Hi,
I own a Sony MW600 that I used to connect to a SonyEricsson Android 1.6. recently I upgraded to the HTC Desire Z (A2.2) and what a surprise to realize that even if some information are sent the name of the caller or the title of the song played are not sent to the receiver.
It seems this problem is due to the fact that Google downgraded the version of the AVRCP in 2.X to 1.0 while it was 1.3 in A1.6
Is there a way to create a custom ROM or include in the CM Roms the latest version of the AVRCP libraries to allow full data exchange between bluetooth devices (like a remote, a watch, a car stereo...)
Thanks!
C.
+1 for this thread
Threadstarter,
The issue was that android didn't support avrcp 1.x
The question I have is does ICS support AVRCP 1.4
Hello @ all
I have the same Headset for my rooted LG O3D (off 2.3.5/EU).
Does anyone has an idea how to install the newer AVRCP version?
Or is there any possibility to export it from CM7?
Greetings
Hi all,
I would like to use AVRCP 1.3 bluetooth profile to send track information to my car receiver. As for now, the stock ICS roms only implement the AVRCP 1.0 profile in the bluetooth stack which doesn't include track information.
I've read that CM9 has implemented this profile into the ROM. I'm now using a stock based rom (jellysandwich 6.2.5) and I would like to know if it's possible to implement the avrcp 1.3 protocol into that rom.
Does anyone know this?
Thnx!
avrcp 1.3 found in android 4.3
Also found it in Samsung roms

I've been making tests and I managed to have AVRCP 1.3 protocol into a modified stock rom (Gin2Jellybean), you can check the version of AVRCP in the console. But it seems that there must be tweaked something more because I can see AVRCP 1.3 but the apps cannot send any track information (I'm using PowerAMP which supports it). It seems that nobody here is able to achieve this..
Greetings.
I'm having some problems with one app on my phone connecting to a bluetooth dongle. The app is torque, if it matters.
According to the devs there are issues with the bluetooth stack in my version of Android, and I wondering if anyone knows how to fix this. Apparantly, the 4.1.x implementation works, or at least there's a workaround for the problems with this one.
Any help would be appreciated! I need to read the error codes from my car...
I'm sure if the app dev can't fix it, we won't be able either
Is there a custom Rom for the One that uses the standard Bluetooth stack? Is that even possible to change?
The reason I ask is I'm trying to get the Sixaxis app to work and it can't set up Bluetooth properly. I understand HTC had s weird Bluetooth stack and that is probably why.
Thanks
does anyone has a fix for the bluetooth on the fusion2
