up, then swipe down from top of screen slightly lower than status bar to pull down drawer (almost right at bottom edge of status bar)...takes a little getting used to swipe area as it is very small.
-new options of hiding signal bars and headset icons
-new option of appdrawer background color
-new "on the fly" statusbar layout switching (no need to refresh statusbar anymore)
-new options of autostarting appdrawer
-charging animation it top bar fixed
Here is a link to the v6 supercharger thread...http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=18703418&postcount=5021
I would suggest installing the latest supercharger script...http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=792186&d=1322022964 and the app script manager...http://market.android.com/details?id=os.tools.scriptmanager
Download both, change the supercharger scripts name from .pdf to .txt, install script manager, go into script managers options and turn on browse as root, then navigate to the directory you downloaded the supercharger script to within the app, click on it, select run as root, then run. Follow the scripts prompts, and as a suggestion, I use option 7. This makes the phone fly even faster at all times even with many apps open. I would have incorporated this into the rom, but the developer would rather you visit the thread to get it.
Downloading now. Thanks!
First impressions:
(Background: Wiped all three from "mounts and storage" menu)
Appears to be based off of MIUI Android (UK port of MIUI) as opposed to MIUI.US. Not sure what diffferences (if any) apply other than the bootani and background. Amiright?
Extended settings built-in is quite awesome.
Noticed MiuiCompass wasn't in there (but DSP Manager was...awesome again). Attached in case you don't have the apk and want to add it in the future.
MMS sent over 3G on first try.
I am not sure which market you bundled with it, but I always go in and remove marketUpdater and add back in the old vending.apk. (This isn't a criticism, just something I do that might be good to know in case I have future issues that may be caused by that mod...I know I am probably rare in liking the old market.)
So far so good. Now I just need to grow a pair and figure out how to swap kernels in the zipfile so I can throw Glitch v13RC1 in there; at which point I'll truly have my "Flash one-and-done".
Great work, Rick S. Can't wait for the full list of changes/tweaks! Thanks again.
Will this work on the Telus version?

Compass.apk should be in there, but thanks anyway. Basically if porting from a "stock" setup, roms wont differ very much at all, but another difference is that the reboot options are capitalized. I would love to have glitch v13 in there, but its not publically released yet. I do install it on mine though. All you need is the boot.img and the lib/modules folder...modules need to match boot.img that was built.

Ive honestly never looked into the differences between the two carriers. Im guessing no because there are probably some rom differences along with the kernel differences.

Thanks for sharing and spending time doing this.
I am going to give this a try now, I am coming from 1.11.4, and I have yet to try the extended settings yet, so this will be great to check it out at the same time.

I wasn't suggesting you put V13 in there. I was just commenting on my own lack of courage to do it myself more than anything. Thanks for the tip though.
Been installing apps and such basically nonstop since install and listening to music on it. No issues. I did update to Glitch v12RC1 right off the bat as well.
So far, this seems to be about as stable as the 9-16 release which has been my fall-back. I've had the fewest issues with that one. Hopefully this one will be my new 9-16. (Will find out when I get home and see how it handles the wifi/3g handoff that seems to have been causing the most problems on the latest few roms for me)

Thank you for the reply. I know there are differences the big one is one cdma and the other is gsm. I did not see the vibrant mention the first time in the OP. if anyone knows of a compatible miui for the Telus version pm me please I would love to try it
Looks great Rick...thanks again. I had issues with the other '11' roms so far and was back on the 10.28. And also big.thanks for the easy instructions for installing super charger....I couldn't get then to stick a month ago....no problems this time ( used your suggestion....will tweak later after I settle in) only issue is google+ fc at start up. I don't use it so not a huge deal.....will uninstall and install new......phone is flying.
Edit: Re-install of Google+ did the trick. Can't believe how fast and smooth this phone is running now.
Thanks for the responses. Im going to update some MIUI mods and put links in the op soon...launcher mod and screen transitions are some.

Sorry about that...my gmail seems to work fine though. I used JT's 3 button recovery fix kernel because its probably the most used throughout various roms. It doesnt have bln. You can flash any kernel you like though and it will work fine as long as the kernels allows for it.

GSM and CDMA roms/kernels aren't cross compatible. The phones share a name, that's it, they're pretty different when you get down to the nuts and bolts (or silicon and copper.)

"Hmmm. I just had huge success flashing jt's 3ButtonFix.zip kernel over the 1.11.4, making big improvements in battery and GPS. But this is an upgrade, using the same kernel, even though my current ROM is working fine. Hmmm..." thinks the flash junkie as he tries to pretend he might not go ahead and flash this anyway.
Edit: Of course I flashed it, with the script. Running great. Overnight, battery stays in high 90s.
All I can say is wow!! This is by far the most responsive miui build I've ever used, running the script on setting seven as suggested running glitch v13 ml OC`d to 1440..very smooth, plus have all the reboot options again nicely done, thanks much sir!

In the past the miui builds I've run while being in my opinion nicer to use have always seemed more sluggish than Vanilla or cm7, not now..

I actually ported the MIUIScotland 1.11.9 ICS framework I9000 rom to the fascinate. It seems the only difference are a couple added files within the framework and a few files elsewhere, along with the version number in the build prop. Its not even worth playing with though. There are no noticeable differences anywhere. Waist of time just in case anyone was wondering or has heard of it.

Enable GUI rendering "patch"?

I have seen this with other devices and wondering if anyone of the developers that have put it into their ROM can make a flashable zip for us who want to stay on stock deoxed? Thanks in advance.
Been researching all day and FINALLY found this from an outside forum source. Makes a HUGE difference if you are running stock.
"If you download Blade Buddy from the market and go into Advanced Settings, you are given the option to set a value for:
debug.sf.hw
Setting it to "1" should enable GPU Acceleration in the Android UI. (I believe this only works in Gingerbread). Enabling it won't always make a difference, since some UIs like TouchWiz and Sense 3.0 already have a limited form of GPU UI rendering , but I've seen many people say that it makes a hige difference on some devices and things like swiping, scrolling, and zooming become much smoother.
But it's worth a shot due to the potential benefits. The worst it can do is not change anything. (Remember to first click "Apply" in the Menu and then "Save", and then reboot).
Does anyone want to try and post their results?
My Inspire feels smoother now, but I'm on a ported ROM from the Sensation (Sense 3.0), so it's harder to tell.
You can also enable stagefright codecs which should give you GPU decoding of videos and media. I'm trying this right now."

Just fyi for anyone interested, I assume x has had this for awhile but I just went to build.prop and checked in BP2.4.0 and it is there. Good find though, some of these little build.prop tweaks can really help.

well I'm rooted stock so this was a great find for those of us who just want one or two things and not an entirely different rom.
how do you know it works? I have another phone that is pure stock. I compare with my phone with the change. I don't notice anything.
From what I understand some phones do not support it. I will try to see if I can find the technical reason.

[ROM] [320 DPI] Battery Plus Rom v2.1 Lite - 302mb! [1.1.13]

If your into the Rom scene on the Galaxy Note II you might recognize the rom name. I now bring my battery saving, low DPI, stock look lite Roms to the Droid DNA. If you like my Rom, great. If not, please use your backup made before installing and restore your old rom. Thanks for testing it. And please report all bugs and fc's in the thread not via pms. I'm not claiming this rom will give you a massive battery increase. But it should be higher than your stock rom as I have removed a lot of ram consuming bloat. In theory it will give more battery life. At least it has in my testing Vs my stock rom.

Built from DNA Stock ROM v.1.15.605.4 710RD (Thanks MicroMod777)
SD card cache tweak, i/o governer set to deadline
More responsive, lite on resources faster Vs Stock Bloatrom.
Low memory usage, over 1.2 GB free on boot
320 DPI this screen was made for !! (Once rebooted got to display setting and set fonts to large)
Improved battery life via, more free ram, tweaks and bloat removal
Ad blocker via hosts file (Helps battery life)

fanboy in technical forums has always had the Demeaning quality. i edited my post because I was told by a few people, credit doesn't matter anymore. I was actually trying to be informative before someone gets pissed, I guess it doesn't matter anymore who does what.
i'm going to run it through it's paces, even though I think desensed roms, using sense as a base, is rather... incorrectly termed.

Well thats all we've got to go off of as of right now. Without source or a AOSP kernel were forced to run desensed roms as an AOSP stepchild. All i was trying to say is i think the OP just meant this rom isn't ideal for people who like stock and or sense roms. No malice intended.
waiting for the download link!!!
No malice intended, its just not for sense fans naturally as its not there (sense). I reworked it to say fans now. Not fanboys. Again no harm indended. I'm on slow internet so the upload is taking time. LAst minute bug discovered so had to re-up it. Please save the reviews till its released and you have tried it!
Uploading now and screens coming.

Well thats all we've got to go off of as of right now. Without source or a AOSP kernel were forced to run desensed roms as an AOSP stepchild. All i was trying to say is i think the OP just meant this rom isn't ideal for people who like stock and or sense roms. No malice intended.

tbh desense roms work better than aosp would anyway. Battery life on stock is always better on every device i've ever owned and there's less bugs than an aosp rom built from scratch. Also does anybody know where I might be able to find a flashable Verizon droid boot animation , I prefer it over the HTC one.
Can't wait! Thanks, H

No, its just not upscaling so much, 320 DPI vs 480 DPI. 320 is a standard DPI used by many, so no market issues either.

Sorry it seems that mirror service i used is taking its sweet time. Its been saying uploading but i have uploaded the file (twice now). I'm uploading to a friends private server that has 100mbit line for downloading. No file sharing sites used so this will help.
Once I get that download link live I will try and get some mirrors up asap!
Eta is 1 hour still uploading at 90kbs
Looking forward to trying this. Any ETA on a working download link?
3 mirrors are up!

NEW TO ANDROID! Looking for specific ROM.

Hello all,
As the title states, I'm completely new to Android. I've been with the iPhone for quite some time and have recently changed over to the HTC One. Everything is awesome so far, but there are a few annoying quirks I'd like to change to make it perfect. I've done a bit of research, but I guess my searching terms were a bit too specific? I'm looking for a custom ROM that is based on Sense 5 with 4.2.2 and WiFi calling so I can have the option to keep Blinkfeed, Zoe, TV apps and the ability to delete some of the preinstalled programs like Facebook and Twitter. In addition, I'd like to have the option to give the HTC logo wake device functionality. I believe this is done through installing the tbalden kernel? I'm looking at the Trickdroid ROM, as it seems that might be the closest thing to what I'm looking for, but in a video review I watched of it it seemed there was only a wake from volume rocker option. Also, it seems Wifi calling is unavailable at the moment? In any case, if there is something out there that you guys can suggest I'd greatly appreciate it! Thanks!!

I can at least verify a lack of WiFi calling on all 4.2.2 ROMs. We will have to wait for the official T-Mobile ROM to drop or leak to get that functionality.

So once the 4.2.2 update comes out for T-Mobile HTC One's, we'll be able to have wifi calling capability with any 4.2.2 ROM ie. Trickdroid? Also, just a quick side question, I'm looking at the Trickdroid page and it says there is an option for the tbalden kernel, which is where the htclogo2wake functionality lies. Does this mean while installing Trickdroid, I'll have the option to install that instead of the stock kernel and have the options to map my HTC logo? Thanks!

To answer your first question, as long as the setup of WiFi calling is the same way as 4.1.2, then I see no reason why it wouldn't work.

Awesome! Thanks, you've been very helpful! You wouldn't happen to have any experience with Trickdroid would u? haha
Trickdroid is great! I've been using it for quite some time and no issues. I use my cell as my work phone so reliability is big for me - and no problems... I haven't played too much with any of the kernels for the one but you will need to flash it separately. Welcome to Android!

That's good to hear! And thanks for the welcome! I see on the Trickdroid page that the tbalden kernel is an option. Does that mean it's already built into the ROM and that I'll have the option to remap the HTC logo or is there something I have to do along the lines of choosing it during the ROM install? Thanks!

If I remember correctly, Trickdroid uses Aroma installer, which takes you through an install wizard (prone to freezing so don't worry if it freezes, just reboot and retry) and let's you select a bunch of different options, not sure if Kernel selection is included in that or not.
Thanks for the info. I just wanna get all the info I can before attempting my first custom ROM install. That kernel is pretty much the biggest thing I'm looking for, this power button at the top thing is getting a bit annoying.. lol Also, I have an unrelated question that I'm hoping maybe someone here could answer. I couldn't find anything through searching the forums. Are the sound profiles on our phones customizable? Every time I change profiles, I have to change the settings manually. For example, I want the vibrate profile to quiet all sound and just vibrate for everything. However, when I go back to normal and switch back to vibrate, the sound for notifications and alarms are back on. Doesn't this defeat the purpose of profiles??
No 4.2.2 based rom supports wifi calling so far. If you want a customized rom, try viper. You will addict to it.

So if I installed a 4.2.2 ROM now, would wifi calling be enabled when T-Mobile releases its official update automatically? Or will I have reinstall the ROM?

no. you will have to wait for the update for the rom your on for wifi calling. as far as roms go viper has the most customization by far and arhd is the closest to stock but i recommend viper as you can keep it stock looking or if you want to customize to your hearts content and i mean everything is customizable. and venom hub has the kernels that enable logo2wake and many other options available. happy flashing bro:highfive:
Ok, Thanks! I'll definitely take a look at Viper then. Also, are you saying that it has the tbalden kernel already built into it? As in I don't have to do anything separate in order to use logo2wake?

no. in the venom hub which is an app for viper rom it has all the compatible kernels and when you select it. it will download it and boot to recovery and flash it(twrp only cwm manual flash only)
cool, I'll definitely look into viper. So you're saying that it's based off of the sense UI and looks stock until you start customizing? Because that is exactly what I'm looking for. I want to have pretty much everything stock with the exception of the battery icon in the status bar, logo2wake and some other little things here and there. Also, is there an option to wake the screen when you get a text or notification without having to use a third party app? Seems like such a no-brainer for this to be a part of the phone stock, but for some reason is not.

My favorite Rom is the Google Edition Rom.
I wanted some AOSP but every rom i tried had terrible battery life (like 1% dropping every 3 minutes) with just using web browser. I tried ARHD GE, CyanogenMod, AHRD Sense version, faux kernel, aux kernel and elemental kernel and everything was kind of the same. Now im using Sense based Insertcoin ROM and i must say that battery life is way better and got rid of most of bloatware

[ROM] MiGusta (build 130803) [MIUI]

MiGusta - MIUIv5 for the Droid DNA
MiGusta is a port of AdyScorpiusMIUI for the M7 to the DNA, ported on to a freshly built CM with a couple kernel changes to make it boot. This is only for the Droid DNA on Verizon.
If you download this rom and flash it to your previously rooted/unlocked/s-off device, I take no responsibility if something bad happens, it's all on you now. However I'll probably feel bad and try to help...
First and foremost, special thanks to...
AdyScorpius - for porting MIUI to the M7
chad0989, crpalmer, and the CyanogenMod Team - for getting CM on the DNA
lbxmobbin_1 - for helping me out with RIL issues
What works
Data (4g, 3g, calls, texting)
Camera
WiFi
Wireless charging
Mostly everything, but I haven't tested things like NFC or bluetooth, so they may be broken (if you can test this and let me know, that'd be super)
What doesn't work
Anything that's broken in CyanogenMod (by theory)
Bugs and Solutions
4g isn't enabled at boot - dial *#*#4636#*#*, go to Phone Information, scroll down to Set preferred network type and change it to LTE/GSM/CDMA auto (PRL), then toggle data off and on (via Settings or the notification toggles)
Performance may not be as great as stock AOSP roms. That's because this is a port, and not entirely built from source, not to mention it's MIUI. It's been smooth for me, but this rom may not be for you if you're into intense gaming. Also, if you're going to bring up benchmark scores, don't bother posting because benchmarks aren't worth anything.
Superuser isn't enable by default - This isn't really a bug, but since I'm sure MIUI is new to a lot of people there will be issues with this. Go to the Permissions app, go to ROOT, and enable permission monitor.
Led doesn't flash unless plugged in - go into Settings > Led and change the colors to Green
Making phone calls to numbers that begin with 1 don't work as expected - remove the 1 from the beginning (this is an MIUI issue)
All sent text messages will display as "failed" after a reboot fixed in 130717
I'd like to mention that I turned the recent apps button into the menu key, mainly due to the fact that MIUI doesn't have any settings that could enable menu functionality in the hardware keys.
Questions and Answers
Q: does this work on GSM/will you release a GSM or Butterfly version?
A: it might work on GSM, I personally don't know since I'm a Verizon customer. I am not going to release a GSM/Butterfly version of this rom. I am not going to risk doing something wrong and breaking someone else's phone that I can't personally test/debug on, sorry. If someone wants to release a mod that will make it work for GSM, then by all means go nuts and I'll add it to the OP, but I cannot provide any kind of support for it.
Q: will X kernel work on this rom?
A: short answer - no, long answer - maybe, I haven't had time to go and test every single kernel on this rom. This is an AOSP-based rom, so if you're going to test a kernel make sure it's for AOSP. I personally had to do a couple of small kernel mods to make this rom boot, if you tested a kernel and it doesn't work, ask the kernel developer to contact me and I can send them the goods.
Q: how do I do X?
A: Google it. I am not going to answer any questions if you haven't put in enough time and research to look it up yourself. MIUI is an entirely different system from AOSP, and there are different ways of doing things (such as permissions/superuser). If you Googled it and came up dry, then leave a reply and I'll try to help you out.
Q: X force closed/my phone rebooted out of no where/I'm having some other issue, how do I fix it?
A: explain what went wrong, what was the procedure to causing the issue, and most importantly provide a logcat. If you don't know how to get a logcat, Google it. Explaining the procedure might be enough for me to fix it, but a logcat will drastically help in me getting a fix.
Q: when is the next version coming out/when is this feature getting added/when anything?
A: no
Q: can you add X app in the next update?
A: no, I'm trying to keep MiGusta relatively slim, and unless there's a VERY good reason, I won't add it.
Q: I get an error when trying to flash, what do I do?
A: make sure that the md5sum of the file (which can be found next to the download link in the OP) matches the md5 of the file on your computer. I flash the rom personally before uploading it to make sure it's smooth sailing, so if it doesn't flash then chances are you just got a bad download. If you downloaded the rom more than once and the md5 of both are the same, but doesn't match the one I listed, then let me know because it means it was a bad upload (and my fault more than anyone's).
Q: do I need to flash gapps?
A: nope, they're included!
Q: can I use your rom as a base for my rom?
A: I'd prefer if you didn't, mainly because I spent days learning how to do all of this by hand, and I'd prefer if all my hard work wasn't kanged. If you want to try porting MIUI yourself and you've run into an issue, shoot me a PM and I'll gladly share my knowledge
Please note - I am a human, I have a life, I have a job, and once the summer is over I have school. I'm doing this as a hobby, so don't expect me to be lurking this thread all day and answering questions on demand. I can't promise this will be updated as soon as a new version of MIUI/AdyScorpiusMIUI comes out, but I can promise that I'll try my best to release updates as soon as I can, and that I'll try to answer as many questions as I can.

Performance on the home screen is slow when moving icons and folders, but everything else seems relatively smooth. I changed the I/O scheduler to deadline in performance options which seemed to smooth things a bit. The games I've tried run without lag. I noticed the MIUI Weather widget isn't installed, and the status bar shows 'Verizon Wireless' in front of notification icons. Has anyone been successful in activating their Xiaomi account? The page doesn't load for me.

Was your phone plugged in when you switched to battery percentage? I noticed it doesn't show up when you're plugged in, but when you unplug your phone it works correctly.
And I didn't even realize the HTC One settings were there, I'll get rid of em' in the next release, thanks
